CHAPHTER III

Find Positive Energy From Great People Around You

Dian's first secret to being

able to survive in the midst of economic difficulties is to cultivate as many

positive thoughts as possible and during her midwifery education, she obtained

positive thoughts, among others, from biographies of famous figures. The

biography that influenced him the most was the story of Thomas Alfa Edison, the

inventor of electricity who was initially derided as an idiot and had no

future. In fact, Edison was able to create something powerful and change the

life of the world.

Dian also found positive energy

when she met with experts and state officials. She is a person who likes to

read books, has a calm mind and always supports Dian. All friends always

encourage Dian not to give up easily and keep the spirit in the face of failure.

Dian realized that she could not always rely on money sent from her parents.

Despite trying to save money, the need will continue to increase. So Dian was

determined to make new efforts.

Dian also tried to find

additional income, namely by becoming a nurse during semester 1 vacation. Even

though the wages she received were not much, only 70 thousand per day, but Dian

learned valuable lessons from there. The lesson was strung together by Dian

into the following magic sentence: “If we work hard with good ways, good

intentions and good determination, we can achieve our dreams.” The first job

also brought Dian together with the midwife Hasnerita. The poverty that

occurred actually gave me many opportunities to open my thoughts to be able to

help others. It taught Dian that in difficult conditions we can still get

opportunities as long as we are observant of the situation.

When Dian is difficult and gets

bad behavior and is discriminated against and even criminal. The peak incidence

of bad behavior when Dian studied midwifery was at the beginning of the sixth

semester. I felt I was told to pay for the practice and the food and medicine I

used while practicing at the midwife and also for housing and the amount at

that time was quite expensive. Jakarta on February 18, 2013 the DIV Midwifery

Study Program, STIKIM, today sent 4th and 6th semester students simultaneously

to hospitals, maternity hospitals and private practice midwives.

For the 6th semester for 3 months while the

4th semester is only 2 weeks. I began to see irregularities when the delivery

was in the sixth semester, three other students were sent and there were even

two people while I was there alone and 1 classmate. Arriving at the maternity

home, I started to have bad behavior. I was forced to work by the lecturers and

the owner of the maternity home Dwi Asih and the staff there for 24 hours

non-stop. Meanwhile, my classmate works only 12 hours. I was not paid there,

but I paid everything to the maternity house. Did everyone think that I was a

student at that time, there should have been a break but wasn't given a short

break? I am not a robot but forced by them. While there, Dian was given stale

food and drink to eat, even though Dian had paid a hundred thousand per day

there, while Dian's juniors there only paid for food and drink a day and only

paid fifty thousand to be given new food plus fruit and milk. I was treated

badly there, at the maternity house and even then I was told to pay for a

monthly room rent, I was charged three million rupiah. Every patient in the

maternity home who gave birth there I was forced by the maternity hospital

every time I helped the delivery process all the tools and drugs that I used to

help the patient they asked me for money for gloves and medicines. I also have

to pay the price of the yarn to them. Patient is about 1 million. For 6 days I

was still strong being treated like that but I was not a robot on February 24,

2013. Dian started complaining of headaches\, runny nose and fever. My feet are

starting to swell and it hurts to walk. I took the painkiller paracetamol and I

had to pay for the flu which was an unreasonable price. There I was treated

inhumanely working and could not rest even though I was sick. There is a

shortage of medical personnel, the owner and person in charge of me, Mrs. Yus

at STIKIM, knows my situation. Midwife Yus reported to the campus by telephone

that my father and I had a motorcycle accident and were being treated. At that

time, I asked to be transferred to an internship at Mintoharjo Hospital so that

I could rest and care for my parents who were in critical condition at the

hospital at that time.

But the campus cruelly said please help Dian

Damayanti because she is not competent to be a midwife. How did you feel when

it was reported that your parents were in critical condition and needed you but

the school did not give permission to see your parents for only 1 hour? Only

answers from Mrs. Siti, the representative of the study program and Mrs. Santi

by telephone. I was told to take vitamin medicine and try to rest when the

patient is quiet.

