The living room was alive with chaos. Uno cards scattered across the plush carpet like fallen confetti, bowls of snacks dangerously close to being tipped, and laughter bouncing from wall to wall.
Aurora was in the center of it all, her knees tucked beneath her as she clutched a card with dramatic suspense.
“I swear, if this is another +4, I’m going to declare war,” Jungkook muttered.
She burst into laughter. “Relax! I’m not that evil!”
“You are that evil,” Yoongi chimed in, casually munching popcorn.
“Agreed,” Taehyung added, eyes narrowed. “You smiled before drawing. Suspicious.”
“False accusation,” Aurora declared, placing down a regular green 7 with flair. “I’m innocent.”
From the armchair, Eunwoo chuckled quietly, sipping his drink. His gaze lingered on her—not in a way that demanded attention, but in a way that everyone noticed except her.
She was glowing—laughing too hard at Jin’s jokes, poking at Hobi’s forehead, grinning every time she sneakily stole Eunwoo’s snacks.
And Eunwoo? He didn’t say much. He just watched. Calm. Amused. Too focused.
Yoongi raised an eyebrow at the way Eunwoo’s fingers unconsciously nudged her water glass closer when she reached without looking.
Jungkook kicked Taehyung lightly. “Are you seeing what I’m seeing?”
Taehyung smirked. “Oh, I’ve been seeing it for the past 30 minutes.”
“She doesn’t have a clue,” Jin whispered, eyes twinkling.
“She’s still teasing him like she teases us,” Jimin whispered back, “but he doesn’t look at her like we do.”
Meanwhile, Aurora had no idea.
“Oppa!” she called to Eunwoo, “Draw your card. You’re stalling.”
He raised a brow, holding her gaze. “You’re accusing me of cheating?”
“Always,” she shot back playfully.
“I’ll take that personally,” he said, placing down a skip card with a small smirk.
As the game continued, the atmosphere grew brighter. But beneath it all, the tension built like a low hum in the room.
At one point, Aurora leaned over to whisper something to Eunwoo—something stupidly funny about Jin’s serious “poker Uno face.” Her laughter rang out as Eunwoo chuckled low, too close.
Too soft.
Too natural.
And just like that, Jimin mouthed, “It’s so obvious.”
But Aurora remained blissfully unaware.
Later, as the game ended and the group began to disperse for snacks and refills, Yoona nudged Yoongi.
“She doesn’t get it, huh?”
Yoongi crossed his arms. “Nope. Not even close. And that guy?” He nodded toward Eunwoo, who was now walking beside Aurora to the kitchen. “Head over heels.”
Taehyung added, “It’s the way he lets her win and still smirks like she earned it.”
“She’s going to be the last one to figure it out,” Hobi whispered with a grin.
“Or the first to destroy him if he ever breaks her heart,” Jimin muttered.
They all nodded in agreement.
In the kitchen, Aurora was already teasing Eunwoo again. “Next time, I’ll go easy on you. I don’t want to break your fragile ego.”
He leaned on the counter, amused. “You’ve been breaking it since you were sixteen. I’m used to the pain.”
She laughed, totally missing the softness in his tone.
Totally missing how he looked at her like she held the stars and didn’t even know it.
And yet, for everyone else in that mansion—the writing was on the walls.
