After an hour the police came and as expected it was Inspector Likrinn. We told him everything that happened. The forensics started investigating and it was proven that the victim was poisoned with Cyanide.
After getting all statements we were still not sure about who did it. The maids told us that they prepared everything, but it looks like all the servants went out to call everyone and the food was left for some time.
It will be difficult to determine who did it. Everyone is a suspect. No one has a solid alibi because everyone was doing their own things. According to Mr. Sille Idrianna, he went inside the room at the same time as his son, Cliavall. They also stated that Mrs. Klania was the first to arrive. A lot of them also hate her so identifying the killer will not be an easy job.
After the investigation the police left, and inspector Likrinn told us that he would come back if he found anything that could help the case.
The corridor was so long, as always. Filled with darkness and silence. Clee looks sleepy, he was too focused on examining the body and was fixated on observing the suspect's expression that he didn't notice that thing. I called him, he responded with a bored yes, he looked tired, so I shrugged my shoulders and said that it's nothing.
He went inside his room leaving me and Chierie outside. “Are you bothered by something Miss?” Chierie said. I just smiled and said that it was nothing. She smiled faintly. “If you need to talk to someone, I'm always here to listen. It's late, so please have a rest and goodnight, Miss Liern”, she bowed and left.
I decided to go inside the room and look outside the window. I sighed looking at the dock, I'm so confused right now. So many questions inside my head, but I don't have the answer, I can't have an answer. If you were alive I would've asked you. I smiled at the thought and decided to go to bed. We're finally investigating Cyul's case tomorrow and I will make sure to find the answers that I'm seeking. Just wait and I'll stop you.
“You look bothered, Miss Witch?” she said as she watched the burning room. “Who are you? I'm starting to doubt everything”, I looked at her, fire reflected on her eyes. “Really, you're asking that. You know who I am since the beginning. Did something happen?”, I bottled my breath. “Your name. It was not written on the will”, she just smiled and I watched as the darkness enveloped the whole surroundings.
I opened my eyes and saw a familiar figure sitting on the sofa near the window. “It's rude to barge in someone's room, Clee” he looked at me and smiled faintly. He looks worried. “What's wrong?” I asked him. He looked outside the window and stayed quiet for a minute. “I just thought that I should hear your thoughts. You look worried and you have something to say to me, right?” he said still looking at the window. “You look sleepy and tired so I didn't bother to tell you my worries”, I said in a low voice. I just don't want to be a burden to him. He's a smart guy and he can probably solve many cases alone but I was there making mistakes, following my emotions, and complicating things.
