Miss Hana poured a teacup and set it in front of Akihito. He took it and slowly drank.
"Aki," Miss Hana asked, "did you clear your business meetings?"
"Yes, Mother, I did," he replied. "If you don't mind, I'm going to my room now."
Miss Hana simply nodded her head in response.
The wedding day arrived. Ave and his parents were in Japan, and Ave was getting ready in a traditional Japanese wedding kimono for the groom.
"Maa," Ave said to his mother, Miss Shivani, "this doesn't look like a male's outfit; it's more like a female one."
Miss Shivani just smiled and gently patted his head. "You look beautiful, dear," she said.
Ave was ready, dressed in a kimono made of red and white silk. Beautiful, little red flowers were crafted onto the fabric, a detail that was truly eye-catching. With his model's face and slim body, the kimono draped elegantly over his frame, highlighting his figure perfectly.
His hair was parted on the side, with a beautiful clip securing half of it, leaving the rest to fall softly over his face. In the traditional clothing, he looked so breathtakingly beautiful that anyone who didn't know he was a man might mistake him for a stunning woman.
Ave’s mother, Miss Shivani, held his hand and led him to the main ceremonial area.
There, dressed in a traditional black montsuki haori hakama, stood Akihito, talking to their fathers, Mr. Arnav and Mr. Akio. Akihito’s face remained perfectly neutral as he spoke.
“I am honored that you both would travel so far to see this through,” he said calmly.
But as Ave walked closer, Akihito’s eyes fell upon him. Ave, in his beautiful red and white kimono, looked ethereal, and for the first time, Akihito's calm demeanor seemed to falter. The psychopath, who had shown no emotion over a man's death, looked as though he had just seen something that moved him.
Ave looked up at Akihito, who was much taller than him. Even though Ave was 5 feet 8 inches tall, he felt like a short person standing in front of him. Akihito’s body was perfectly shown in his traditional montsuki haori hakama. His dark hair was styled to the front, and with his thin, light pink lips and the dark circles under his eyes, he looked both handsome and intimidating.
The wedding ceremony began. Ave was led to the main shrine, where a Shinto priest waited. The air was solemn and quiet, the only sound a low drum beating in the background. Akihito stood across from him, looking as calm and detached as ever in his formal black attire.
The main ritual was the san-san-kudo, or the exchange of sake cups. The priest poured a small amount of sake into a cup. Ave was instructed to drink from it and then pass it to Akihito. Ave's hand trembled slightly as he held the cup. Akihito took it with a perfectly steady hand and drank. The cup was passed back and forth three times, each drink sealing their union a little more.
When Ave's fingers brushed against Akihito's for the first time, Ave felt a jolt of nervousness, but Akihito's face remained utterly neutral.
The ceremony was short, and with the final vows and the exchange of rings, they were officially married.
