I'm jake. I didn't have luck to complete my graduation and study like normally all other students do. I quit my college in the mid of the semester and started to go work at restaurants or any other cafeteria.

All Because of my father who went bankrupt after gambling and even sold our own house. Now staying at an rented apartment and My mom started to go for labour work for the sake of household expenses. but my father always Came Home as drunken and create nuisance.

One day my father wanted me work under an drug dealer for the sake of more money but, my mom refused it and I feel sad for her. Whenever she tried to protect me from my father. He would beat her to death but my mom still loves my father.

Suddenly, One day my mom took a promise from me to never leave my father at any cost and should take care of him in the future. I didn't understand why she took a promise like that. Later at night , as usually my dad came home

as fully drunken and started to scold me for no reason and when my mom came to stop it he pushed her away and then she fainted

I took my mom to the hospital. Later, I came to know that she had cancer and going to die in a less than month . After discharging from hospital and we arrived home and I wanted to pretend like I didn't knew about her illness.

...***h*onestly, It was an rough month for me to pay for hospital bills. I worked over time. But, for the sake of my mom. It was nothing for me **...

I told my mom not to go for any work from today and said I'll take care of household expenses from today . She Hardly Accepted it. All I wished is to give an comfortable life in the last days of her life. But Fate Is not at my side

After a week, she died infront of my eyes. But my father didn't even came for her funeral and busy in drinking all day in house . He has no regrets for losing his wife. I started to hate him even more after that incident.

Later, I couldn't able to hold back of his behaviour as well as he became more worst. so, I decided to ran away from house with some money I saved as working overtime and left him to suffer for what he did to our family.

...** Alone in the dark streets with no presence of living **...

I was happy then because I no longer have to work for him like a slave or get beaten by him or fed him but , only one thing regretted me that is, I couldn't able to keep my promise for my mom.
