Everybody was quite in the room, not mine but Mr Robert's room, Mike was the only one absent since he was out of town, in his father's ranch, and would only be back the next day, but Scott was present, he had finished the preparation for the tomorrow's church service and came as fast as possible.

Billy was on a chair with his head down and hands tied, he was really preventing himself from crying. I decided to break the silence, and asked Mr Robert to repeat what he told me this morning.

"What did you just say!?"

"what did I say?, that my mom prepared this food for you?"

"No!!, before that, what did you say!?"

"Oh!, I found the same type of cat box you have in your shelve, I discovered in a strange cave that I, Billy and the others visited yesterday, why asking"

Falling on the ground, Mr Robert started going crazy.

"No!..No!!...Nooo!!...Noooooo!!, ehuff, ehuff"(coughing hard)"

"Mr Robert, what's wrong, calm down, and breath slowly......Ahhh, hey why did you push me!?"

"Because you are an idiot"

"You have just sentence everybody in town to death...ehuff, ehuff"

Trying hard to get up, I could feel that something was wrong, what did he mean by sentence everybody in town to their death?, was this old fox going senile or what?

Old Robert left and entered his room, later coming out with a book, he open the book as fast as possible and saw what he was looking for, before he spoked to me.

"Did you open it!?"

"What!?"

"Did you open it"

"..Emmm!! yes!, yes!!, but it was an accident, the cave was collapsing so I accidentally fell and open it"(rolling my eyes away, proving that I was guilty)"

"Tss..!, what did you see inside it!?" (starring at me with nervous and deep eyes)

At first, I took his expressions and gesture as jokes but as time was passing, I had the feeling, that he was not joking, so I answered all his questions without omitting a detail.

"They box was empty, except of a book that came out and an empty box, nothing special was there, what's wrong Mr Robert"

"That's good to hear, that signifies that, he is still weak, but also he is very hungry, he would head here while swallowing every thing on his way"

"what!?, who are you referring to as thing?"

With trembling hands old Robert gave the book he was reading know and from there I looked at it, my first impression was that of fear, fear not because of what was written but the image of a strange being and written above final form. what shocked me the most was his first form. A cat, an ordinary black cat with gloves on his front paws, before I remembered the one I saw in the cave.

"I...I..I saw his first form"

"What!?, how come your still alive?"

"Huh!?, what do you mean?"

Staring at me, Mr Robert looked at me before asking me a question.

"How old are you?"

"what!?, hmmm??, 14th why asking my age at this particular moment!?"

Robert seized back the book from my hand and open another page, asking me to come closer.

"It is said that he does not feed on people below the age of 15th, that's what saved you."

"My god!, you must be kidding right?"

With his old voice, Robert shouted at me with rage in his eyes.

"Shut up you idiot, you just invited the devil in Winslow town and everybody would be swallowed when that thing would come looking for the box to destroy"

"Why the box?, what thus the box has to be so important in his eyes?"

Dragging his body to a nearby chair, I could really see that Robert had a mixture of stress, and depressed feelings.

"Because, he knows that the box is the only instrument capable of trapping him"

"You mean, I dragged that thing here!?"

"Yes!, My son"

"How do we stop it!?"

Looking at me with a more depressed face, he answered honestly.

"I don't know, the first time he appeared, it was my brother who took charge of it"

"Brother!?, Robert you had a brother!, ...no!, wait!!, what happened to him, where is he?"

Holding his face with his hand, and rubbing his eyes, he spoked.

"He was forgotten"

"What!?"

"Hey was erased in the eye of the world, and only I could remember him"

"is it like dieing!?"

"No!, more like, you have never existed in this world, totally erased"

"What is the meaning of all this, (going closer to Robert and grabbing his shirt), tell me, this is one of your expensive jokes, or something just tell me!"

But seeing that, old Robert carried a serious face and was starring at me with a pitiful face, I realized he was not joking and all this fiction was true"

Kneeling on the floor, I was lost of words, because of my curiosity, my friends, family and the whole town were in danger.

It was precisely at that time, I heard someone hitting at my door, since old Robert's house wasn't far from were I stayed, and the sound was getting larger, I left Mr Robert alone and when out, from there, I saw Billy and his sisters standing at my entrance.

Billy was nervous and from his face, he was confused about what to do, his sisters carried worried faces from they way Billy was behaving.

Leaving Mr Robert's house, I went back home shouting Billy's name.

"Billy!!, What are you doing here!?"

When Billy saw me, he could not resist but cry, kneeling on the floor, he looked at me and from his face, I knew something was wrong.

Taking Billy to my place, I turn on the TV and distracted the children, after I left for my room, from there Billy was on my chair and trembling, was it anger or fear, I did not know what happened to him for him to be like this?

"Billy, what's the situation?"

"My Mom is death"

"What!?"

"My mom was killed by something and I don't know why, all the sheriff's are death"

"Sheriff Brenda and the others are death?, you most be kidding right?"

Billy looked at me, and from his face, I could read the expression, 'Do I look as if I am joking', searching my talkie walkie, I saw it beeping, disoriented by what he just said, I sat on my bed and started thinking.

/"If what Mr Robert said was true, then the thing was heading here, let's see, the distance from here and the cave following the road, is a four hours ride on a bike, two hours in car and 10 hours on foot, if Mrs Brenda is really death, that could only mean, the thing has covered a four hours bike on foot, that's very fast, he most be hungry, so he would be killing peoples on his way here, that would win us some time, to prepare, from here, it would arrive in town tomorrow evening Hmmm!?"/

"Billy!, is the church ceremonial activities tomorrow!?"

Billy looked at me with shocked and anger.

"Is that all your reaction!?, My mom just died....yes it is, why asking!?"

After seeing my serious face, he answered me and when silent.

"That's not good!, look Billy bring Scott here, I would contact Mike and go look for Mr Robert"

"Mr Robert!?, why him, we have to contact your mom!"

"No time to explain, Mr Robert is the person we need the most right now, just do it"

"What!?"

Billy woke up from his seat, and followed me out, we separated, he left find Scott, and I left with my talkie walkie trying to contact Mike, while entering Mr Robert's house, inside Mr Robert was waiting for me as if expecting me to come back, from there we all met in Mr Robert's room.

After Billy, told them what had happened to his mother, Scott was shocked and confused, he did not understand the situation and was lost of words. From there Mr Robert told both of them everything he told me.

Both Scott and Billy were lost of words this time, I could only sit quietly and observe them, after Mr Robert told them everything, both of them looked at me.

'Pow', with a punch on my face, Billy was enrage and could not control himself, I knew I was the course of all this and Mrs Brenda's death, Billy had all the right to be angry.

"Why did you open that dame box!!, why!!?, because of you my mother is death!!, why!!?"

Scott grabbed Billy's hand and glared at him.

"Billy!, keep calm, we do not have the time to go crazy and blame others"

"What did you just say!?"

As Billy was preparing an attack against Scott's harsh words, I stood up and interrupted them.

"He is coming here"

Both of them looked at me with the face of 'What did you just say', and I had to explain the following situation to them.

"He is coming to Winslow for us, no, he is coming for this box"

Bringing out the box and the book from my bag, Scott, Billy and old Robert could only get more enraged, seriously I had completely messed up this time.

"We have at least one day to prepare for his arrival from here we have to warn the adults"
