Chapter 5

“Will you believe me when I tell you that we aren’t humans?”  

“What do you mean?” I asked. I was left speechless and breathless with what she asked me. Not humans? Aunt

Cana weakly smiled and raised the book in her hands.

“You have read and finished this right?”Aunt Cana asked. I nodded only. She opened the book and flipped through everypage.

“Spirits, Faeries. The 5 Kingdom and the Spirit Realm, including humans in this book who could live for more than thousands of centuries to come, and the 5 pillar gems that kept every kingdom going. And every surreal and unrealistic things you said that fascinates you.”Aunt Cana said as if she knew every single detailed was written in the book.

“Everything written from this book is real Scarlet dear.”And with that my jaw slightly dropped. No it couldn’t be. It’s just fiction. It’s nothing but fiction!

“I know it is hard to believe dear. But you said you wanted the

truth and so this is the truth.” Aunt said to me. I looked at her with disbelief and doubt. It couldn’t be the truth. How is it the truth!? No, it couldn’t. Aunt Cana sighed and called the Butlers and some maids. Now what is she trying to do? Aunt Cana stood up when they arrived and whispered to them. I looked at all of them and they looked at me with sad smile.

“Scarlet, every single one of us in this house, doesn’t belong in

this world.”  With that everyone in the room, my aunt, the butlers and the maids changed….  But the one who really got my attention was my Aunt Cana… I may not know how spirits looks like but I do know

what they wear.

“A—Aunt Cana… you…you’re s-s-spirit?”  I stuttered as I said those words. Aunt Cana smiled and floated towards me. She caressed my cheeks and nodded. I looked back at the butlers and maids.

“F--Faeries?”I ask and they nodded in responds. Oh gosh, I can’t stomach everything! I looked at my

aunt once again. Now I’m questioning if she really is my Aunt. Everything is too much to absorb.

“W—what kind of a Spirit are you Aunt?”   I asked Aunt Cana. She raised her hands and green flowing light appeared from. Is it Mana? As Aunt Cana raised her hands the plants from my window side started to grow and it crawled from my window and crawled towards Aunt Cana’s and it bloomed flowers.

“I’m a Nature Spirit dear. I control plants and the ground below

us. I’m the reason the ground and lands separate and crumble.”She said with a smile in her face. I looked at the maids and butler and gave them a look that means Are—you—seeing—this look. They only chuckled at my expression and nodded.

“So…you are a deadly kind of spirit then aunt?”I asked with a hint of hesitation. It was a good thing that I wasn’t a trouble child while growing up. Aunt giggled.

“Goodness I am not. Your mother is the most deadly spirit not me I just rank 4th from that!”My lips parted when Aunt mentioned mother. “**W—what do you mean about that?”** When she asked that Aunt Cana flinched so did everyone in the room.

“Aunt Cana what do you mean about mom being the most deadly

spirit?” Before answer aunt told the others to leave us alone for a while they nodded and went out. Aunt Cana sat down and held both of my hands.

“Dear, I’ll tell you everything about your mother but first let me

explain what you really are.” She stopped and took a long and deep breath before continuing. “Scarlet, you’re both spirit and fae. But mostly spirit. You don’t have brown hair you have Scarlet red hair

with white silver tips and you do have a father dear. You have spent most of

your childhood days being with your whole family in the world we call home. But

we had to erase everything and glamour your appearance”

My eyes widen and my lips parted. I—I met my father? Wha—what… they erased my memory? No that can’t be true, they didn’t. But if it’s true then why?! Why would they do that?! I was going to ask Aunt about what she told me but then we heard an explosion from outside. I panicked while my Aunt held me tight as the ground moved. One of the butlers rashly opened the doors.

“Mistress, they found us.”The butler said while panting heavily. Aunt Cana’s face was filled with horror and

concern. She looked at me and placed a small kiss in temples before looking at me once again with tears in her eyes.

“I’m sorry dear. But it’s time.” She held my hands and told the butler to distract them with that command the butler nodded and ran back again. Aunt held me tightly and told me to go to my room and get my sword.