During the 2 weeks Dian there

were many maternal patients who were all in critical condition and they didn't

want the patient and family to be referred to the hospital and asked to give

birth at that place. Was referred to the hospital just wanting to be helped at

the maternity home. I work with the owner of the maternity hospital because

many of our patients don't sleep, we only sleep for 1 to 2 hours. And I sleep

not in the room but on a hard lobby chair and lots of mosquitoes. To make it

easier for the patient's family to call me and also the midwife on duty. there

is behavior like that midwife employees there are 5 people and 1 nurse and 1

pharmacist all work divided into 3 shifts while I am an apprentice student

there are treated like that even if I steal 1 - 2 hours of sleep there I am

beaten with a broom stick to wake up if I don't wake up I doused with water.

At that time the patient was

afraid to see my appearance which seemed neglected and even scary because of

lack of rest. I reported on February 27, 2013 to the owner of the maternity

hospital on campus and my best friend about Dian's condition when she was

really sick, I didn't do anything naughty, I wasn't strong anymore. I asked the

campus if any of my classmates had not received INC, BBL, Postpartum, and

pathological targets because where I did an internship there were so many

patients that I was a student who was forced to work 24 hours per day. At that

time I was scolded and called a liar. I showed my immovable legs to Mrs.

Hasnerita and Mrs. Ida as the Midwifery DIV Study Program, I was really sick but

that day I was taken to the go to Gatot Subroto Hospital and Kesdam Jaya

Hospital.

My medical results were checked, namely I had

arthritis, insomnia at that time the doctor who examined me at the hospital saw

several scratch marks on Dian's arms and hands as well as bruises all over

Dian's body and was also referred a neurologist and also a psychiatrist and in

a state of trauma I was immediately examined I was exposed to also a

psychiatrist and in a state of trauma I was immediately examined I was exposed

to traumatic caused by a mental condition triggered by a tragic incident

experienced by the victim of a crime, In short, traumatic makes it very

difficult for the sufferer to forget traumatic experience. Factors that could trigger traumatic, at that time: I

felt sick and injured due to physical, verbal and slavery violence at the

practice at the Dwi Asih maternity home and campus. They also forced me to take

an aptitude test because according to them I was not suitable and did not have

the ability to be a midwife at that time I did an aptitude test at one of the

state hospitals, with the result of my IQ test at that time only 106 due to

taking the test while holding sick, exhausted and

in a state of forced and threatened condition. The actual result of Dian's ability is an IQ above average. Dian Damayanti's talents are scientific, pharmacy and computer science,

management analyst all the documents I attached to the campus the results of my

medical records forcibly and even threatened me, in fact I even pleaded with

the doctor at the hospital, my campus lecturer threatened me in front of they

and they took pity on me and gave me a copy and also at the campus the proof of

my health report disappeared.

On March 14, 2013, both of

Dian's parents came to campus with a repeated request from the campus stating

that the child was sick. Which parent would accept if their child during an

internship was treated badly and inhumanely, in a pathetic condition, to

arthritis, insomnia at that time the doctor who examined me at the hospital saw

several scratch marks on Dian's arms and hands as well as bruises all over

Dian's body, to traumatic, and to fear. Where the practice violates labor laws,

and the college willfully condones it. Luckily at that time both parents were

responsive and tried to come there even though my father's limp leg condition

had just returned from the hospital straight to the internship practice with my

father's friend who was in the military at that time saw his son being treated

like a barbarian and his son at that time had to eat stale and the place to eat

was thrown on the ground.

Even though at that time there were many

patients, why did no one dare to help my child, but they were left like that.

