A Mission Accomplished(???)

"And that should do it!" Fred said with a smile as he dabbed some ointment on my cheek. He then placed the forceps down as he threw away the gloves and cotton he used while treating my wounds.

"... How... did you know where I was? And also... why didn't you save me sooner since you already saw everything right from the start?" I asked as I eyed him suspiciously, ignoring the thumping of my heartbeat in my ear.

"Oh. I was going to but you see... The look on your face screamed that you didn't need help. So... I hesitated. Until I saw that you really were hopeless. So I jumped in." Fred replied nonchalantly as he shrugged his shoulders, making me want to punch him in to face. "Heh... I see... I'll have you know... I could have easily tossed him off me. He just caught me by surprise." I replied, glaring at Fred.

He said nothing and instead smiled innocently at me, irking me even more. I turned away from him and pulled on my shirt, covering the bandages he wrapped around my body. If anyone saw it, they'd think I just got mutilated or shot at due to the excessive amount of bandages.

"Well. Whatever. Thanks for your help. See you never." I said as I stood and headed towards the door out of the infirmary. As I reached for the handle, a pair of strong arms trapped me. My hand rested on the handle as I turned to look at Fred with a confused look on my face.

"What?" I questioned him, flinching from our close proximity as he smiled at me. "I won't accept that. I'll be seeing you tomorrow." Fred replied as he grinned at me. Shivers ran down my spine as I looked into his eyes, unable to grasp what he was thinking. Frederick then patted my shoulders softly as he then opened the door to leave the room, leaving me standing alone in the infirmary.

I fumed as I walked to my class, annoyed with what Frederick did before leaving. If he wanted to leave first he could have. No need to do things in such a roundabout manner. He is so annoying. I thought he was cold and serious but he seemed so willful and playful. Way to ruin my opinion of him... Though... he was quite helpful.

As I was deep in thoughts, I reached the classroom and opened the door without thinking much of anything. I grabbed my bag and left the class closing the door behind me without turning back, totally oblivious to the two people in there.

I tousled my hair as I thought about Fred's last words and decided to ignore it as I left the academy in a huff. As I walked down the hallways, I noticed some girls looking at me and smiled at them. They giggled and waved at me before leaving. Heh. See! I'm totally not gay whatsoever. It totally didn't bother me either. I thought before skipping down the halls towards the academy gate where my carriage should be.

The next day as I sat at my desk, an unfamiliar voice startled me. I jumped in my seat causing my books to slip out of my hands and dropped on the floor. In frustration, I bent to grab them only for someone to step on my book.

"Tsk. Hey! Watch your fo-..." I yelled only to stop short as the owner of the foot lifted his leg, revealing the crown prince who stood in front of me. "Yeah, my bad. But still... Could you... come with me?" he replied as he ran his fingers through his sleek silver hair, watching me with his golden pair of eyes.

"Erm... what about... Oh... Your highness." I replied bowing, before I tidied my books and placed them on my desk. "I can't really talk about it here. So could you please come with me?" the prince begged as he tugged my sleeve.

I grinned slightly before putting on a deadpan face and nodded, glancing back at the eyes staring at me. I wonder what it could be? Is the prince going to be my slave now? Hahaha... How could that be? I don't have dirt on him!

"Please! You've got to keep it a secret! Don't let Mary know I was with Lucy yesterday! I know you saw it! No point pretending. From where you stood, we were obvious! I also got a great scolding from Lucy as well after you walked in on us... But still, I'll do anything if you stay silent! Mary is really scary when she's angry!" the prince said in a hurry as he lowered his head in front of me.

"Oh? Yesterday? You mean... ... In the classroom?" I asked not entirely sure but just going along with what the prince was insinuating. From his worried expression, I guess I was right. A smile then crept up my face as I said, "Well, you said it yourself. So don't go backing out now. You'll do everything I say as long as I keep my mouth shut. Got it?" The prince looked up at me with a confused look on his face as he studied my face.

"What...? But why should I..." he started to raise his voice as I looked towards the window and opened it to yell Mary's name. "Ah! Yes! I accept! I'll do it!" he said as he placed his hand against my mouth. "Wokay." I replied as I pulled his hand off my mouth.

As I walked down the hallway back to my class, I couldn't suppress my excitement and opened a window as I screamed "WOOOHHOOO!!!". My excitement stopped short however when someone tapped my shoulder making me turn around to find a group of boys gathering around me.

"Heh, did something good finally happen to you? It seems you forget your place after chatting with the prince once." one of the boy said as he shoved me against the opened window. "Ah! Hey that's dangerous!" I yelled. "Why don't we teach you what is reaalllyyy dangerous." another boy said as he grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, pulling me close to his face as he grinned at me menacingly.

I frowned at their cliched shallow characters before spitting in the face of the guy who was holding me up in the air. "YOU! HOW DARE YOU!" the boy yelled as he threw me on the floor, wiping his face with his sleeve. I grimaced from the pain as I glared at them. Looks like the villain has to get villainy now.
