Actually, the new scholar has left the pavilion a day before and did not return back yet. He only left a note for the magistrate's son.

" I am sorry Mr but is for the son of the magistrate. I can't give it to someone else." (miss)

"I am a servant from the magistrate's house, my master sent me here to buy books from the scholar. Can I see it now?" (Song Jia)

He gets out a servant tablet and shows it to the young lady.

After taking the letter, he goes out and opens it.