Which parent's heart doesn't hurt to see their child being treated like that. My

mother cried and was angry with them why her daughter was treated like that and

even slandered it, it didn't bother me, my parents and friends of my parents

immediately took me to the army hospital in Central Jakarta to take physical

and mental treatment for Dian at that time. On March 23, 2013 Dian wanted to

attend lectures and was forced by the campus to submit a health certificate

from the hospital. even though it was scattered but the campus at that time

made it difficult for me even my bag and laptop at that time was thrown into

the street outside the campus gate and I was expelled by being dragged like an animal

I was begging for their mercy to study I begged to prostrate to be able to

follow the lesson.

but what I got was only rude

behavior and humiliation, many people and students at that time but no one

wanted to help me except six of my friends who wanted to lend me clothes and

gave me their college notebooks for me to study so I didn't miss lessons. Even

though I was not allowed to study in the classroom at that time I was allowed

to study outside the classroom door. I sat on the floor but I was not ashamed.

I listened to the lecturer giving lessons and I recorded lecture material even

though it was only from outside the classroom because I was always kicked out

by all the lecturers at the same time. In that case, I have assignments and

quizzes to do even though I have to sit on the floor outside the classroom. On

March 28, 2013 Dian's parents were informed and told by friends that they were

even given a video of the campus treatment for their child, who came straight

to campus and met with the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor.

the result of the meeting the

Chancellor and vice chancellor even asked Dian's parents to pay for the

semester and final assignment at that time and at that very second Dian's

parents immediately paid everything in full amounting to 30 million, but what

was obtained was only extortion and Dian immediately leave orally and are not

allowed to take the final exam. From April 1, 2013 to May 7, 2013 Dian kindly

requested that she was on leave where her leave letter was and she was treated

badly until after that Dian reported this incident to the Directorate General

of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of

Indonesia. Because the behavior of the midwifery school has violated the

education law in Indonesia. After that I learned to compose the final project

and was allowed to take the exam assisted by the ministry of education and

culture. I did not study at campus, I studied scientific writing from

scientific experts abroad and also from within the country assisted by the

ministry. The incident did not make them change for the better, in fact Dian

was more forced and treated badly, instead it was even more cruel by the

campus.

At that time I asked DIkti for

help to immediately ask to move from the school at that time. Dian told Dikti that the behavior at that time was not good, slavery, and

attempted murder, discrimination, crime and not allowed to.

Not only that for 1 year I felt

hell. They are getting crueler, I get terror like being sent a package

containing threatening letters and animals such as cats being hung in front of

the gate of my house or to my internship. This case reached its climax, I was

not only treated like that, I almost died during my internship when I wanted to

go to do public education, the vehicle I was using had the brake cable cut and

I ended up in an accident my motorcycle fell into a ravine. I was helped by a

soldier who was returning home from training by accident.

Therefore I was still able to

be helped even though I was in a coma for a few days, and my head was operated

on and my left eyelid was stitched because it was torn. The effect of that is

that my verbal and cognitive abilities have problems and I am still grateful

that my eyes are not blind. From the start, my parents tried to demand the

justice of their child and also asked the Minister of Health, the Ministry of

Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, the Police and also the

President of the Republic of Indonesia at that time and finally it worked.

My child was able to survive

even with the condition of caring for my child to be treated physically and

mentally. Dian did not give up to be able to study. She left midwifery school

and it was not the school that transferred her, but a transfer letter directly

from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and

PEPABRI. But what did he get, have you ever thought that when you were sick you

were looking for a midwifery college. At that time, no one wanted to accept

transfer students like Dian, even though they already used a school transfer

letter from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of

Indonesia.

Was not issued at that time. All

universities that had midwifery schools at that time refused even though there

was an official letter. Finally, when we were at the lowest point and prayed to

God, I got advice from the director of Belmawa, the director general of DIKTI

at that time suggested to the management field. And those few days I accepted

to start in a new field and started studying from scratch and I chose to study

at the STIAMI Social and Management Institute because the lectures there were

very good. Although private, the teaching system is very good and there schools

distribute free food for all students and also drinks every day the staff and

lecturers are very polite and kind, I even feel comfortable and there are

taught to worship and good for others.

