Life isn’t always fair, especially for a child with no family to protect her. But sometimes, Allah sends someone special to hold our hand when we are at our weakest. This chapter will show you how Muskaan’s tears were noticed by the one who was destined to change her life forever. 🌙✨

The next morning, the school bell rang shrilly, and children rushed into their classrooms.
Muskaan walked slowly, clutching her books to her chest. Her uniform was neatly pressed, but the shoes were worn, the bag a little faded. She sat at the last bench, head lowered, praying she would go unnoticed.
But children could be cruel.

“Look at her,” a girl whispered loudly.

She doesn’t even have parents. My mom says kids like her are cursed
Laughter spread across the classroom. Muskaan’s eyes stung, but she didn’t look up. She had learned long ago that crying only gave them more reason to mock her.
The teacher walked in, silencing the noise. Muskaan breathed with relief. But when it was time for lunch, the torment began again.
At the playground, a boy snatched her tiffin.

“Orphans don’t need food. They can eat scraps!” he sneered, holding the box high.

Muskaan jumped, trying to grab it back. “Please! That’s all I have!”
The boy pushed her, and she fell hard onto the ground. Dust smeared her uniform. The other kids laughed.
“Give it back,” a cold voice cut through the noise.
Everyone turned. Standing there was Mizaan, his eyes narrowed, his presence commanding despite his young age.
The bully froze.

“Give. It. Back.” Mizaan’s voice was firm, leaving no room for argument.
The boy quickly shoved the tiffin into Muskaan’s hands and ran off.

Mizaan knelt beside her, offering his hand. “Are you okay?”
Muskaan looked at him with tear-streaked cheeks. Slowly, she nodded and took his hand. His grip was steady, pulling her to her feet as if promising she would never fall again.

“Don’t listen to them,” he said. “Having parents doesn’t make someone better. You’re stronger than all of them.”
Her throat tightened. No one had ever defended her before. For the first time, Muskaan felt a small spark of warmth in her lonely heart.

“Thank you, Mizaan,” she whispered.
He studied her for a moment, then spoke with a seriousness far beyond his years.

Remember what I told you yesterday. You’re not alone. I’ll always be here.

Muskaan smiled faintly through her tears. “You promise too much.”

“I never break my promises,” Mizaan replied firmly.
That evening, as she walked back to the orphanage, Muskaan clutched her tiffin box tightly. The other children’s words still stung, but Mizaan’s voice echoed louder in her heart.

She looked up at the sky, whispering, “Ya Allah, please… don’t let him forget me.”
What Muskaan didn’t know was that life would soon test this fragile bond. Mizaan’s family was wealthy, and one day, circumstances would pull them apart. But destiny had already written their reunion — in a college where love, friendship, and betrayal awaited.
