First Day

Mishe's Pov

RING!!! RING!!! RING!!!

I sleepily woke up and turned off my alarm and got of bed. I rubbed my eyes to take off the sleepiness in them.

"Mishe, it's already 8:54. What are you still doing?" I heard my mom shout downstairs.

"I'm up mom. I'll shower now." I shouted back. I went inside the bathroom without waiting for an answer back.

I looked into the mirror and thought to myself. 'Today's the first day. I can't be late.' It excites me to think that I can finally earn some money and help my parents.

Without wasting any more time, I quickly got to the shower and took a shower. After that I checked the time and changed into some formal student clothes.

"Mishe come down if you're done. breakfast is ready." I heard mom yelled again as I arranged my hair.

"Coming." I replied and finished my hair before grabbing my bag and coming downstairs.

"Good morning." I greeted my mom and dad. "Good morning son." "Good morning Mishe." Dad and Mom both greeted.

"Come and eat." Mom said while plating the food she just cooked.

"Chicken." I said excitedly and ran towards my sit. I grabbed my plate fastly and slung my bag at my seat before handing out my plate for mom to put some rice.

Both my parents laughed at me before mom scooped some rice and put it in my plate. She also gave me the chicken feet and wings (which I really like.)

"Thank you Mom." I thanked her and prayed before digging in my meal. I moaned at the taste of the chicken one I bit it.

"Mom you make the best chickens." I gave her a thumbs up and bit into my chicken again. She smiled and thanked me.

Dad patted my hair making me smile at them. "You better not starve yourself when working. Remember, we only agreed if you promise to take care of yourself while at work. Don't tire yourself out, OK?" Dad asked.

I nodded with full glee and munched my food again. After we finished eating my dad insisted on dropping me off to the bus stop.

"Take care son." Dad hugged me goodbye and I waved back at him with a small smile. I entered the bus and took a seat at the end seat. I can't stop feeling nervous all of the time.

'What if I make something wrong today?' 'Will Sir Mei fire me right away?' 'Being an intern, I can also be fired so I need to be careful or I might lose my opportunity to graduate.' I took some minutes to calm myself down and looked outside the window.

After 7/8 minutes the bus stopped. I got up and walked towards the exit, Thanking the driver while paying. I walked towards the building and took a deep breath before pushing the door forward and coming in.

I was suddenly greeted with the receptionist/secretary. I smiled at her and greeted her good morning. She returned the smile and greeted me back.

"You're quite early kid. Ms. Gao must've told you that Boss doesn't like late workers. Welp I'll check you in then. Here's your ID." Ms. Venice said.

I grabbed my ID and looked at it. "Thank you Ms. Venice." She smiled more and pointed at the elevator.

"Go to Ms. Gao. Her floor number is 12. She has your work for today. Good luck." She said. I nodded cheerfully and made my way towards the elevator.

I pressed 12th floor and waited. On my way at the 12th floor, I encountered some employees who are very nice and generous.

When I finally got to out, I looked left and right to see if Ms. Gao was here. When I didn't see her I made my way towards the person on my left.

"Uhmm. Good morning ma'am. Uh may I ask where I can see Ms. Gao?" I asked her politely. She looked up to me and suddenly squealed.

It caught many employees attention and turned to us. The madame didn't seem to be bothered and reached for my cheeks before squizzing it.

I yelped as she may have squized it too hard. She doesn't seem notice and continued squizzing it.

"Gail, let the kid go. look at his face. Your squashing his cheeks too hard." I sighed in relief as a boy employee came to us and pulled supposedly "Gail's" hand out of my face.

I rubbed my cheeks and looked at the madame. I bowed at her. She said sorry and pointed at the door to the left.

"Ms. Gao's office is right there. I'm Abigail by the way. I'm sorry for earlier. You're just too cute." She said cheerfully.

I bowed again and thanked her before going to the door, knocking first poking my head inside. Ms. Gao's head looked up and greeted me. She smiled widely and gestured me to come in. Only when I came in I noticed sir Mei sitting on the sofa on the side.

I straightened and bowed at him. "Good morning Sir Mei, Ms. Gao." I greeted both of them.

"Good morning." Both of them said in unison. I smiled confidently and looked at Ms. Gao. "Ms. Gao, Ms. Venice said that you have my work with you so she told me to come see you." I said.

"Ah yes yes. I didn't print it though. You are quite early. Wait a minute. Sir, I'll print Mishe's schedule first." She bowed and got up.

"Sit down for a while." She said and pushed me towards the sofa in the opposite side of Sir Mei.

I sat down and fidgeted as Ms. Gao left. "I didn't expect you to be early. Should I move your time to 9:00 am instead?" Sir Mei asked me. I looked at him and shook my head. "I may be late to wake up sometime Sir. My be it's OK if it's still 9:30?" I stated, well more like questioned.

Sir Mei raised a brow before smiling a little. "OK. If that is what you want." I smiled and thanked Sir Mei. Just a few moments when Ms. Gao entered again.

"Here. I'll let Abigail tour you around and teach you how your work is done." Ms. Gao said.

"Let's continue our talk about the project Ms. Gao. Mr. Yu, you can go and find Abigail." Sir Mei said and I bowed to both of them before going out of the office.

After I got out. I looked at the table I saw earlier and saw the madame aka Abigail. I made my way towards her.

"Uh Hi again ma'am. Ms. Gao said you can tour me around the building." I said politely. She looked up and smiled widely.

"It's you again. Ah yes, I have free time now. You are a lucky cutie." She said and pinched my cheek lightly still with the smile.

This is gonna be a long day.
