Responsibilities became a burden at the young age of 20 for Jungkook, as his father died of illness and soon followed his mother. Once rich land slowly began to fall day by day. It's not that Jungkook is a terrible leader, but he lost a few alliances from neighbouring lands along with his father's death. He was offered mating proposals from a few packs since he is a hot and handsome bachelor Alpha. However, all came with a condition that they receive a part of his land as well.

He had heard about the devil urchin Omega from far south before, but nothing concerned him until recently when he was informed that Kim Taejun is ready to offer anything to the Alpha who successfully marry his Omega son.

Well, Jungkook himself is not interested in mating or starting a family anytime soon. His main focus has always been his land and his pack, the people who trust and relay on him. If this alliance anyhow saves his land from the downfall, then he is willing to sacrifice his personal interests.

Accompanying his loyal and trustworthy childhood, Beta friend Jung Hoseok, he decided to meet and seek hands of this infamous Omega for his own benefits.

"Jungkook-ah, I had heard from many that this Omega is such a handful, ill-mannered devil. Are you sure you want him as our Luna? We are not even sure if you will be able to make him agree to this marriage. Do you have any plans?"

Jungkook sighed, nodding a no. "This is our only chance, hyung. I can't let my people down.'' He wears his best fine silk, and the necklace with his pack crescent to gift it to the Omega he has never seen before.

The moment Jungkook's eyes met Taehyung's, his breath hitched. He has never seen an omega this beautiful. 'So the tales are true,' Jungkook thought to himself.

"I have come here to ask your Omega son's hand for marriage." Jungkook bowed slightly to Taejun. Taehyung scoffed at that whilst Namjoon gasped.

Taejun was shocked himself. He cleared his throat. "Jungkook-ssi, have you heard about my son? Probably not, since you are far up north. But I must say—."

"Pardon me, sir, for interrupting you. I have been hearing greatly of your son, which made my heart ache for him as days passed by. I can assure you that your son will agree to marry me next Sunday." Jungkook announced, which surprised every single person in the room, including Taehyung and Hoseok.

"What nonsense are you talking? Must be a fool to believe I would marry you in a week." Taehyung mocks the younger. Jungkook smiles, looking at the Omega. He walks towards him and halts just a breath away.

Taehyung felt every hair in his skin rise as he inhales the roasted pumpkin scent of the Alpha. The sudden closeness startled the Omega as no Alpha dared to come this near. Jungkook took off his necklace and looked deep into Taehyung's eyes.

"Marry me, Taehyung-ssi, and I shall cover you with the finest silk, expensive jewellery, and my at most love." Jungkook paused for a moment and then leaned in to put on the necklace on the Omega. Everyone, including Taehyung, was astounded by Jungkook's bold move.

Taehyung's eyes widened as he could feel the insane rhythm of his heartbeat for the first time. He tried to pull the necklace off, but he couldn't. "You can not remove it, my Luna. It's the crescent stoned blessed by the moon goddess passed on for generations. The stone possesses the power of the moon, and it chooses you.

"This is bullsh!t. There is nothing that could possess the power of the moon Goddess. You are bluffing. This is ridiculous." Taehyung's eyes shot daggers at the Alpha.

"Give me 3 months to make your son fall in love with me. If I succeed, please have an alliance with Atholl supplying with lifetime food and other goods for the generations to come. If I don't succeed, Taehyung-ssi can come back to his home, and I would give up my land to the Kims."

The revelation entranced the servants and guards, the Kims and Hoseok, as well. "Jungkook, what are you proposing? This is insane." Hoseok pulled back Jungkook to his side and whispered.

"I don't have a choice, hyung. It's do or die now." Jungkook whispered back but kept his gaze locked on the Omega.

"Then be ready to give up your land, Jeon, for I shall never fall in love with you anyhow." Taehyung announced his decision.

"I will come again on Sunday, in a carriage that would make anyone envy, bring you the bear meat which I myself hunt, gifts and jewelleries to your liking. I will come on Sunday as your groom—as your Alpha, I will come on Sunday for the mating ceremony and take you home as my Luna." Jungkook bows and retreats with the two men he came along.

"Jeon Jungkook, are you out of your mind? How can you just give up your land for that brat? I thought you had a proper plan." Hoseok berated at the younger. Of course, being his childhood friend, Hoseok definitely has the right to yell at the pack Alpha even though he is a Beta.

Some wolves in the pack had even doubted their close friendship to be something more. However, Hoseok they always shared a strong platonic relationship with each other.

"Believe me, hyung, I had no plans to say that, but something made me propose it. As if something or someone whispered it into my ears. That Omega, his burning caramel scent, didn't scare me away like that for other Alphas." Jungkook says, unsure about the feeling he sensed at that moment.

"Did you ask any shaman to put a spell on the necklace? I know it's worn by all the precedent Lunas in our pack, but as far as I remember, it has nothing to do with the moon Goddess." Hoseok asks curiously and confused.

Jungkook chuckles, shaking his head. "Yeah, you are right. It has nothing to do with the moon goddess."

"Then why couldn't that Omega remove it?" Hoseok got more curious. "Because I knew he would pull that off, so I added a special lock to the chain which can only be unlocked by me." Jungkook laughs again.

