Annual competition

Lucas left the cave with a grin on his cave, he had achieved alot on this little adventure he took.

And the best part being, he wasn't attacked in any way.

When he came out of the cave, he realized that it was already night,

' how long was I in there?' Lucas thought to himself as he started making his way back home.

After running for more than an hour, he finally got out of the forest and he didn't take up to ten minutes to get home.

He opened the door of his parents little courtyard and made his way to his room.

He normally spent all day cultivating in his room so his parents didn't even bother to check up on him anymore.

It was a cold night, and Lucas was in his room cultivating, six months had passed since his little adventure, and Lucas was getting ready for the annual class fight which was the next day.

He continued cultivating, gathering the world's Mana and adding to his Mana core, after some few minutes, his Mana core finally expanded. He had finally broken through into the fifth order of the white core.

During this six months, Lucas didn't do anything important, he spent it with cultivating and going to the academy, and now he had finally broken through to fifth order.

during this six months of cultivation, not one fruit was taken from the cycad tree he found, his plan was to save up all the cycad fruits that grew and dropped form the cycad tree for three years, after this three years, when he wins the third year competition and was sent to represent his village in the imperial city competition, only then would he use the cycad fruits, but not for his cultivation.

Excited about breaking through to fifth order, he quickly left his parents courtyard and went to the hill side he usually practiced.

When he got there, he quickly summoned his first Mana spirit death slasher, and immediately memories of the swords second battle skill rushed into his mind.

When the memories ended, he held the once floating sword in his palms and in not less than a second, six swords made of black Mana appeared out of nowhere and began hovering behind him.

The first one was sent to a nearby tree and when it came in contact with the tree it left a fist sized hole on the tree.

The second one was sent to another tree but this time, instead of making a hole in the tree, it sliced the tree, immediately cutting it in half.

This was Lucas's second battle skill,

"REIGN OF DEATH", when he activated this skill, six swords were immediately summoned and he could control them at will.

Satisfied with the results of the first two swords, he didn't bother to command the remaining four swords and disactivated the battle skill.

Moving on, he then summoned his other Mana spirit and he was immediately summoned to the white dimension, this time he saw five corpse laying in the white dimension.

He walked a little bit and when he was within arms length from them, he shouted "arise" and their eyes immediately snapped open.

Once again, the strong force pushed him out of the white dimension and when he arrived back at the hill, memories began flowing into his mind.

Although surprised that he actually got another skill from the ghost, he was very happy about the skill he got.

He turned to a rock, stretched out his hands and the little rock which was some meters away from him started moving towards his direction and in the blink of an eye, the rock was already in his palms.

This was the skill he got from the black ghost, "DOMINATOR", not bothering to summon his servants which he just awakened, he rushed home with a wide grin on his face.

His plan was coming together just like he planned, when he wins the class competition the following day, he would register for a change of year and if he passes the test, he would finally be in one of the second year classes of light academy, making him one step closer from his goal.

It was finally the end of the year which means the annual competition between the first year classes, second year classes and third year classes was finally here.

In the academy's square, three stages were setup, these three stages were for the three classes of the first and second year.

The two strongest of the three class would be nominated by the teacher's of their classes and they would battle to see who was the strongest in their class, the winner of the three classes would then battle to see who was the strongest in the overall first year classes.

The competition soon started and Rick the class teacher of first year class two called out the two strongest in his class.

The first person to be called out was Elijah.

After the fight between Lucas and Elijah, Elijah's dad was enraged when he found out that his son was beating to the point of him losing conciousness, and what made it worse was that he was beaten by someone who had a grade eight Mana spirit and they were both in the same order, Elijah's dad couldn't take it, although he wouldn't interfere in their fight, he was able to help his son by giving him their families most priced possession, a vouge fruit.

unlike a cycad fruit and most spirit pellets which increases a person's Mana intake, a vouge fruit directly increases the person's cultivation.

After Elijah was called out, he graciously walked up to the stage with an arrogant look on his face.

the next person to be called out was Lucas.

This was an obvious choice because Lucas had the second highest Mana spirit in class two and he had once fought with Elijah and won.

Lucas walked up to the stage also an d soon the battle began.

Elijah released his aura and to everyone's surprise he was already at early fourth order.