“But Aun—“

“Just to as I say! Please dear, we don’t have much time! Meet me

at the attic once you’re done.”  I had no choice and so I nodded and quickly ran towards my room and harshly opened the door. I went inside and ran towards my bed and grabbed my sword. I heard another explosion from outside and my curiosity got the best out of me and I peeked through the window. And there I saw the most hideous monsters I have seen in my life. Bloody hell, what is that!? I saw how everyone fought and tried to distract all of it. I prayed and hoped everyone will be safe before running outside my room and ran towards the attic. I was still the gown I wore and it’s a good thing it was a light gown to run with.

As I reached the Attic I saw Aunt waiting for me, she held me and hugged me tightly once again. I heard her sob.

“Aunt what is going on!? What was that thing downstairs?!”  Aunt let go of me and didn’t responds instead she rip opened the wall in front of us and she held me tight before jumping off the attic. I didn’t even have the time to scream because a soft plant caught my falling body. I got off from it still in a daze about what was happening. I snapped off from my shock when Aunt Cana told me to hurry. We ran towards mother’s garden and we stopped at the golden tree.

“Aunt Cana! Where the hell are we even goi—“ I stopped and my eyes widen when the tree opened a portal. Aunt Cana looked at me.

“I already send a signal to them. You’ll be fine dear.” She said as she held my face. My eyes watered. No… she wouldn’t. She can’t leave me!

“Aunt Cana, you can’t leave me alone! Please! I don’t know where

I’m going!”  I begged her as tears finally streamed down my eyes. She hugged me and said sorry.

“You’re going back home dear. And you’ll be fine there. They can

protect you even more than here. I’m sorry dear” she can’t leave me all alone there! I was about to protest when Aunt Cana planted something in my left arm. She let go and told me that it would keep me safe for the mean time.

“It was an honor and my great joy in raising you Scarlet Estelle”

“Aunt Cana no—“ before I could continue, we heard a scream from the monster and it was getting closer with that Aunt Cana looked at me and mouthed “I’m sorry” before pushing me to the portal.

“No! AUNT CANA!!”

Canaria’s POV

The portal finally closed leaving me all alone with the monster behind me. I wiped my tears before facing the hideous beast in front of me.

“I, Canaria Easter De Prena Arirose the Third sister of the Mother Of All Spirits shall kill you even if it took my own life. I will kill you in command of the Mother herself and to protect the Treasure and pride and joy of the kingdom. Ready yourself you bastard beast!”

Third Person’s POV

As the portal opened the Ruby Kingdom experienced a quick yet rough earthquake sending everyone in the kingdom panic and cautions especially the people in the royal palace. They received Canaria’s signal with

that the king ordered his men and his sons to find the cause of the earthquake.

It was all in a rush as they tried to find the cause. And they finally did.

“Father, near the royal forest a portal was opened.” The second prince of the kingdom told the king. The first born was wary about the events.

“Who did Canaria send this time?” The king mumbled to himself.

At The Royal forest~

The maids were on their way to check if the forest was alright and unharmed by the earthquake when one of them spotted a girl lying down. They panicked and ran towards the unconscious girl lying near the flower beds.

When they saw the girls face and hair they froze in utter shock and disbelief.

“Is that the queen!?”one utter in shock. But one of them recognized the girl.

“No, it’s her. It’s the Princess!”she told them. They all gasped. The one maid tried to hold her and feel her

pulse when a rose from her left arm stopped her and spoke.

“Get the King. Help the princess!”they nodded and hurriedly went back to the castle but one maid was still there

to guard the princess.

Back to the Royal Castle~

All of them were in a middle of a meeting  when the maids intruded and bowed and said.

“Your Royal Highness! The princess is here! The Princess is back

and she’s in the Royal Forest unconscious.” All of them froze and flinched. The King harshly stood up so did the two Princes. The King shouted and commanded to get all the royal guards and healer. The King and Princes warped to the Forest before anyone else.

When they arrived they saw the maid who guarded the princess and ordered her to get the healer and prepare the

princess’s room. She obliged and hurriedly did as she was commanded.

The King and the Princes looked at the lying and unconscious scarlet red haired girl in the flower bed. They knew then and there that it was definitely her. The King bent down and held her daughter gently before hugging her.

“My Princess is finally home”
