Brain Scan

The man starts working on a panel. France asks, "Are you a robot?"

The man doesn't answer.

"I don't have anything to say to you if you're a robot. But if you're a human, I want to know what you are doing with me."

"I have to see inside your head!" The man replies.

"Inside my head?" France tries hard not to scream.

"Yes. What you think, how you feel, what you do and want to do. I will see everything. Don't talk anymore."

"How? Are you gonna put something in?"

"No"

"Then what?" France can't control himself. He's scared.

"Don't talk. You'll see for yourself." The man says coldly.

Suddenly France feels light and darkness covers his sight. He can't see anything despite his eyes are open. He was going to scream but he sees some colours. Colours that he has never seen before. Those are coming and going in circles. France can feel he isn't seeing with his eyes. Even though his eyes are open, this sense of 'seeing' is different. There was a quiet sound coming from the cylinders around his head but now he hears a different sound, unlike anything he has heard before.

He had a sense of what is around him but slowly he loses that. He feels that his body isn't listening to him anymore. He's supposed to be scared but he doesn't have any idea how to feel that. Nothing makes sense anymore.

He suddenly feels hot, tastes something bitterly sweet with a strong smell. The hot feeling goes away but he feels a warmth in him. It's not on skin. He feels it inside. As if his mother is holding him and walking around a garden. He smells sweet flowers. But that warmth turns into sharp pain. As if the skin all over his body is burning. But after a few moments, all his feelings go numb. He feels an emptiness that makes everything meaningless. It doesn't matter if he lives or dies. He's tired.

Suddenly he wakes up with a strong wave of coldness down his body. He can see the man looking at the monitor and hear the sound of the machines. He's soaked in cold sweat. The cylinders around his head slowly moves away. France sits up straight on the chair. "You can come down now." The man says without looking at him. "You can go. F-35 will show you the way."

"But–" France says hasitantly.

The man looks coldly at him.

"What dos you see after scanning my brain?" France asks.

"Your hope is not suitable for a class-C person. You want to study more than what has been programmed for you."-The man says in an emotionless voice.

"Is that a crime?" France feels angered.

"No" the man smiles a bit for the first time. "This is not a crime. But people like this can be threat."

"Am I a threat?"

"Not yet. You have a good logic for you. A girl told you about C-Bay. But you didn't go there. You don't have a criminal mindset-" the man stops as if he'll says something.

"What else?" France asks.

"And don't think about studying in time travel anymore. It's really funny. You'll never get that chance."

"There was an alert signal in my t-chip–"

"I stopped it. Robots won't disturb you."

"Thanks." France starts to leave.

"Listen–" the man calls him from behind.

France stops. The man smiles again, "Cheddar cheese is actually good. Try some again."

France is utterly surprised. He had a bad day with cheddar cheese and hates it. He even knows that. There's no secret for him to this man anymore.

F-35 robot was waiting outside for him. It walks towards him. France says, "Don't come close. I have an allergy to robots."

F-35 says, "Allergic reactions in humans have been controlled over the last century. It's nothing more than an academic topic. Recently–"

"Will you just shut up?" France shouts.

F-35 stops.
