Gotcha!
Hazel
Here's your pizza! Enjoy.
My shift is finally over, but my neck hurts so bad.
*Rotates head side ways to get some relief*
Kelsey
You should take a few more days off.
Kelsey
*Hands over my hoodie, with a concerned look*
Hazel
It's fine. I'll be bored at home anyway.
Kelsey
Don't be too hard on yourself Hazel. I know it's really hard for you.
Hazel
It's hard indeed. I'm not gonna lie. But, being busy really helps.
Kelsey
Why don't you come over to my place for a few days? I really don't want you to stay alone at your home.
Hazel
I really want to be alone for a while. I'll definitely come over after this phase.
Kelsey
You're making me worried.
Hazel
Don't worry. It's not like I'm alone all the time. I go to college in the morning, then study for a really short time and then off to work. It's almost midnight by the time I get back home everyday.
Kelsey
Alright. Alright. I won't force you. But please take care.
Kelsey
*Pulls me into a hug*
Kelsey
Okay. Be safe on your way back.
Kelsey
*Pulls off from the hug*
Finally off the work. What a hectic shift it was!
*Starts walking to the way back home*
Home. It doesn't even feel like home anymore.
*Pulls the sleeves to cover the palms from the cold*
I feel so cold, both on the outside and inside.
Tears formed at the corner of my eyes. I tried my best not to break down.
Lonliness is pain. Busyness is like a pill. It can only take away the pain for a period of time. Once the effect of the pill fades away, the pain comes back.
*Street light suddenly starts to flicker*
I looked back when I felt chills at my back.
There's a car at the distance.
Something seems off today. I better hurry.
*Starts walking in haste*
The car seemed to catch up with me. My heart began to race.
I took out my phone from my pocket and walked even faster.
The car stopped and a man got off the car. He started catching up with my speed.
*I started to run while looking back and forth*
I took out the pepper spray in my backpack while running.
I looked back to see the man still walking, he wasn't exactly chasing me. Did I over think?
I looked up to see a stranger.
