Taehyung staggered to his feet, his heart racing, his body still weak from the drug. He reached for Jungkook, desperation in his eyes.
“Jungkook… you know me, right? You know I would never do this kind of thing with anyone.” His trembling fingers tried to grasp Jungkook’s hand.
But Jungkook recoiled as if burned. His face was wet with tears, his voice breaking with rage.
“Don’t you dare touch me with your fucking hands.”
Taehyung froze, the rejection cutting deeper than any knife. His voice cracked as he pleaded, “You know me, Jungkook. I would never do this with a friend. I would never cheat on you. I love you—only you.”
Jungkook stepped closer, his face twisted in pain, his own tears falling. “Don’t say that word to me. Don’t talk about love when you’re lying in a bed with him. Look at you—you even have hickeys on your body. How the hell am I supposed to trust you?!”
“Jungkook—” Taehyung whispered, broken.
“Don’t say my name with your damn mouth!” Jungkook roared.
At that moment, the girl stepped forward, her expression painted with false sympathy. “I told you, didn’t I? He’s exactly like a one-night partner for every alpha.”
Taehyung’s blood boiled. He raised his hand, ready to slap her across the face for her venom, but Jungkook caught his wrist. His voice was ice.
“Why? Why hit her? She’s only saying the truth. Isn’t that what you wanted with me too—a one-night stand?”
The words pierced Taehyung’s heart. His knees nearly gave out as he whispered, “How can you say that to me? Jungkook… I was never with you for that. I don’t do that kind of thing with any alpha. How can you believe her over me? I am your boyfriend.”
“Huh.” Jungkook’s bitter laugh was soaked in tears. “If you really cared about me, about my feelings, you wouldn’t have slept with him, Taehyung.”
“I didn’t!” Taehyung sobbed, collapsing into cries. “I didn’t sleep with him. Please, Jungkook… just once. Believe me. Just once, trust me.”
But Jungkook turned away. His tears blurred his vision as he stormed out of the room.
Taehyung chased after him, his voice cracking through the night. “Jungkook! Please! Just once—listen to me!”
Jungkook didn’t stop. He climbed into his car, his shaking hands gripping the wheel. Taehyung ran, his legs burning, his tears streaming. He reached the car just as the engine roared to life.
“Please!” Taehyung cried, pounding on the window. “Please listen!”
Through the glass, Jungkook saw him—his face streaked with tears, his body trembling, his voice breaking. And still, he pressed his foot on the pedal.
As the car pulled away, Taehyung stumbled and fell to his knees in the middle of the road, sobbing uncontrollably. His cries echoed through the night, raw and desperate. And as Jungkook’s car disappeared into the distance, his own tears blurred the road ahead. Both of them cried until their hearts felt hollow, but neither turned back.
Years later.
Now Jungkook was back in Korea. But he was not alone—the very girl who had destroyed them stood beside him once again.
Would he finally learn the truth? Would he finally see through the lies that had cost them everything? Would he believe Taehyung this time—or would the wounds of the past keep them apart?
The answer waited in the moments yet to come.
