I woke up, sweating and screaming. I woke up from a nightmare again. My throat was slit by her sharp nails and I drowned. I was suffocated and blood was also flowing around the water from my neck, painting the clear water to red. It was utterly painful.
I groaned tiredly as I started to feel emotional. I started crying wondering why and how this happened to me. After a few minutes of crying, I wiped my tears and headed to my bathroom, looking at my now puffy and red eyes with dark eyebags.
I sighed as I began brushing my teeth. After a few minutes of water gargling, I brace myself to go inside as I can smell how stinky and disgusting I smell. I slowly and carefully turned on the shower as I adjusted to the cold-warm water.
I kept my eyes open, scared that if I close them like last time, the same thing will happen again. I turned it off as I started scrubbing my head and spreading shampoo around, it feels chilly around my head, it’s nice.
I turned around as I was about to turn on the shower tap, I saw my reflection slightly blurry on the tap and I saw another figure not quite clear enough as I got shocked and looked behind, my heart thumping really fast as I remembered the previous event.
....
There was nothing.
I took a deep breath as I slowly switched the tap on, it’s still the same temperature as I slowly and warily rinse the shampoo with my eyes open, head tilted backwards.
A few minutes later I finished showering, it feels much more refreshing now. I silently thank God as nothing else happened anymore afterwards. I sighed, not wanting to think about any of those terrifying events anymore.
I took one last deep breath as I went outside my room, wanting to eat breakfast. Nothing much happened while I was eating and afterwards playing on my phone, but it had been a few hours since I ate before, so I started to change my clothes to practice ballet.
My hand was still injured, it hasn’t recovered yet, but it’s okay, it doesn’t hurt as much anymore. I started stretching and warming up before I learned some more movements I saw from social media.
. . .
Ever since then, of course some other scary things have happened to me, but it doesn’t happen as severely as the last time anymore, which is a good thing for me. I have been practicing ballet daily and it eventually became a part of my routine.
Today is the day for the ballet competition. It’s currently 7 am and I am getting ready to go. The competition starts at 8 and traffic might happen or something, which is bad. So I decided to go earlier.
I took a cab to go there and much to my luck, we arrived there within 20 minutes, no traffic at all. When I arrived, there were already some participants there with their makeup and costume ready.
Of course my makeup was ready too, but I haven’t put on my costume. The place was quite interesting, it was big and fancy, there were some of the audience already. I smiled as I made my way to the table where I was supposed to take my number.
I got number 13 and I thought it wasn’t that bad as I won’t be the last, but when I asked them, they said there were 15 participants which made me shocked, I thought it would be 20 or more as to how much the amount of money would be given if we were able to win this competition.
I just sighed as I at least shouldn’t worry about having too many competitors and make my way to the bathroom to change my clothes. I changed my clothes shortly and afterwards I fixed some of my makeup that’s ruined a little bit due to my sweat. Then I sat down, waiting for the competition to start.
The competition started an hour later. I started to watch them dance ever so fluently and elegantly, yet that didn’t decrease my confidence over myself. I smiled, silently judging and criticizing them whenever they did something great or made mistakes.
I didn’t realize that after this participant finished, I would be the next to perform, that was until someone made their way to me and led me backstage. It was a studio, there were mirrors and make-up everywhere.
I decided to sit down and check my make-up for a while. In 5 more minutes, I will be the next to perform and I felt really nervous, but that nervousness faded away as it got replaced with a scared feeling as I saw in the mirror of the woman’s reflection behind me.
...
Just then, she grasped her shoulder and out of reflex with her heartbeat going faster each second, she looked back to see a terrifying smile on her face whose eyes were black, complete black and black liquid spilling out of her eyes.
Before she was able to scream, she lifted a scissor and stabbed her eye, dragging it down to her neck as blood splattered out from her face. She fell weakly to the edge of her chair, her hair covering her horrifying and hideous face while beneath was her eyes widened and one of her eyeballs falling out as her mouth was opened previously about to scream but never truly got the chance to.
. . .
There she lies her now paled and lifeless body, no one yet to find her.
…
Yet, will she now be one to kill the next target awaiting?..
