The night I became his..

> Scene: Yukinobi Town — 3:12 AM

The snow is thick, muffling every sound. Not a soul on the streets. Streetlamps glow like dying candles. A single crow lands on a rooftop, watching.

---

Location: School Gates

Why is Mirei here? Even she doesn’t know.

Only that she woke up breathless. Still in her uniform. Drawn like a thread tugged in her chest.

She stands at the rusted school gate in the dead of night. Her scarf is wrong. It’s the one Ren dropped last week. She never returned it.

Mirei (voice shaking, but smiling):

“I just wanted to see where he walks. At this hour. In this snow. Maybe his footsteps are still warm…”

> The wind howls like a warning. She doesn’t care. She steps inside.

---

Inside the School

> The halls creak with age. The heater’s long since shut down. Her footsteps echo.

Mirei (humming faintly, fingers trailing the wall):

“Tell me you’re here. Hiding. Waiting. Testing me…”

She walks barefoot now — left her shoes at the door like a good girl. Her hands red from cold. Still smiling. Always smiling.

> Until she hears it.

Until she hears it.

The soft, echoing sound of piano.

Coming from the music room.

A familiar melody. Not cheerful. Not classical.

A lullaby.

---

Music Room — Door Slightly Open

Mirei peers in through the cracked door. And there he is.

Ren.

Sitting at the piano. Alone. Wearing a black coat over his uniform. No gloves. His fingers dance over the keys like they’re telling secrets.

He doesn’t look up. But he speaks.

Ren:

“You broke the rules again.”

He keeps playing. The song shifts into a slow, melancholy waltz.

Ren:

“Do you want to confess, Mirei?”

> He doesn’t sound angry. He sounds… thrilled.

Mirei: (she falls to her feet) no, no, NO! I'm sorry Ren-chan, it was a mistake, i-i couldn't resist! please don't leave me! (She sobs)

> The piano stops.

Just like that — silence.

Ren doesn’t speak. Doesn’t move. The room feels suddenly vast, like a chapel after a funeral.

---

Ren (finally, quietly):

“…So you admit it.”

> The click of the piano bench echoes as he stands.

Soft footsteps.

And then — he’s in front of her.

Mirei's curled on the cold floor, knees scraped from the fall, hair messy, lips trembling, hands gripping her skirt like it’s the only thing keeping her together. Her eyes shine with tears — too many — as she chokes out apologies like prayers.

Ren (kneels down, gentle voice):

“Hey. Mirei. Look at me.”

> She does. Slowly.

He cups her chin softly. Like a lover. Like a saint.

Ren:

“I told you the rules. I warned you what would happen.”

> He leans in — his breath warm against her lips. For a moment, it feels like he might kiss her. The taste of forgiveness is right there.

Ren (whispers):

“So… are you ready to pay the price?”

> His hand slides up to her face. Wipes a tear with his thumb. Then he presses that bloody thumb to her lips.

Ren:

“Say it. Say you’re mine.”

---

The lights above them flicker.

A storm brews beyond the snow.

The air is thick with madness, with love, with punishment.

> Because Ren hasn’t disappeared.

He’s stepped closer.

Mirei (voice trembling, lips stained with the taste of her own blood and something sweeter—submission):

“I’m yours… I’m yours, Ren-chan. Always. Only. Completely…”

> Her eyes never leave his. Even as more tears fall. Even as her voice cracks. It’s not just a confession—it’s a surrender.

Not to love, but to ownership.

---

Ren (soft smile, but his eyes gleam like knives behind glass):

“There it is.”

> He stands. Slow. Calm. The kind of calm a sea has before it pulls you under. Then he offers his hand.

Ren:

“Come on. Get up.

You don’t belong on the floor. You’re mine, remember?”

> Mirei takes his hand. He pulls her to her feet like it means something. Like she’s being reborn.

Her knees wobble, but she holds on. To him. To the moment. To the invisible thread tying them together.

---

Ren (quietly, almost lovingly):

“Now that you’ve said it…

You can never take it back.”

(He brushes her messy bangs from her forehead. Like a farewell. Like a blessing.)

Ren:

“You don’t love me anymore, Mirei.

You belong to me. That’s different.”

> Behind them, the lights flicker out.

And somewhere in the building, a loud crash. Maybe a window shattering. Maybe the world ending.

But Mirei doesn’t hear it.

She’s too busy smiling.

Mirei (whispers to herself):

“I never wanted love anyway.”
