{Wenalin Pov}
I stared at my reflection
The morning light poured into my room through the blinds, highlighting every detail I usually tried to avoid.
It was ugly.
I knew that.
My skin was clear, my eyes sharp, my nose straight.
But my lips… they never sat right. From the front, I looked fine. Maybe even beautiful to someone generous. But tilt a camera a bit, take a picture from the side then it becomes obvious. My upper lip doesn’t line evenly with the bottom. The right side curves a little more. One corner pulls higher when I talk or smile.
It made photos awkward.
Worse on video.
Unbearable in high definition.
And that’s all people saw online angles, frames, slow-motion edits. No one cared if it looked fine in real life. They’d pause and rewind until they found the imperfection.
That’s why I never showed my face.
Not in my app. Not in the MVs. Not in any
Kyuttko existed behind the curtain and that’s exactly where she’d stay.
I tied my hair up messily, ignoring the reflection, and grabbed my bag. Another school day, another performance of “normal girl with normal life.” Great.

The sun was annoyingly hot again when I stepped into the plaza. Our school’s old benches creaked under their own weight, the wide LED screen playing something in the middle of the courtyard—too bright, too loud, as usual.
“WENALIN!!”
I didn’t even need to look.
That voice was unmistakable.
There she was, waving like a five-year-old, already holding a milk tea in each hand as a bribe.
“What do you want?” I muttered as I walked over.
She scooted to the side of the bench, patting the empty space beside her with enthusiasm that should’ve been illegal this early in the afternoon.
“LUMEN7 and Dualight are guesting on Let’s Play Idol! It’s the special live one! Look! LOOK!” she squealed.
On the big screen, the studio lights were glowing. The hosts were laughing, Dualight doing some exaggerated pose
My eyes locked onto the screen for a second too long.
“You HAVE to watch!"
“Come on,” she said again, voice softening. “Please? It’s not like you have anywhere else to be.”
I sighed and sat beside her, tugging my hoodie up a little.
The screen showed a replay of a segment
(Studio )
[Studio: Let’s Play Idol! | Filming Day | Late Afternoon]
The studio lights dimmed momentarily, and a lively jingle played through the speakers — upbeat, exciting, unmistakable. A voice announced with cheerful energy:
“Welcome back to Let’s Play Idol! — the show where your favorite stars drop their idol image and play like real people! Today’s guests… for the first time ever, TWO of the hottest groups in Astra Entertainment: please welcome LUMEN7 and DUALIGHT!!”
The crowd erupted in cheers a mix of Luminia lightsticks glowing sky blue and white, and My Light's signature neon lavender.
The studio camera swept over the two groups already seated on two comfy couches: LUMEN7 on the left, and Dualight on the right. A bright table sat between them, filled with colorful cue cards, microphones, and mystery boxes.
“HELLOOOOO!” shouted Momojii, Dualight’s charismatic sunshine. “It’s been a while, right? We’ve missed this chaotic show!”
“We were not ready for the camera this early,” said Yuxin, brushing back his silver hair, calm as ever. “But here we are.”
LUMEN7 waved as the audience roared again.
“Hello, everyone,” Ian said with a small smile, doing the polite idol bow.
Rizen waved both arms wildly. “Hi, Luminia! Hi! Dualight-san, let’s have fun today!”
Mithan beamed. “This will be dangerous. I feel it.”
Tayden yawned but waved enthusiastically.
Sohan simply nodded.
Nayel held up a tiny sign he doodled: “Chaos incoming.”
Yazen leaned into the mic. “Let’s get this over with before someone loses their mind.”
The hosts — a lively duo named MC Kabi and MC Ro — stepped into frame with huge grins.
“Two powerhouse groups in one room!” Kabi exclaimed. “What a blessing for us... and a nightmare for the camera crew!”
“Let’s start with a quick warm-up!” Ro said. “Answer in 3 Seconds! Ready?”
They held up flash cards and fired away.
"Who in your group is the biggest eater?"
LUMEN7:
“Tayden!” — shouted Ian, Nayel, Mithan, and Sohan at once.
Tayden blinked. “Hey! I’m growing!”
“Sideways,” Sohan muttered.
Dualight:
“Momojii!”
Momojii gasped. “RUDE. Yuxin ate six slices of cake last night!”
“I was testing them for poison,” Yuxin deadpanned.
Who’s the mom of the group?”
LUMEN7:
“Ian,” Rizen grinned.
“I reject that label,” Ian said.
“You literally checked our vitamin intake last night,” Mithan said.
Dualight:
“Yuxin, obviously,” said Momojii.
“And you’re the reckless child,” Yuxin replied with a patient smile.
The audience laughed wildly.