For six months I studied at the

Institute of Social Sciences and Management, STIAMI, Jakarta, Indonesia. I started to feel comfortable in the environment and I was taught to love

and respect each other, I also got love and affection from everyone, even my

parents often communicated with the lecturers and all the staff were very good. The way of teaching that is taught is very enjoyable, even I just found out

that this school has students who are workers in government agencies. Flexible lecture hours and also the quality of service exceeds the

standards of public universities in Indonesia.

In the seventh month I got a

call from the ministry of education and culture, there was a private university

of midwifery who wanted to accept transfer students like me to continue my

studies and I accepted but I was also studying in the department of state

administration at that time. At that time I came to Urindo and I gave the

documents I had and also the transfer letter from the Ministry of Education and

Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. at that time there were irregularities at

the midwifery school when there was a ministry they accepted me well but when

the ministry returned home the university cheated I should have been able to

enter semester 7 but I was demoted to semester 3 and I was entered not in d4

midwifery but D3 midwifery and in the letter of my transfer to the D4.

I was forced to enter the girls' dormitory and

it happened when my parents came home. All my communication media during Monday

and Thursday were taken by the campus. I was allowed to go home on Thursday

afternoon and at that time I told my parents and the ministry that the

university was cheating. Dian did not complain at all, she studied diligently

and even though she was treated arbitrarily by the lecturer in midwifery, she

still worked hard to make her dreams come true. Even though the semester was

sent down, Dian still wanted to go to college and do her assignments.

Everyone at that time was

amazed by Dian's struggle to study and she could have no obstacles in taking

two different schools and different majors, could score high GPA scores and

never skip college. At STIAMI, I study

on Saturdays and Fridays, so I don't bother studying in midwifery. There was an

oddity during my 1-year internship at Urindo. I got an internship at one of the

public hospitals in the city of Bogor at that time after completing one year of

education. Dian got an assignment to practice where I did not take midwifery

education instead of nursing, but at that time I was placed by the hospital and

the university to the ICU room specifically for the treatment of Neurology for

1 week. At that time, Dian, who basically did not know much about the

management of neurological diseases, had to be forced to master the way of

handling the neurological patient care system.

By the hospital and the

university. Inevitably Dian had to study Diseases handled by neurologists were

those that occurred in the brain, spinal cord, and the nervous system as a

whole. Diseases in question include: stroke, epilepsy, headaches and migraines,

brain tumors, brain aneurysms, peripheral neuropathy, sleep pattern disorders,

neurogenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, neuromuscular

diseases, such as myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, and amyotropic lateral

sclerosis. ALS), infections of the nervous system, such as encephalitis,

meningitis, to HIV. It should be noted that the neurology treatment room also

has sub-specialists or sub-specialists for children, namely sub neuromuscular,

sub headache, epilepsy, neuropsychiatry, and others.

After that, one

week later I was put in the operating room and I often helped perform

operations with neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and within 1 week

most of the patients were in the neurology department to perform surgical

procedures. Operating table. There I learned a lot a little bit and I often

became his assistant such as giving tools according to his instructions for

surgery. Even during the treatment room for neurological diseases I often help

specialist doctors and nurses there how to check your speaking and seeing

abilities to mental health Test your strength, reflexes, and body coordination

Make sure your sense of touch is still working or not. To confirm the

diagnosis, sometimes a neurologist may also ask you to perform further

examinations depending on the symptoms you are experiencing.

These include blood tests, urine tests, and

scans (X-ray, CT scan, or MRI) on parts of the brain or spinal cord. Spinal

cord. Other identical actions that neurologists perform are: 1. Lumbar puncture

this neurologic procedure is performed to check your spinal fluid. A lumbar

puncture is a procedure to take a sample of spinal fluid by inserting a special

needle after applying local anesthetic to the area to be sampled. 2. Tensilon

test this neurological procedure is done by injecting a liquid medicine called

Tensilon to see the muscle reaction afterward. This test is recommended for

those of you who experience symptoms of a neurological disease called

myasthenia gravis.

