Episode 5: Unexpected text

Later after her dad left, Wraya went to her bed and started going through her phone. She began to watch a film on Youtube; however, she fell asleep while watching. When she woke up, she noticed that her phone was nearly dying so, she quickly put her phone on the charger. She goes to her morning online class without eating anything as she thought she might be marked late for her class. Moreover, She wasn't late but too early for the lesson, so she had to wait for it to start. However, Her teacher came a bit late from the current time for the class. When her teacher comes for the lesson, she says that “ I am sorry for my lateness but, there was something I needed to deal with so, it took some time to sort it out”. Then Wraya questions, “What was the situation that took so much time for it to deal with?”. Her teacher said, “ We will be cancelling lessons for today as I still need to help the ICT department with the problem because they are some trojan malware from some websites the students went on and which is trying to steal data from the school”. Wraya asked, “ Will a substitute cover this lesson?” Her teacher replied, “No, other teachers weren't available as well because the malware is going out of control with less staff."

Wraya wasn’t happy about her lesson getting cancelled due to that reason. Then her teacher told her to log off from the class. Wraya got a text from Riva “ Wraya, did your online lesson got cancelled? Unfortunately, the school will be closed for a day to deal with the problem". Wraya replies with “ Yeah! It was unexpected as I really wanted to have lessons today and was excited about it before.” Riva and Wraya talked for a long time, while then, Wraya gets a text from someone she didn’t know. The person texted with “Hey”, Wraya wasn’t sure if she should reply to that person as she didn’t know anything about that person. Later after few minutes, Wraya decides to reply with “Hello!” As soon as she sent the text, she got a reply from him saying, “ Are you a girl? If yes, then I need help from you with something.” Wraya couldn’t decide if she should help someone without knowing the details about it. Wraya replied, “ Yeah! Of course, I’m a girl, and yeah, I can help you if it’s something I can with”. Wraya didn’t know anything about him yet, she was willing to help him and become good friends. He then said, “ I need some suggestion for my Lil sister birthday gift”. Wraya had no idea that was coming from him at that time. Moreover, she thought that he was a friend of Riva but when she asked “ Is there a friend of yours here? It’s a boy”. Riva wasn’t also sure about him so, then Wraya sent her his profile. 

“No, I don’t know him,” said Riva.

Afterwards, Wraya gave many suggestions to him, but he already gave his Lil sister that, so Wraya had no other ideas. Later, he said, “ I will get going then; I need to go and play basketball with my friends. Also, tell me when you come with any others ideas”. Wraya responds with, “ Yeah, sure! I will try to think of something". They both say “*B**ye*” to each other and goes offline. Later, Wraya remembers to check on the school website for further information about the incident and its improvements. She sees that the situation was in control and the data of the school was safe and secure. Wraya thought that she will return to school soon and will meet Riva and her other friends.
