Chapter 2: Only weak girls cry

Yan Mei looked at the man she met at the entrance and smirk. She knows

he has been looking for her since she heard him asking people if they had seen

a sexy woman wearing a suit, and that woman was her since she is the only

weird person to wear a suit in a club.

She watched in amusement as he approached her just as he was about to

reach her, a petite blonde appeared in front of him.

Lei Zhao frowned when he looked at the person blocking his view.

"Hy handsome, you wanna buy me a drink?" The woman said as she

batted her eyelashes, pushing her ****** to his side.

"No." Lei Zhao replied.

The woman laughed.

"So cold, I like that". Her tongue snaked out to touch the top of her lips.

Lei Zhao winced, he was starting to lose his temper. He doesn't know why

these women try so hard.

They wear these tight dresses that they can barely breathe in. He

appreciates the magic effect of makeup but using too much of it that makes you

look like a clown at the end of the day bores him.

"Hey babe, where have you been?"

Lei Zhao widened his eyes in surprise when he saw Yan Mei who had

wrapped her hands on his shoulder.

She smiled at the stupid look Lei Zhao was going her and turned to look at

the woman.

"Well, is there something my man can help you with miss?"

Yan Mei asked coldly as she scrutinized the lady in front of her. Seeing the

cold demeanor of Yan Mei, the lady snorted as she glared at Yan Mei and left

the place.

"Stop looking at me like that, stupid". Yan Mei said playfully as she turned

to look at Lei Zhao.

"You can't blame me, right? It's not every day that I meet such a charming

lady like you." Lei Zhao said as he winked at her

"If you're done with being an ***, you can buy me a drink after all I just

saved you from whoever that was".

Yan Mei said distastefully.

"it will be a pleasure love." Henry Liu looked at his friend who was flirting

with a girl and opened his mouth. He was shocked because ever since his

brother died and his girlfriend left him, Lei Zhao is the coldest and the most

indifferent person he has ever met. Nothing excites him and all he feels is hatred

towards the world.

So who is this person who is shamelessly flirting with a girl?

Lei Zhao looked at the woman who was busily drinking and sighed

"That's enough, you have already drunk enough". Lei Zhao said as he tried

to take the glass from her hands.

Yan Mei pushed his hands away as she gulped down her drink.

"You're supposed to accompany me to drink not to stop me."

An awkward silence fell between them. Lei Zhao said nothing as he stared

at the petite woman sitting beside him. He knew she was hurting because he

once had that look in his eyes.

Lei Zhao raised his hands to clean the tears that have started falling from

her eyes.

You..I 'm not crying. Something fell into my eyes." Yan Mei said as she

turned to look at Lei Zhao.

"Only weak girls cry and l'm not weak. I'm a beautiful, successful and

happy woman."

Yan Mei burst out into laughter after she said this. She poured more wine in

her glass as she raised it towards Lei Zhao.

"A toast to...hmmm being strong." Without waiting for his response she

drunk her wine in one gulp.

The bodyguards in the Yan family compound was profusely sweating even

though the weather was cold tonight. Their young miss hasn't come home yet

and now the young master was furious.

"I'm giving you five minutes you better find her or don't, come back. And

oh, you better make sure that not even a strand of her hair is hurt."

Yan Li said calmly as he glared at the bodyguards.

The leader of the bodyguards shivered when he saw how calm Yan Li was.

The calmer he is, the more dangerous he is at the moment.

"Yes, young master." Yan Li waved his hands to disperse them to search for

his little sister. He sighed tirelessly.

Even though his little sister is very cold and is super distant from him, hee

doesn't hate or blame her. After all, she has been through a lot and he hates

himself everyday for not finding her earlier.

Maybe if they had found her early and in a different situation maybe they

might have established a sibling bond.

But he still hopes that one day she will call him brother and that day will

become soon. He hopes so.

He didn't go with the bodyguards to search for her, because the Oldman

was sleeping and he wanted to be around in case he starts getting his

nightmares again.

In the club,

Lei Zhao looked at the woman who was completely drunk and sighed. He

didn't even get to ask her name or where she stays.

He guesses she will be staying with him tonight. He called his friend to look

after her as he went outside to call his driver. Just as he was about to enter he

saw some men in black blocking the entrance. He frowned, aren't these people

from the Yan family? What are they doing here?

Because Lei Zhao didn't want anybody to know he is in town he had to

hide before they leave. If he knew hiding will let him search for weeks before

meeting the mystery girl he would've never hidden.