Part 2: The Game Segment – “Guess That Pose!”
MC Ro clapped his hands. “Time for our famous Guess That Pose challenge! Each idol draws a card, acts it out silently, and the others must guess! The losing team… has to read fan-written dramatic lines!”
Round 1:
Yuxin picked a card and acted as a dramatic pirate.
“Pirate! Captain! Drama queen!”
“YES!” shouted Momojii.
Round 2:
Tayden pulled his card and immediately dropped to the floor, crawling like a zombie.
“Kyuttko fangirl,” Sohan said.
“…Correct,” the host laughed, showing the card: "Diehard Kyuttko Fan.”
Luminia screamed with laughter. Even Yuxin cracked a smile.
Round 3:
Mithan strutted dramatically with an invisible handbag.
“Anime girl!” Nayel screamed.
“No, it’s Mira-tan going shopping!”
Correct.
“Of course Nayel got that,” Yazen sighed.
Round 4:
Rizen jumped up, flapping arms like a bird.
“Angry pigeon!”
“No, no — it’s ‘Idol late for rehearsal!’”
“Same thing,” Ian muttered.
---
Part 3: Punishment – Dramatic Fan Lines
Dualight lost the guessing game by 1 point.
MC Kabi grinned devilishly. “Time for your punishment! You must each read a dramatic fan-submitted line — with full emotion.”
Yuxin (with fake tears): “Even if you become a potato… I’ll peel away the layers… to your heart.”
Momojii (hand over chest): “You walked into my life like a pizza delivery — hot, cheesy, and unexpected.”
LUMEN7 burst into laughter.
---
Part 4: Heart to Heart
MC Ro toned it down. “Let’s get real for a bit. What’s something you admire about each other’s group?”
Ian: “Dualight has years of experience, but they still stay humble. That’s rare.”
Yuxin: “LUMEN7 reminds me of us when we first started passionate, unpredictable, but sincere.”
Momojii: “Also dangerously chaotic.”
Mithan: “You’re one to talk.”
“Fair.”
Rizen: “I admire how Dualight always look out for each other. I wanna be that for Ian.”
Ian blinked. “You already are.”
Fans screamed.
Tayden: “Sohan listens to Kyuttko with me. That’s true love.”
Sohan rolled his eyes but didn’t deny it.
Nayel: “If Dualight did a Mira-tan collab I would lose my mind.”
Yazen: “Please don’t.”

Final Comments
MC Kabi: “Final message to your fans?”
Ian: “To our Luminia — thank you for staying with us. We’ll keep growing.”
Rizen: “Let’s keep smiling together!”
Mithan: “You’re the reason we shine!”
Nayel: “Mira-tan loves you. I mean—I love you.”
Yazen: “Stay hydrated.”
Sohan: “Don’t forget to rest.”
Tayden: “Stream Kyuttko!”
Momojii: “To My Light — you light up our stage!”
Yuxin: “And our hearts.”
The applause from the studio still echoed faintly as the boys of LUMEN7 and Dualight filed into the spacious dressing room, their bodies tired but hearts buzzing with leftover adrenaline. The warm lighting and soft couches welcomed them like a quiet exhale after hours of performance, laughter, and chaos.
The moment they sat down, Momojii dropped onto the carpet face-first.
“I’m dead. Someone bury me with a pizza.”
Yuxin, neat as ever, handed him a towel. “You only screamed eight times. Impressive.”
Rizen was still laughing. “I’m keeping a mental clip of Momojii’s dramatic line for life.”
Ian was wiping his sweat calmly when the door swung open.
“Good job, everyone!”
Tsukena, their ever-composed and kind manager, entered with a tablet in her hand, wearing her usual smart blazer and pastel skirt. Her eyes sparkled with quiet pride — and amusement.
“You all did amazing. Social media is already going crazy with clips of your guessing game, and the Kyuttko cover is trending again,” she said, tapping her screen.
Tayden perked up instantly. “She saw it? Kyuttko saw it?”
Tsukena blinked. “...Possibly? We don’t know, but the views spiked right after airtime.”
Sohan, sitting beside Tayden, nudged him slightly. “You’ve been listening to her song on loop for two days.”
“He’s converting me,” Sohan added casually, earning a snort from Yazen.
Mithan, still giddy from the show, tossed his jacket on the couch. “I feel like I just laughed for two hours straight.”
“Because you did,” said Ian, adjusting his glasses with a soft smile.
Nayel, still clutching his Mira-tan keychain, looked at Tsukena. “Can we have a full anime-themed episode next time? I have ideas. Many ideas.”
Tsukena chuckled, “I’ll suggest it, but no promises. Last time you started quoting lines in rehearsal, half the staff got confused.”
Yuxin leaned back. “Still... I have to say. It was nice doing this with LUMEN7.”
Momojii, now sitting up, nodded. “Yeah. It didn’t feel like two groups — just one big team.”
There was a quiet moment — filled not with words, but comfortable familiarity. The buzz of fans still raving online. The knowledge they pulled off something special. Together.
Tsukena looked around at all of them. “I’m proud of all of you.”
Ian bowed his head slightly. “Thank you, Manager Tsukena.”
Rizen beamed. “Let’s do it again next time!”
