Meeting

Noran came in and took off her shoes. As she was passing by the living room, Carl had been staring at her fiercely. Feeling his fierce stare, Noran flinched.

Carl came closer and looking in her eyes, asked,"Where have you been?"

Noran was not interested in telling him so said,"You are still awake?"

Carl looled a bit displeased and gave a sigh. "You..Do you know how much you make other people worry?"

Noran was shocked when she heard that someone was worrying about her.

Carl lifted her up in his arms and said,"You must be tired. Lets go to our room."

Noran didn't resist much for she was exhausted after the long day.

After they reached their room, Carl put Noran on the bed gently. Then he closed the door, pit her bag aside and asked,"Do you wanna eat something?"

Noran did not have the time to eat so she just nodded.

Carl went out of the room and after few minutes brought back a tray with food. Noran sat up on the bed. Carl put the tray on the nearest bedside table and sat beside Noran.

Carl said," I heated it up just now. So eat slowly."

Noran nodded and went to take the bowl of soup when Carl stopped her hand and said," Let me blow it for you."

Noran was a bit taken aback by his gentleness. She said,"Its okay.I can do it myself."

Carl said," Let me do it. Anyways its my duty as a husband to take care of you."

Noran didn't refuse anymore and let Carl feed her. She felt like she had gone back to being a little kid and it somehow gave her a warm feeling.

After eating Carl went out with the empty tray while Noran washed herself up and after doing so, laid down on her bed deep in thoughts-"Even though this marriage will not last long but he is still taking responsibility as a husband. I have to say his girlfriend must be very lucky to have him. Well it doesn't matter. I'll just go back to being myself." She heaved a sigh.

Carl came in and after changing his clothes, laid beside her. Noran was feeling sleepy when she felt comfortable by someone's warmth and fell asleep. Carl hugged her from back and fell asleep.

Next morning...

Noran opened her eyes and felt someone holding her. She removed his hand from top of her and was about to go when Carl grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards him.

"Where are you going?" Carl asked her.

"I have to get ready for work."

"Yesterday you were tired so I let you go. But now answer me why were you late yesterday?"

Noran was quiet for some time. She really didn't like to tell anyone about her private life. Carl spoke again,"Is it that you don't wanna tell me? Fine, but next time be sure to give me a call. Do not get me worried."

Noran felt a bit guilty and since he treated her with so much kindness, she told him," It was nothing. Yesterday I had to do extra work. So I stayed back and then I got a call from Lee and went to meet him."

Carl became a bit upset and held her tighter. "Oh...but why did it take so long to come back?"

Noran replied," I had to go for a meeting with some of my friends."

Carl wanted to ask who were those friends but he thought he might seem irritating to her for prying so much into her life. He realeased her from his hold.

Noran got up and went to the washroom. "He held me so tight just now. It hurts a bit. I wonder if I said something wrong."

After that they both got ready for work and they hardly talked. Both went to their respective workplaces.
