All the students were seated quietly in the hall, the air buzzing with nervous anticipation. One by one, they stood up to introduce themselves, their voices a mix of confidence and hesitation. The seniors, seated at the front with amused smiles, listened carefully. After each introduction, they handed out tasks—some simple, some meant to test nerves.
Now, it was Kim Taehyung's turn.
He slowly rose from his seat, his palms clammy and his throat dry as sand. A wave of heat flushed his face, and his legs felt like they might give way beneath him. His heart pounded so loudly, he could barely hear anything else. The room felt a hundred times larger with all eyes on him.
He glanced to the side—no Jimin. His only source of comfort had been called away earlier to complete a senior’s task. Taehyung was alone.
He took a shaky step forward, then another. His hands trembled at his sides, and his voice caught in his throat as he tried to speak.
A few seniors exchanged amused glances. One of them leaned back in their chair, smirking.
