*Chartuex POV

After eating, I quickly went back to my room. I wanted to cry but my eyes just couldn't

"I dwnt want her tw die"

(I don't want her to die)

I stared down to the window wondering what will happen after sunset.

"What tw do?"

(What to do?)

I lay down on the floor while thinking of an idea on how to save my mother. But it didn't help, in fact it only made me sleepy. So I took a nap

* 5:50pm *

I heard a person humming next to me while gently rubbing my hair. It was mom, I smiled at her and she responded with a smile also

"What arw you dowing here mama?"

(What are you doing here mama?)

"Is it bad visiting my daughter?"

*Giggles*

"I'm pretty sure you'll grow up kind-hearted and beautiful"

I nodded

'Is she saying that because she'll die tonight?'

I reached out her cheeks and pinch it

"It hurts you know"

"Ywo always dw that tw me"

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...Char..."

"Why awe you apwologizng too mwch?"

(Why are you apologizing too much?)

She didn't respond but I can tell she's apologizing because she will leave me...

'Cruel'

*5:55pm*

She stand up and look at the window. It almost feels like she's been waiting for her death all this time, and it made me upset.

"Mama, where's Nanny?"

"She'll be back soon Chartuex"

"But thw sunset ws almost ower"

(But the sunset is almost over)

"Trust me darling"

"Okway"

(Okay)

"It's almost time"

"Huh?"

She said something but I didn't hear it

"It was nothing. I have something to do Chartuex, so you stay here okay?"

"Okway"

(Okay)

'It's already dark, I bet the assassin's already here'

2 maids enter my room. They told me to hide because we're under attack. They're pale and was trembling.

I hide in the closet while the two of them guarded me. I feel guilty, they will probably all die because of me...Including mom

* 6:00pm *

The tragedy began

I can hear the other maids screaming for help while the assassins take their life away. It didn't take long before the maids outside the closet where I was hiding started begging for their lives. I was too scared to move nor breathe.

'I'm scared'

The screaming only lasted for 30 minutes. So I assumed that the assassins already left. I opened the closet's door.

I saw the maids corpses. I was terrified of course, It was my first time seeing an actual corpse.

"I'm gwetting out of here"

(I'm getting out of here)

I went outside the room, but before i leave this place, I wanna see mom's corpse first

I slowly opened my mother's bedroom door. I saw her in the lying in her tea table

'She looks exactly like sleeping beauty. The only difference between them is that mom won't wake up, even if a Prince come and kiss her'

I walk straight and sat next to her

"I'll jst die perhaps?"

(I'll just die perhaps*?)
