"Death!?"

I spent so much time with her. Next day I played with her like other days. She used to spend her night in our backyard, but that day I decided to keep her in the shed of our neighbor's house. They are not actually my neighbor, they are my relative. My maternal joint family made their own house side by side to each other. They were my mother's Uncle and Auntie. Well,they had cats and kittens all around their house(but they are not the so called Cat house). Back to the point, I kept her there and thought she would be safe there. That night, there was a thunderstorm and then heavy rainfall.

I woke early because we were visiting a relative who lives in the next village. It was the last day of our stay at my maternal house. Well, we came back home when it was almost evening. That day I didn't got a chance to meet Teeny. I came back home, freshened up and went to search for her. She was not in either of our garden. I searched for her in my mother's uncle's house where I put her yesterday. I found her under a bench outside the house. She was sleeping.

I carefully dragged her over the bench and sat down. She was surprised and seemed to not recognize me first. But I petted her. She was making a noise which simply tells that she had caught a cold and her left nose was blocked with catarrh. She had her eyes covered with water(not tears though). She really caught a cold!

I petted her continuously as I didn't know what to do else and all the elders were out by the gathering. I didn't go for I hate gatherings because I am an introvert. The other children were firing crackers and the loud noices were scaring poor little Teeny. The crackers were burning after 2 minutes. I noticed whenever the loud noise came up, Teeny startled and then started to shiver. Each and every time I was petting her to calm her down. But after another cracker bursted she started to shiver. It happened each and every time.

After 5 minutes, mother's uncle came and asked "What happened? Why do you have that sad face on?" I said "'Grandpa, Teeny is very sick. She has caught a cold last night. She has become very weak. Can you do something?" He was a Veterinarian. He said "I could have... I had the medicine but it's over now. Let me see her a bit." Saying that he observed her a bit and told "She has caught cold very badly. Her mother has not come for almost four days. And she didn't drink her mother's milk. Allthough we give her milk to drink but she needs her mother at this age. She is very small now. This is why we call those non tail cats as dangerous and careless. Sime animals are like that but they are not so careless to leave their baby at this kind of age. Well, I will give her some warm milk. Lets see if she can drink it or not." I was just praying you God for her health.

Grandpa gave her some warm milk, but she was too weak to get up and drink it. She was not even able to walk properly. She wasn't even blinking her eyes just staring at an object or person in front of her. Grandpa told "I guess there's no hope left. She is not blinking, not drinking, and can't even stand up properly. That only indicates to death. I wish I had the the medici-" When I heard the word "Death", my eyes widened. I told "Death!?" Grandpa sighed and told "So sorry..."
