“Here” he said while handing me a bottle of water

“T-thanks” I shyly said and took the bottle

We both decided to take a sit in one of the benches in the park, so that I can rest after that long run with Seungcheol's dog.

“Wow! I didn’t know that you also like going outside. Based on Mingyu, you don’t like going outside and prefer to be inside your house” he said

Instead of answering him, I decided to remain silent and just stare at the water bottle he gave me.

“By the way what are you doing here? Are you here to play around or are you here for sightseeing?”

I still didn’t answer and just remain silent

He took a deep breath and went to his puppy to talk to it

“S.coups, how could you just run away from me earlier, huh? Don’t you know that I’ve been worried about you, and when I finally saw you, you are playing chase with your new friend” he said

“You’re lucky to meet a beautiful friend. Maybe your new friend will talk to you everything you wanted to hear from her, and you can share things like friends should do”

(Aigoo… this guy is really something. He is talking to his dog but he is really referring to me. Should I just talk to him? There is nothing to lose if I talk to him)

“Excuse me…” I shyly said

Seungcheol turn around and look at me

“Y-your puppy? What is his name?” I ask

“S.coups” he casually answer

“S.coups?” I ask with a confuse look on my face

“Ne, s stand for my name Seungcheol & Coups means big success. Actually I just wanted my dog have a cool name, isn’t it cool?”

Hearing his reason I couldn’t help myself but to laugh a little

“Oh! You laugh!” he said with an amazement on his face “Hmm… you think that my reason is weird, right?”

“A-aniyo, I didn’t think about it” I said

“Then why did you laugh?” he said and he sits beside me again

“That’s because I think it is too cool for a dog name” I said

“Now that you mention it, I think S.coups is not suited for a dog name” he said and laugh “By the way what are you doing here anyway?”

“I am just doing something” I said

“What something?” he ask

“It’s my little secret” I said “How about you what are you doing here?”

“I came here with S.coups, but I really came here to meet the boys, but something happen so it got cancelled”

I just nod signing that I understand

“By the way I notice that except from Mingyu and Hyo Jung, you don’t usually talk to anybody in our room” he ask

“That’s because I don’t like talking to other people, I mean I don’t know how to approach other people. Both Mingyu and Hyo Jung approach me first when we are young, and actually it took them a couple of weeks before I called them friends” I said

“Really?”

“Ne, I really don’t know how to socialize, but if you ask me something related to school, I will answer you. But that’s it, nothing more”

“So that’s why you don’t usually answer me… But even though, you are still my friend”

“Friend? Me?” I ask

“Ne, since you are the first person I met in my new school. Even though that time I still don’t know that you will be my classmate” he said while smiling warmly

I just look at him straight to his eyes. I don’t know what is happening but all I know is that I can feel something inside of me.

I still don’t know what is it, but maybe it is something that lead to a new life.

I stood up and started to walk a little. Then I turn around and face Seungcheol

“If you really treat me as your friend, then I will be your friend too. But you have to wait a little bit, ok?”

He look straight at me, and then smiled and said “Ne”
