Aradhya’s POV
It has been a month since I started studying in class 5 and I am enjoying my studies. Our new class teacher, Mrs Sasha, is adorable and has already become one of my favourite teachers.
Cabinet members will be chosen today from classes 5th, 8th, and 12th.
Honestly, I have to admit I am incredibly excited, and the class teachers from all three sections will choose four students from each class to be cabinet members.
It's Wednesday, so today we have a yoga class, which can be quite difficult and exhausting.
After the yoga class bell rang, students from all the sections began lining up to go to the hall where the class would be taught.
Our class starts with meditation, so we have everyone sit on the floor and begin meditating. There are always some mischievous students who whisper yell at each other during meditation, others poke classmates, so the hall is never entirely silent during meditation
Often, the teacher will scold a student on mike when they get caught, disrupting the student's focus.
As I somehow began to meditate deeply, when someone lightly tapped my shoulder, and I opened my eyes to find a girl from the senior class gesturing through her hands to come out.
After quickly putting on my shoes, I left the hall.
Across the doorway, I saw the girl who called me out holding a piece of paper. When she saw me, she inquired, "Are you, Aradhya Kashyap?"?”
"Yes, I am," I replied, looking at her, confused.
“Um, Aradhya, you have been appointed as the head girl of the cabinet members from class 5, so please sign here beside your name.”
I looked at the girl as if I were looking at a ghost. My jaw dropped when I heard what she just said. Wait a second! Oh, my holy God, I've been selected as Head Girl! How? Why?
I was so elated in my world that finally, my wish had come true.
When the girl shook my shoulder, I snapped out of my trance.
What happened, Aradhya?" she asked. “I asked you to sign the paper “
“Oh, yes! I am sorry I was so happy that I didn’t hear,” I quickly apologized and took the paper to sign.
In the paper where the girl pointed, I saw my name 'Aradhya Kashyap' with the head girl's designation in brackets. The feeling of happiness was so overwhelming that I couldn't describe it.
I then signed the document. I don’t have a signature. I just write my full name. Then, just as I was about to hand the paper back, something caught my eye. Or I should say someone’s name actually, and it was none other than Ahaan Malik’s. Besides his name, the designation was that of Head boy.
What? Ahaan is the head boy? So Ahaan and I are in charge of the cabinet together? My goodness! I don't know how many shocks I will get today.
Then I handed the paper back to the girl, and I was about to leave
“Ahaan,” the girl said.
I turned back and questioned, “Sorry?”
“I mean, do you know in which section is Ahaan Malik?”
The girl asked me, and I replied.
“Yes, he is in my section.”
“Oh, that’s great. Could you please call him, as I don't know his face? “
“Sure. Just a minute, I told her, and then went into the hall to call Ahaan.
Ahaan was talking to Mrs Sasha about something, so I approached him. As I was about to call his name, he abruptly turned around.
“Yes?” he asked.
It caught me off guard. How did he know I was standing behind him? Does he have an eye in the back of his head, too?
