First Kill

I opened the door to the wood shop classroom  without thinking. But when I did a infected boy lunged at me causing me to fall to the ground. I then saw Pollux rush over and pin him to a walk. It struggled attack Pollux, as Pollux had his forearm on it's neck to prevent it from biting him. I then ran into the wood shop garbed a hammer that was left on one of the tables. I then ran over to Pollux and shouted "get out of the way". Pollux then ducked letting go of the infected boy. I then quickly swung the hammer hitting it in the head braking his skull. The body of the boy slowly fell down to the floor leaving a blood splatter on the wall. I looked down to see Pollux now looking at my arm with widened eyes. I then looked at my arm to see blood splattered on my white school uniform. Then Pollux stood up and hugged me "oh my god Kuro are you ok". He then released me from his grasp to look me in the eyes "you did what you had to do, if you haven't had done that I would of probably been bitten". I looked up at him and shook off the thought of me killing someone "let's just grab some weapons to fight off these things". I turned around to look through the tool boxes as I heard Pollux close the door behind me. I then went over to the teachers desk and started going through it. I suddenly smiled as I can upon a machete hidden deep inside the desks cabinet. I then picked it up and looked twords Pollux "looks like the rumors about the woodshop teacher being paranoid is true". Pollux laughed then picked up a hammer "well we should probably get going we have known idea who much long that door can hold up". I tilted me head down then placed my hand on my face "I completely forgot about that". Pollux walked over and put his hand on my head "it's fine if you forgot cus I remembered, and it's not like this is the first time you have ever forgotten something important". We both giggled then Pollux and I then walked over to the door getting ready for the fight that waited us. When Pollux reached for the door handle he paused and looked at me "Kuro I need you to promise me that you wont get bitten". I turned to Pollux looking him in the eyes " Pollux you and I both know that's a promise I can't keep, but I can tell you this I will do everything I can to survive this". He gave a disappointing look " I know Kuro but I just want all of us to be safe, I have no idea how I could live knowing if you, Akane, or Caster became one of them". I then stood on my toes and put my arm around Pollux's shoulders " Pollux the best thing we can do right now is to try not to get infected and hope Caster and Akane are ok". I then remove my arm from his shoulder's and open the door.
