PROLOGUE

Hi guys! This is the first story I'm taking seriously. I'm new so there may be parts that're too cringey. I'm just 14 years old and still learning, so please bare with me. Updates can be slow sometimes because I'm currently taking online classes.

The following scenes, characters and places are all fictional. This story is only created by the author's imagination so some parts can be too much.

This story is still unedited so there might be typographical errors. I'm still working on it so please bare with me.

PROLOGUE: WELCOME HOME

"What am I doing here?! Help! Somebody help me!", I screamed out of my lungs in fear that they might do something bad or make me do something out of my will.

I'm totally confused! What am I doing here?! As far as I know, I'm just going back to my condo after my shift on a bakery.

"Shut up. If not for the boss's orders, we would've killed you a hundred times in a hundred different ways."

My eyes widened.

Hell, I'm dead meat!

The next thing that happened was far beyond my imagination. Three gunshots, shot... on the three men that took me here.

And before I knew it, I'm already trembling in fear.

What is it that I've done in my past life to receive this kind of treatment?

"How dare you threaten my guest, you lowly creatures."

A man wearing a tuxedo came out of nowhere.

"B-boss. Please kill us for committing such a sin!", the three men bowed while their hands and legs are trembling in fear.

"Glad that you know it.", after he said those words, he shot those three directly on their heads.

I trembled more and bursted in tears. I never once saw this kind of violence in my entire life! I'm so scared that I feel like I would pass out anytime.

And then he turned his attention onto me.

My eyes widened more. I could only pray to have a better life next time.

"Dainty... don't act all scared like you didn't kno—"

I can't take it anymore... I'm feeling dizzy and all.

Oh, how I wish this will be all over when I wake up.

"Dainty..."

Come to think of it, I haven't really done anything good like helping others or even going to church every Sunday.

"Dainty!"

Guess hell is my only choice of destination.

"What is this...", I woke up in a coffin surrounded by white flowers wearing a white dress.

I'm confused.

A coffin. A white dress. And white flowers?

Am I dead? Good thing that it's all over now. I don't have to suffer anymore.

"Glad you're awake, you've been sleeping for nearly one month."

Goosebumps is real! Shit, who is that?

Fear?

I held my chest and felt my heart beating. If I'm dead, wasn't I supposed not to feel fear? Then, why am I feeling this?

****, I'm still alive. Goddammit!

Wait, then why am I in a coffin?

Okay, things are getting creepier and creepier.

First, I was kidnapped. Second, I'm in coffin. Third, there's a voice that came out of nowhere. And lastly, I'm fucking alive!

"Dainty."

I stopped when I heard someone said my name.

I got out of bed and looked everywhere just to find that voice. But I got nothing.

There's a dark corner in the room and I came there hoping to find the person who called my name.

Maybe he's someone I know. Maybe he's Chelsea or Jimmy or Nichole! Or even mom and dad—

I suddenly realized what I said.

Oh right. They're already dead... and it's because of me.

Dainty, you're so ridiculous.

I came back to reality when someone hugged me from the back. I tried to resist but I couldn't. He's just too strong!

Stop this, it's hurting me!

When he realized that I'm panicking, he ceased his arms lighter and then I found a chance to escape on his arms.

But that...

That single phrase...

"Dainty... welcome home"
