"mum, I'm want a change of school" Bai luoheng said during dinner.

Bai huizhen frowned and looked up at her but didn't say a word.

"but, why suddenly, what happened?" Mrs Bai asked

"no, nothing happened. I want to become a military doctor, that's why."

"military! what even brought that thought to your mind in the first place?"

"mum, just tell me frankly, will I be allowed to go or not?"

"alright, alright. you're free to go but is the window for registration still open?"

"yes mum, it is"

"by the way, what's the name of the school?"

"SMMU"

"hmm... I've not heard of that school before. huizhen have you?"

no answer

"huizhen" Mrs Bai said waving her hands over huizhen's face.

"oh, mum what happened?" huizhen asked after snapping out of her thoughts

"sister huizhen, a penny for your thoughts."

"oh, it was nothing. maybe I fell asleep for some minutes" Bai huizhen said and gave them a very brief smile.

"so, as I was saying huizhen, do you know any school named SMMU?"

"I don't really.... but I think I've heard it before. it sounds familiar though."

"ah! you should check google. maybe it will give us what we need" Mrs Bai said to huizhen.

Bai huizhen quickly carried her mobile phone and began to search. finding what she was searching for, huizhen suddenly gasped. it was more exaggerated and fake than true.

"what is the matter?" Yinan asked Bai huizhen

"umm... it's nothing, just the fees... they are so expensive."

Yinan frowned. "give me the phone. let me take a look at it"

"luoluo, are you really sure of this? remember that we are just a medium family. we are not as wealthy as the type of people who take their kids to this kind of school" Yinan said after reading the details on the mobile phone.

"people in this century are really starting to get me annoyed" luoheng thought. "don't worry about the fees mum, I just need your permission. that's all" she managed

"well, whatever" Yinan said and walked towards her bedroom

"mum, you didn't finish up your meal" huizhen said with a voice that was higher than usual.

"don't worry, I'm full" Yinan answered and they both heard the door open and close.

"umm... sister Luoheng, have you forgiven me?"

"for what?"

"the incident that happened the other day"

"oh, I've long forgotten about it" luoheng lied "don't worry too much" she smiled

"thank you sister, you're the best!"

"sister, I also wanted to ask, on what day will you set on your journey?"

by now, huizhen was kneeling against the knee of her sister, luoheng

"why do you wanna know that?"

"I want to help you prepare and cover up for my mistake"

"mei mei, don't worry, you've already been forgiven" luoheng said, affectionately touching huizhen's soft cheeks just like a child's.

"since when she's really sorry, maybe she's up to nothing after all. but no one in this world can be trusted. even if I tell her, she won't be able to do anything though." luoheng thought and sighed.

"I may go there tomorrow."

"oh. well then, I wish you good luck in advance" huizhen smiled. "but don't students write their entrance exams first? or have you written them already?"

"don't worry, I've not but you'll understand sooner or later"

"I pray it'll be rather sooner than later"

"umm... you should better stand up mei mei, if not, your knee will get a bruise"

"oh!, it's nothing" huizhen said and stood up, using her hands to dust her dress and knee.

the floor wasn't even dirty.

"you should hurry up with your food before it gets cold. I'm already done with mine." luoheng said and stood up, carrying her plates and her mum's plates.

"oh, you don't need to carry that" huizhen said making an attempt to stand up

"don't worry, just sit and enjoy your meal" luoheng said and went to the kitchen to take care of the plates. after which she went into her room and sat on the bed.

"princess, I think that girl looks kinda fishy" Feibai said to luoheng. "but I can't just lay my finger on it"

"hmm, I think I may have an idea of what she's trying to do, but I'm not sure"

"yes, I'm all ears"
