"A DEAL"

“We have to make sure that Amore will be your wife this time. You must win her heart at all cost” –grandpa

“It is so early for that business. Let’s talk about it in the future” – Holland

“NO! You have to right now!”- grandpa

“Grandpa. Let me finish my study first. I don’t have time for that. Beside my father let me learn from you to run this company in the future”- Holland

“You are so confident saying that Holland” – Mike

Amore was eavesdropping in the door. She peep the ajar door because of hearing familiar voices. The boy from the elevator she saw that day and the old man she save few months ago. Holland replied to the guy who appear in the conversation.

“Why are you here?” – Holland

“Why? Am I not welcome here? I am a part of family also and I am the real grandson here” – Mike.

Amore is shock. She cover her mouth of disbelief. The situation seem confusing for her. She walk slowly outward.

“You just don’t have big mouth but you also have the power of hearing someone’s business huh?”

Holland suddenly appear at her back soundless.

“Well I’m just passing by. I didn’t mean to hear it”

Holland seems upset and leave her without replying. So Amore punctually follow Holland to apologize.

“I’m sorry okay? I really didn’t mean it”

“Bro? As in brother?” (Amore’s question to Holland cold face)

In the other side of the story, the CEO called Amore at his office. The moment Amore enter the office.

“You old man, you don’t even say thank you or goodbye that day”

“That’s the reason why I called you. My grandson is having a conflict with his brother. I think you already know it?”

“Ah yeah. Why? I don’t care they have a conflict it has nothing to do with me.”

“I think you are the most suitable for him”

“ME? That’s a lame idea. Just so you know were not that close. He hate me, I. was just being mischievous in front of him because I like seeing him being teased”

“You don’t   know his story. I know he treat differently among other girls who throw themselves to Holland”

“I’m not interested in him, but (he grin in her lips was form)”

“But what?”

“I think he’s a gay”

“You got it wrong. He was cheerful boy in the past but when her mother died and her father married again he become like ice and you can feel the chill every time he is approaching.”

“Just so you know I don’t have any idea why are telling me this?”

“Because he is currently facing the same problem all over again”

“I don’t think he is okay, except his weird personality. In our school he hate girls liking him. He never talks to anyone”

“I know that’s why I called you here to talk about your engagement to him. During your foundation day I noticed something was not right and he seems restless after he got back that time. So I ask someone to investigate what happen.”

“But we are so young about this kind of case. My goal is to make my parent proud even if they are no longer with me. I want to graduate first in college. And I think you should het his opinion first before you take action against his will.”

“That guy is so stubborn, if he cannot find a girl to engage with then Mike might be the only one who can sign to be the only heir of this company. You must make him fall for you. Three month to go Amore. Don’t worry about your expenses. All you have to do is to bring back the old Holland”

“What is if I can’t? What should we do? I didn’t quite believe that mike. He is like a sinister”

“What should I do? Holland seems to be hostile to me now after that eavesdropping scene. I have to make a move first. Fortunately it is not a bad deal for me but a win deal. Gosh rich people didn’t even think

But I don’tknow what happen to me, after the incident of my parents I make myself isolated. I want others to bother me. I stop talking and do things in my own.”

“Never thought that this crazy girl could have such sad childhood like me, maybe I was just too emotional”

“Why are you telling me this?”

“Because I’m curious what if someone has the same faith as me? After all this year, Leo is the person who understand me and make me feel comfortable when I have trouble talking to others. I realized how sad it is to be alone, how

suffocating it is when someone told you, “you’re weird, why not commit suicide. You’re a loner. You know what I was a crying baby back then but Leo told me not to, because there guts to bully me will go out of control.”

“I used to hear that too. But I don’t care at all”

“You know it is okay to cry it out for once. I used to hide my resentment and anger for those who bullied me to death. I cried it loud once I all alone in the dark cold room I’m bracing my knee because no one wants me.”

The pity face of Holland shows how sad and worried he is. He cannot refrain himself anymore and hugs Amore tightly. The tears in his eyes suddenly flow in his face because of the same feeling. He thought that he is the only one who experienced those bad and sad memory.

“What’s with the hug? I thought you were cold and hard as rock. I’m happy that you cried it out. I’m telling you, now that I’m going to engage with you, you can share those burden in your heart to me from now on. Okay?”

“Wow! I didn’t understand girls anymore, a while ago you were like a dog pleading…”
