6×6 Mindfulness: Love people, use things

"I actually was inspired and hit hard when I heard this quote, "Love people, use things. The opposite never works." It was by The Minimalists, they are a group two friends who make podcasts, write books, etc. I was hit hard and felt that because I could relate to those sentences. Cause, I used to use people and love things. I loved my Xbox set so much that I forgot that I had used my parents for buying it. Well, I think that it's not like the other way round, that is, love things and use people, doesn't work. It does work, but the outcome is sadness and failure. After I relayed that with myself, I could relate it with other people around me too. For example, my mom. She scolded me once cause I somehow destroyed the iron box machine. While getting scolded, I said her to love me not the Iron box. She replied that she loves me but she is scolding me so that I understand the importance of the machine. Um.. well, yeah that may be right too. Anyway, I can assure you that half the population use people and love things rather than what's the right way. Yeah, just try doing it the right way and see how your life changes."
