I'm enjoying this story
Emma Garcia
*She stopped in front of him, arms crossed, a teasing smile playing at her lips.*
Still glued to this hallway like a watchdog?
He didn’t answer. He didn’t need to
Emma Garcia
*Her eyes narrowed slightly, lips curving with forced charm.*
You must get bored watching the same door every morning. Unless… what’s inside keeps things interesting?
Luca Petrov
*Luca’s jaw tightened.*
I’m here to protect Mrs. Garcia Nothing else.
Emma’s smile faltered for a blink.
Lyla stepped out, elegant and hair pinned effortlessly. She paused, taking in the scene Emma standing too close to Luca, Luca standing like stone.
Emma Garcia
*Emma turned, her expression brightening falsely.*
Lyla! Good morning. You look… rested.”
Lyla Garcia/ Martin
*Lyla offered a polite smile.*
Morning, Emma.
Her gaze flicked to Luca for a second—subtle, but not unnoticed.
Emma saw it too.
And her own smile sharpened.
Emma Garcia
Well, *
she said breezily, looping her arm through Lyla’s as if they were old friends.*
Shall we go down together? everyone's waiting.
Luca fell into step behind them, silent, watchful—but Lyla felt the heat of his presence like a second skin.
She walked with a smile on her face and a storm brewing in her chest.
Sofia sat at the head of the table, poised and elegant, quietly reading the morning paper. Finley, her husband, leaned back in his chair, a stern but calm presence. Charlie, the middle brother, animatedly told a story about a boating mishap, causing a few chuckles from around the table.
this is what they were wearing
Lyla entered, arm linked with Emma’s, the youngest sibling who glided in like she owned the room. Luca stayed near the door, silent and watchful, eyes flickering briefly to Lyla before scanning the rest of the room.
Sofia Garcia
Ah, Lyla
*Sofia said glancing up from her paper with a raised brow.*
You’re late.
Emma Garcia
Morning, Mother
*Emma said with a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes.*
We were just catching up upstairs.
Charlie Garcia
*Charlie grinned.*
More like ambushed in the hallway, right?
Emma Garcia
*Emma rolled her eyes dramatically.* Please. I was being nice.
Lyla offered a polite smile and took the seat opposite Finley, who nodded approvingly at her.
Gabriel entered, freshly showered, sleeves rolled up, a faint smile tugging at his lips. His eyes swept the room, landing first on Lyla, then on Luca, and finally on Emma, who straightened immediately.
Gabriel Garcia
You’re all early today
*Gabriel said, grabbing a coffee*
Sofia Garcia
*Sofia sighed.*
Some of us never slept.
Emma Garcia
*Emma smirked.*
Some of us have plans.
Emma Garcia
*Her gaze flicked again to Luca.*
Right, Luca?
No response.
Lyla’s fingers tightened around her fork as the silent standoff deepened.
it was obvious she was trying to get some reaction from luca and pissing off lyla
