Minji POV
I looked at the mirror in my bathroom and I'm a little bit relieved that I look okay today. I did my hygiene in the bathroom after that I blow dry my hair and did my skincare routine.
I applied light makeup and wore my uniform. I fixed my bag and came down to eat breakfast. I went to the kitchen and saw Eomma while she's eating. I walked towards the dining table and put my bag on the chair next to me.
"Goodmorning, my daughter." Eomma said while smiling.
"Goodmorning, Eomma. It's a good thing that I still get to see you this morning." I replied.
"Me too. I promise you, when your dad and I have free time, we'll go out together. Okay?" She assured. She already said that before but it never come true. When I just take it optimistically, maybe soon, it will.
"Yes, Eomma." I answered while smiling big.
"Now, eat hun. You'll be late. I'll go now first." She said as she picked up her purse and keys.
"Take care alright?" She said and started walking while I follow her with my eyes.
"Yah, Minji! Wait, for me!" I looked back to see who's calling me while walking in front of our school. It's Haneul.
"Goodmorning" I greeted as she links her arm to mine.
"Goodmorning! How's the training?" She asked while lightly panting.
"Hard as always. We practiced till 2 am." I answered and sighed.
"You said your trainer will check your group choreography later. Are you nervous?" She asked.
"Of course, I am! I need to do better so I would get great feedback from the CEO next week. He already warned me, remember?" I answered.
"Right. Everything's gonna be alright. Just trust yourself." She assured.
"I hope so." I replied.
We arrived at our room and went to our seats. As soon as I sat, I lied my head on the table and sighed. I'm just really tired and nervous for later.
"Oh, goodmorning Eonnie!" Haneul greeted.
I looked at the door and it's Jimin. Our eyes met, she just smiled at me and I did the same. Ever since that day when we kinda fought. She pretended that it never happened.
In our practices, she still acts the same but she rarely talks to me these days. Maybe she's embarrassed to talk about it, I don't know anymore. I need to focus on myself today.
Our Teacher came and our first period started.
It's already our 4th period. It's ethics. The bell rang and we all got dismissed. Students groaned and stretch their arms, I did the same. I lied my head on my table and close my eyes, hoping to get some sleep.
"Yah, Minji. Let's go buy some snacks." Haneul said while poking my cheeks.
"I want to sleep. You go." I said tiredly.
"But I don't want to go alone." She whined while shaking me but I ignore her.
"If you don't come to me, I'll start doing aegyo for the whole 10 minutes." She said.
"What do you want to eat? Come on, I'm hungry." I suddenly stood up and acted as nothing happened.
"I knew that this will work." She said as she links her arm to mine.
"I just hate aegyo." I complained while we walked outside the classroom.
On our way to the snack bar. Our ethics teacher called us to the teacher's office.
"I need you guys to do something for me. I have an urgent meeting in 5 minutes and I have to give these papers to section 3-3." He said while double-checking the papers. It's so thick, it's like a whole box of papers.
"Sir, whom should we leave these?" I asked her as we took the papers.
He looked at the papers that I'm holding.
"This student. I think he's cleaning today." He answered as he points to the picture of the student. Park Jihoon.
"Okay, Saem." Haneul said and we bowed down as we walk out of the office.
"Which way is their room? It's heavy." I asked Haneul.
"3rd floor. I don't why are we the one who's doing this. He supposedly asks the boys, we're girls." She complained and I agreed with her.
We turned around the corner and I can see the sign "3-3". We slowly approached the door but suddenly, it flew open so quickly. It hit my body and I lost my balance. The next thing I know is that my head hit the wall and fell.
My vision is getting blurry and distorted. I can see Haneul as she shook and slapped my cheeks but I can't understand what she's saying, then everything's went black.
I slowly open my eyes and all I can see is white. I looked around and I'm in a bed. All I can see around me is a white table and sky-blue curtains. I tried to sit up but suddenly, I felt a sting at the back of my head.
I touched my head and noticed that it's wrapped in bondage. What happened to me? I forced myself to get up and wore my shoes. I went out of my ward and saw our school nurse.
"Minji, you're still not okay. Please, get back to your bed." She rushed towards me and helped me walk back to my bed.
"What happened to me?" I asked her as I sat on the edge of the bed.
"You hit your head on the wall accidentally." She answered while standing in front of me. I remember now.
"Wait here okay? You don't need to go to your classes. I already called your mother to pick you up." She said and exited.
"Wait, what?!" I exclaimed. Before I stood up, Haneul came in.
"Thank God you're awake. How are you? I brought your bag." She asked as she shows me my bag on her back.
"I'm fine. What time is it?" I asked as I take my phone out from my coat. I looked at the clock and it's 4:20 pm.
"4:30 pm I guess." She answered.
"Already?! I slept for 3 hours?!" I exclaimed. I skipped my remaining classes.
"I need to go. I have an assessment later." I said as I fix my bag.
"No, Minji. You need to rest. Your Mom is on her wa-" she got interrupted when someone came in.
"Yah, Minji!" Hyunhui, one of our male classmates.
"Hey, why are you here?" I asked him.
"You need to come, now! Your Mom. Jihoon." He answered while panting.
I escaped from the clinic and walked as fast as I can. I turned around the corner and saw many students gathering. I slipped into the crowd then I saw my Mom and I guess he's Park Jihoon.
"Don't you know how important her future is?! If something happens to her, you're done. Do you understand that?!" My mother shouted. Jihoon keeps bowing and saying sorry.
"Eomma!" I called and walked towards her.
"Minji! Are you okay? Is your head hurt?" She asked very quickly as she hugged me, kissed my forehead, and check my head.
Everyone's looking at me and I look at Jihoon. His eyes were about to cry and his face looks terrible. I feel guilty.
"Eomma, Jihoon did nothing wrong. Everything's an accident. Okay?" I said to her.
"What do you mean? Look at you. You have bondage on your head and you look pale. Because of this boy, you can't train." She defended. She was about to say something to Jihoon again and I stopped her.
"Eomma, let's go home. Okay? I need to rest." I said and trying to push her lightly.
I successfully got her out of the building. We went to the parking lot and went home. The whole drive was nothing but blaming Jihoon and threatening him.