Everyone already wore a sad look on their faces, since Elijah was now at fourth order, they felt like Lucas had no chance against him, after all Lucas had only a grade eight Mana spirit and he just couldn't compare to Elijah's speed of cultivation. Even if he took a spirit pellet his cultivation would still end up at peak late third order and he would need another three months to breakthrough to fourth order.

Elijah released his aura inorder to lower Lucas's self esteem, so he could crush Lucas without any resistance.

This time Lucas was the first to attack , he planned on ending this fight quickly, in this fight he was going to use the strength of a peak late fourth order, he no longer cared about what everyone thinks, and if he gets trouble from Elijah's dad, he was sure his six tenth order servants could handle him, although he hadn't confirmed what order his five new servants were, he was sure they were at least tenth order like his first servant "Nick", with the help of his six servants, he was probably currently the strongest person in their entire village.

Lucas called out his Mana spirit, and with a speed Elijah couldn't follow, he launched at Elijah.

In the blink of an eye, Lucas was already within arms length of Elijah, he activated his battle skill, " death slash" and sent a strike towards Elijah.

Although Elijah didn't know when Lucas suddenly appeared before him, he was able to block the slash by making a hexagonal shaped shield with his black spikes.

Compared to Lucas who could only send his slashes in one particular direction, Elijah on the other hand had more control of his spikes. due to the difference in their Mana spirit grade, when Lucas increases in cultivation, his battle skill only becomes stronger, but Elijah's battle skill doesn't just becomes stronger, he also gains more control of his battle skill.

Lucas leaped back after seeing the shield that was just made, if Elijah actually had full control of each and everyone of his spikes, then he wouldn't be easy to deal with.

In less than a second, a spike was already in front of Lucas , almost piercing his fore head but Lucas disappeared and reappeared a few more meters away from Elijah.

In Elijah's eye's, he thought Lucas disappeared but in reality, Lucas only moved so fast that Elijah couldn't even keep up with him.

More spikes were sent towards Lucas but Lucas seemed to dodge every single one of them. The fact that Lucas could dodge every single one of his spikes seemed to enrage Elijah.

"STOP DODGING THEM!!!!!" Elijah shouted and the number of spikes being sent at Lucas increased, from a dozen spikes to up to thirty at a time, but in Elijah's eye's , Lucas only seemed to move faster, dodging each and everyone of them, but a fact he didn't seem to notice was the fact that Lucas didn't just aimlessly dodge all his attacks but while he dodged them he also closed the gap which was between him and Lucas.

only when Lucas was within an arms Length from him did he realized this fact, he quickly sent out as much spike he could muster up in an attempt to keep the distance between them but his attack failed when Lucas leaped up, and with a swift move of his wrist a black slash was sent towards Elijah's chest.

everything suddenly slowed down in Elijah's view, he looked up to see who sent the slash that was probably going to kill him and when he saw the cold stare this person held in his eyes, for the first time in his life, he actually felt fear towards this person, he closed his eyes and a tear drop rolled down his cheeks and as he awaited his death.

but when the slash was about to get in contact with his chest, he felt a strong force push him, when he opened his eyes to see what happened, he met his master, the academy principal in his former spot, but the principal wasn't hurt by Lucas's attack in anyway, Lucas's attack couldn't even penetrate his Mana skin.

Mana skin is a type of skin which is formed by a layer of Mana that is coated around the body, Mana skin can only be achieved when one reaches the tenth order of the white core, it serves as a type of defensive measure, the best part being it does not need to be activated. when Mana skin is formed, any attack under ninth order wouldn't be able to penetrate this skin, making a person who is at tenth order practically invincible to those who are below eight order.

time seemed to stop in everyone's eyes as they saw the principal in the spot where Elijah once was, nobody dared utter a word partly because everyone were too shocked to speak and also because whenever someone who was in tenth order showed their presence, everyone in that surrounding area felt a domineering pressure on them, like they shouldn't talk if they weren't directly talked to.

Lucas had already landed and just like the rest, he didn't utter a word, but not because he felt this pressure, but because he had nothing to say.

"Lucas Gold!" the principal stated with a firm tone and after a quite pause he continued " you are here by expelled from light academy for attempted murder".............
