The office was dim, and shadows stretched long across polished wood and glass. Behind the wide desk, the Williams heir sat in silence.
David Williams/DaveyDad (DA)
“It’s settled. You’ll marry the June boy.” * said in a quiet voice *
Davey Williams(DA)
“Understood “ * said simply in a low voice *
He didn't flinch, didn't even lift his eyes from the file on the desk. Because the word marriage meant nothing to him.
David Williams/DaveyDad (DA)
“He’s young, optimistic. You may find him… different from what you expect.”* still trying to convince him*
Davey Williams(DA)
“I have built my life on discipline, work, and control. Love and affection are all weaknesses and I'm not ready for that, I promise to respect and treat him well but I don't think I can give him love “
Davey Williams(DA)
“And this is just business “ * mumbled *
David Williams/DaveyDad (DA)
“Perhaps. But sometimes, business has a way of changing a man.”
Davey Williams(DA)
“Smirk sarcastically “ *didn't respond *
He didn’t hate the idea of it. What he hated was the responsibility it dragged along with the obligation to show up for someone, to make time for dinners, to be gentle, to offer affection.

His life was already split in two: the clean, polished front of his company, and the darker, bloodstained world that thrived beneath it. Every hour was claimed by business, strategy, survival. Where in all of that was there room to hold someone’s hand? To comfort? To love?
Davey Williams(DA)
“If there is nothing else can I get back to my work?”
David Williams/DaveyDad (DA)
“Don't be late tomorrow you will meet your bride “
Davey Williams(DA)
“Nodded”