 Electromyography (EMG) Electromyography is

needed to detect electrical activity between the central nervous system (brain

or spinal cord) and the peripheral nervous system. An EMG examination may be

uncomfortable for some people because this procedure is performed by inserting

a special instrument into your muscle. However, an EMG can detects the presence

or absence of abnormalities in the nervous system as a whole. Before performing

this procedure, a neurologist will first advise you not to take blood thinners.

Electroencephalography (EEG) an EEG or electroencephalography are electrodes

that are attached to your head. This procedure detects electrical activity in

the brain. Brain disorders that can be detected with an EEG include brain

inflammation, tumors, injuries, to psychiatric disorders and determine the

cause of your seizures. Unlike EMG, the EEG test does not cause discomfort. In

fact, not a few people then fall asleep in the middle of the test which usually

takes up to an hour. I learned directly from the experts and also learned all

of this with the help of neurology specialists, all the staff nurses at the

hospital. They even know that I am a student midwife not a nurse who

understands gynecology and obstetrics more than neurology. All of them taught

me by lending me books on neurology and procedures for treating neurological

patients. And after 2 weeks I was in the room for internal medicine.

While every day I asked and

asked the campus and the hospital to put me in the proper part, namely the delivery

room and maternal and child care. Not a place like this. This is already

against the law and also this is malpractice. At that time I tried my best and

also took action. I first asked the employees there, namely the nurses and

specialist doctors, what actions should take to treat the patient to reduce the

occurrence of errors in the action because I am still new in the field. While

there I lived in a rented house near the hospital area. My current experience

is better because my mother comes with me to live in Bogor because my mother

doesn't really trust me to live alone in the area because there is a

crime-prone area for robberies, robberies and kidnappings and the victims were

brutally murdered at that time I lived in that area and I often go home at 12

at night because I enter the afternoon shift and finish at 23.30 WIB. My mother

also lives in my rented house, about 1 kilometer from the hospital, but my

rented house is quite luxurious and there is a kitchen and a drying area. Every

night I have to pass through deserted roads and swamps to cut the road to my

house every day because when I go around the road is about 2 kilometers. I was

forced to pass that road every day even there I was a little scary there were

pythons and coberas.

it happened that time when I came home from

the hospital in front of my rented terrace I saw a cobera snake I asked for

help from the local residents as well as the fire department to take the snake

I was quite shocked to see that and not only that in the rent there was also a

long cobera found 1 meter not to peck my mother who is in the house. Dian was

quite grateful that local residents allowed us to stay at the village head's

house to take shelter until the snake catching process was completed. I didn't

even dare to go back to the rented house because I was afraid. Finally I moved

to the village head's house with my parents. The people around there are kind

and friendly. My mom is very comfortable living there if my dad comes to stay 2

times a week because my dad works in a company as the head of HRD and my dad is

also a retired Indonesian National Army soldier. My dad is a hard worker and he

doesn't feel at home at home, even though he's retired, he's still working. So

you don't get bored easily and get entertainment.

For almost two months there,

Dian was only able to rotate rooms instead of in the midwifery room, instead

she was sent to a special treatment room for internal medicine and also to an

infectious disease treatment room instead of a mother and child care room. but

what I got there was more than sadistic words they did that because I worked as

an intern there was always not in the right place, after that I was slandered

by one of the staff there and also the campus who said I was an incompetent

person in their field, spoiled and complained a lot, even I was extorted money

by the hospital and also the campus was worst I did an internship there was not

given a value and also I had to pay 3 times as much at that time for the

medicine and also the tools I use such as gloves and also the medicine I give

to patients During my internship there, if I calculated the price, it was

around 200 million rupiah because the drugs and equipment in the treatment room

with the patient with the disease were very expensive.

For only God still gives me

sustenance so I can pay. This is a lesson in my life, it turns out that to be

successful it takes struggle and I saw at that time there were a lot of wrong

things in the health world. It should be fixed immediately. After that, I was

transferred to a private midwife clinic in East Jakarta by the campus, but

there was an oddity between the midwife and the campus, not only forcing me to

work 24 hours and not being allowed to go home, the treatment was almost the

same as the dwi asih maternity home, but this Even more cruel, this place of

practice turns out to be a fake vaccine distributor. I've only been there for

two days of internship there and I haven't taken any action, such as

vaccination. I came there and started practicing there. There are only general

check-ups and family planning hours.

