episode 2: the other side

Damien slowly opened his eyes, everything was a bit blurry for a while but things began to clear up, but as things began to clear up, that's when Damien began to get more and more confused. He was no longer on his roof in new York, heck he wasn't even sure if he was in new York anymore. he slowly tried to get up but felt a little restraint holding him back, he was tied to the humongous tree with glowing yellow leaves, cone to think of it, every single grass around them was glowing yellow. The whole area was a giant grassland for miles and miles, it seemed like it was never ending. the only different land mark there was a stream that flowed calmly towards north. " you're up " said a voice beside Damien. Damien looked at the person speaking but couldn't even recognize her, although she looked a lot like Sasha but definitely older. " uhm...who are you " Damien asked " and why am I tied to this tree" . " its me Damien " said the young lady speaking. " sh...Sasha?" Damien asked confused " why are you older all of a sudden, how long was I asleep " Damien asked. " I'm older, look in the mirror genius, you look older than me" said Sasha " if you think we look weird, wait till you see the person coming right at you" said Sasha. immediately a giant werewolf like figure leapt from behind Sasha and drooled all over Damien. Damien nearly fainted out of fear for his life. the monster sniffed all over him and opened his teeth to take a bite out of Damien's neck but paused right before his teeth made contact. " gotchya didn't I" said the beast as he fekk on his back bursting with laughter. " wha...what's going on...what is this " asked Damien who was now even more confused. just then the beast jumped back on his feet. " Take a good look at me and tell me who you think I am" asked the beast. Damien squinted his eyes for a second before widening them out of shock. " Monroe?" asked damien. " bingo" replied the beast who appeared to be Monroe, Damien's let dog. " how did you get so..." damien didn't finish his sentence before Sasha interrupted. " you're never gonna believe this" said Sasha " we're in the spirit realm". " aww, Sasha, whydya have to always ruin everything, I wanted to tell him" said Monroe. " sorry " said Sasha. " woah " said damien. " I know right " said Sasha. " now this is what you call a lucid dream, wish juice wrld could see this " said damien excitedly. " this isn't a dream " said Monroe as he walked towards damien. " right, we're in the spirit realm right....please tell me, why is Sasha taking this so lightly " asked damien. just then Monroe showed damien a scar on his hand. " believe it or not, you're taking this better than she did when she woke up, whydya think I tied you up" said Monroe. " Wow, I still haven't woken up yet...this dream is pretty long isn't it. just then Sasha came up to damien and slapped him hard on the cheek. " hey, what gives" asked damien a little annoyed. " if it's a dream, then wake up already" said Sasha. damien immediately widened his eyes out of shock as he realized that it wasn't a dream bit reality. Monroe cut off his roles and he fell to his knees confused. " but how, how did we get here" asked damien. " believe it or not kid, you brought us here" said Monroe as he helped damien up. " but how" asks Damien. " cuz you are from here from your mother's side, you are a reaper damien" said Monroe. damien immediately froze in shock.

"Long ago, when you were just born, a group of reapers came together under the command of your mother to wage a war against the other reapers. these group of reapers called themselves the angels. your mother knew what she was going up against and doubted that she would ever return so she hired me to be your personal spirit guide and keep you away from the spirit world at all times. That was the last day I ever saw your mother, heck I don't even know if she's alive" narrated Monroe as he kept a long face. " but why would his mother do such a thing" asked Sasha as she felt the sadness in the atmosphere. " I don't really know the purpose of the war, but I know your mothers main objective was to kill the king of all reapers and the one who I suspect to be responsible for your moms absence....Grimm" said Monroe. immediately Damien heard that name he began to have a headache and collapsed on the floor. while Monroe and Sasha rushed to his aid he saw a flash of images, he saw a skeleton faced shadowy figure with two shadowy figure with red eyes laughing behind him, the figure reeked of death and raised a scythe and slashed damien right before he woke up. " what happened to you" asked a worried Sasha. " Damien just kept on panting and kept what he saw to himself " oh...it was just a headache, I'll be fine, I'm just processing all this" said Damien, he felt like their worries was enough as it is. "this is all cool and all, but that doesn't explain our looks" said damien. " oh, this is called a spirit form,your physical form is just the shell of your spirit, this is how your spirit or aura looks like" explained Monroe. " I assumed Sasha knew that too huh" said damien. " well she was very intimidation when she woke up " said Monroe as he held his hand to feel his new scar. " wait a sec, where's my guitar " asked damien. just then a blue light began to illuminate Damien's hand. " remember what I said about spirit forms, that doesn't only work for living things" said Monroe as the light began to clear revealing a glowing blue sword. " damien, just like his the Grimm has a scythe, you have a sword" said Monroe as damien admired his sword. " uhm, not meaning to interrupt or anything but, how exactly do we go back" asked Sasha. a smirk immediately formed on Monroe's face, " I haven't the slightest clue" said Monroe who now bows his head in shame. " really, them what was the smirk for" asked Sasha. " well, there is a way we can get back, but if that's the only way then we might as well call the spirit realm our new home" said Monroe. " what way" asked damien who was still processing everything. " your mother stole the gateway crystals from Grimm on her last battle, if we could find them then we could teleport out of here, but the only way we could do that is if we could -" Monroe didn't finish before damien interrupted. " find my mother" said damien " that is what you wanted to say right, finally I can get answers" said damien who now looked like he had finally processed everything. " we don't even know if she's still alive " asks Monroe. " yeah damien, how do you expect us to find" Sasha was rudely interrupted by damien. " we don't know if she's dead either, she had to have been strong to pick a fight with him, she might even need our help right now " said damien with a serious face as he rested his sword on his shoulders. this was a more serious Damien, it was obviously not just in looks alone that he was older." *gasp*, if you're one hundred percent sure you're up for this then follow me" Monroe said as he led both Sasha and Damien to the lake and dived inside and was nowhere to be seen. Sasha and Damien were a little confused as to what had just happened. " well are you coming " asked Monroe who had surfaced the water to stare get both damien and Sasha who looked as shocked as ever. " c'mon its the spirit realm, you don't really expect anything to make sense do you" asked Monroe as he dived back into the water. damien and Sasha glanced at each other before Sasha took a leap of faith and jumped right into the water completely disappearing. " it's for you mom" whispered damien as he took a deep breath and jumped right into the water with Sasha and Monroe.
