The old castle on the hill that no one ever went to, the one where mothers used to scare children.

Yes, that castle that no one entered and everyone feared. The one they swore to was bewitched and guarded by the most fearsome of monsters. For a beast.

A monster lived there. A lonely monster. A monster, drowning in his sadness, in his bitterness and ugliness. A monster that was not like the others. One who had no family, no last name to wear.

Monster, who had neither a past to boast nor a present to enjoy.

A beast that did not know where it came from or where it was going. A monster who doesn't remember how he got to that castle, but it's not like it matters much either, because he didn't have someone to care about him.

I had no feeling. A monster, who knew nothing but sadness.

A monster, who knew nothing about love, and that monster was me.

Only since my memory allows me to remember, with no one around me.