The incident was horrendous and

also included in the mass media that year there were several hospitals also

using the fake vaccine and the price of the vaccine was very expensive already

many thousands of babies and children became victims of it around Jakarta. At

that time my parents as well as all my friends in Stiami asked me are you okay?

all my friends and my parents helped me out of the place even until my parents

came to the police station to prove their son did not interfere in the matter

also proved that dian was not an employee at the midwife clinic she was just a

student who had just come for an internship there sent by Urindo campus.

Luckily the police understood

and I was released. It was not the university that guaranteed that at that time

it was hands off and did not want to be responsible. I told and consulted about

this to my friends and my parents as well as the Ministry of Research,

Technology and Higher Education at that time and legal experts, as well as the

East Jakarta court judge, one of my parents' friends. They saw it like that and

they advised me to report the midwifery campus for breaking the law and also

you better not need to continue your midwifery education because they abused

your kindness and intelligence to endanger the lives of many people. After

that, Dian immediately made an official complaint letter to the Ministry of

Research, Technology and Higher Education and I decided to leave midwifery and

all of them apologized, it turned out that the midwifery special education

school behaved badly and was dangerous at that time.

At that time, I was not only

terrorized at home, but the midwifery school forced me to practice until the

lecturer and midwifery staff came to Stami it was rude to look for me to agree

to do an internship in an inappropriate place. At that time the STIAMI Jakarta

Institute of Social Sciences and Management patiently and kindly faced

lecturers and staff from the midwifery campus who were not good even the STIAMI

campus provided documents that a student named Dian Damayanti was currently on

leave. So he was not on campus and we fulfilled the request of the Midwifery

campus at that time in a letter that Dian Damayanti students had to be on leave

to carry out internships at that time. Disrespectfully, lecturers and midwifery

staff left the Stiami campus. To look for me to be forced into an

apprenticeship. At that time I was immediately evacuated to Central Kalimantan

to my father's relative's house temporarily so that it would not be misused.

At that time my parents felt

uncomfortable and fed up with the midwifery university and immediately wrote a

letter to Mr. Ir. H. Joko Widodo

President of the Republic of Indonesia. And get a copy of the document from the reply to the letter that has been

followed up on January 27, 2016. And on March 1, 2016 I was free from that

savage midwifery school. After that I started to focus and study at the social

sciences and management institute of STIAMI properly and also there I made

friends and also lecturers and the staff were very good and educated me well

and like family. I finished my undergraduate studies in only three and a half

years and I graduated with the best graduate honors. And straight to my master's degree completed my studies with the title of

the best graduate.

After that I focused on school

and pursued a career and tried to apply for civil servants three times, and

always failed. During the first exam, I took the CPNS test the first time I

failed the exam because of a problem with the computer that was used when I

took the exam, such as in the middle of the road my computer suddenly died, in

the middle of the exam I asked the supervisor for help to change places, it

turned out that after changing seats when I wanted to start repeating due to an

infrastructure error at that time I had the misfortune of my computer not

functioning properly the internet network was cut off at 40 minutes of the 2018

cpns exam, so from that I was transferred by the supervisor to the third

computer but unfortunately the computer mouse was not working properly so from

that I was moved again to the fourth computer then I got a computer that works

properly.

When the last 30 minutes of the exam I just

started working on the 2018 Cpns questions, I finally failed not to pass the

test because I couldn't answer all the questions, I fell at TIU the score was

only 45. I don't understand pictures and basic math. In the second year I

failed to be selected for the 2019 CPNS administration. In 2021 I failed the

cpns test, my grades were in accordance with the minimum standard for CPNS who

passed. But it takes only 74 people for the Pancasila Ideology Agency, so I

failed. Cannot enter the next test at the SKB selection stage. Instead I became

a speaker at a conference held at Oxford university.