"You little devil...seems like he is the perfect match for you.

As the cold summer drizzle wets the earth, Taehyung sat by the window sill, lost in thoughts. His fingers fiddled with the crescent pendant around his neck. Something about that Alpha is piquing his interest. The bold and brave, handsome and hottest, young and endearing, one of a kind Alpha that Taehyung has ever come across.

"He is not brave but a fool to offer his pack and his land. Why would he be confident that I would agree to marry him, moreover, that I would fall in love with him." Taehyung snorted, thinking about the certain Alpha.

"Does he have other motives? I would never submit my wolf to anyone no matter what he promises." Taehyung stands up and march towards his father's study.

As expected, his father was not alone. His maternal uncle Lee Seo Jin and his son Lee Si Hyun were present along with Namjoon.

"Speak of the devil," Si Hyun says the moment he sees Taehyung come in. His father nudges with his elbow.

"Ah, Taehyung-ah, we were just talking about you. You have grown more beautiful than I saw you last time. How unfortunate for you to be mateless at this age!" Seo Jin spoke so dearly.

Taehyung rolls his eyes, ignoring his uncle's comment, he looked at his father. "I need to speak with you and hyung."

"You ill-mannered devil. Can't you see my father talking to you?" Si Hyun admonished the Omega, almost choking his neck. Taehyung was quick enough to push back the Alpha. "How dare you bi*ch—."

"Si Hyun, stop this madness. He is your cousin, after all." Seo Jin called out. Amid all this, Taejun and Namjoon stood motionless, which made Taehyung even more agitated.

"Taehyung-ah, your grandfather has found—." Seo Jin began to speak when Taehyung cut him off.

"I have decided to marry that Alpha from Atholl." The Omega's announcement startled others especially his father and his brother. "On one condition." Taehyung glances at his uncle and cousin before continuing.

"After three months, his land and the pack will be mine and mine alone. It won't be under the Kims. I'm a pure blood omega, and I know how to manage a pack on my own."

Whilst the Kims stood in silence, the Lees laughed at him. "Are you saying an Alpha is ready to mate with you? Haha..must be a fool to think that. When you said their land and pack will be yours, did they offer you that in exchange for your hand? This is utter nonsense." Si Hyun laughed again.

"Seo Jin -ssi, since Taehyung has decided to marry someone, you may leave peacefully. You don't have to worry about the legacy anymore. That Alpha is the pack leader, so my son is going there as their Luna." Taejun bowed to the other politely before asking them to leave.

Hesitantly, the Lees retreated. "Find that pack Alpha from Atholl. We need to speak with him and get him out of this." Seo Jin mumbled to his son. One of the perks of being a pure blood Omega is that he can hear better than the rest of the Alphas and Omegas.

Despite Taehyung's protest, Taejun sent a letter to Jungkook saying that his Omega son has accepted Jungkook's proposal and that the Kims shall send unlimited supply of food and other goods until the marriage lasts.

They didn't receive any letter back from Jungkook, though. Taehyung blames himself for agreeing to marry irrationally. He doesn't know what made him choose that Alpha. The thought of the roasted pumpkin filled his mind. Taehyung was so against marrying/mating with anyone until now, and this decision worries him somehow.

He became more irritated with just anything and everything, yelling and screaming at the poor servants, or whoever approached to talk to him.

"Why is my room cold? Haven't you burned the woods yet?"

"I don't like this colour. Change it this instant."

"This is too sour, eww..you call this as soup?"

"Father, do you really think Taehyung agreed to marry that Alpha from Atholl just for his land and the pack?" Namjoon raised a question he had been thinking about for a while.

"I'm actually quite surprised that he accepted the proposal. However, like you asked, I had been thinking about it as well. I am sure Taehyung accepted this to avoid the pestering from your maternal family. I'm really unsure why he hate them. Sure that your cousin is a bit annoying and uncaring, but I'm certain that your grandfather and you uncle just want to keep up their pure blood omegas' legacy. If Taehyung continues as an unmated omega, then there will never be another pure blood Omega."

Sunday came sooner than Taehyung anticipated. The servants brought his suite that his father specifically asked to design. The white silk shirt and vest with velvet cape, jewelled and embroidered with gold and silver.

The people in Kim mansion were all dressed up for the much awaited ceremony, so as the entire country Lanark. The crowd gathered outside the gate, eager to see who that foolish and unfortunate Alpha was getting mated with the devil urchin.

Taehyung feels dizzy as time passes by. He begins to lash out without any reasons to the servants and people around. Unsure of the cause of his anger that emanates from the tightness in his heart. Is it because of his regrets in agreeing to marry or because his Alpha was supposed to be here an hour ago?

Taejun looked at his Alpha son in worry. Did they get fooled by a mere Alpha from a poor country? Taehyung never said yes to any suitors before, and the one he did didn't show up for his own marriage.

Taehyung closes his eyes as he waits. He never had patience for this long before. 'My uncle might have succeeded in pulling out that Alpha from this proposal. Fine. I never needed him anyway." Taehyung stood up from the chair, frustrated. He looked at his worried father and his brother before he removed his cape. "I'm calling this off."
