From the upcoming chapters, the story will finally start from where it all began - the real J-Hope and Yuna's story. The memories that shaped everything.
...---...
It was one fine evening...
At the Military Academy, where only the strongest were chosen to train, the sound of swords clashing echoed through the air. The soldiers - handpicked to protect the borders of their Queendom, Pyrona - were engaged in fierce duels. Others cheered them on from the sidelines, while some rested after an exhausting day of rigorous training.
Shadows danced on the ground, swift and sharp, locked in mock combat. But above them...
Dragons.
Majestic beasts with wings wide enough to cover the sky circled above - soaring, fighting, roaring.
Yes, you heard it right. A Queendom... of Dragons.
Their leader? A woman. Their most powerful and beautiful dragon after generations - Jung Yuna.
She inherited the title after her parents - both formidable rulers - passed their powers to her before their untimely deaths. Her father, once a proud dragon and the Commander-in-Chief of Pyrona, was taken by a cruel curse - a curse that stripped him of his dragon form. Even with all his strength, without his dragon... he died in battle.
Her mother followed soon after, unable to bear the loss of her mate.
In Pyrona, it was tradition - written in blood and history - that women ruled. Queens, warriors, protectors. Even after marriage, they kept their names, their power, their homes. They married not for politics, but for love - their destined mates, chosen by fate and powerful lineage.
Over time, people followed this path. Women led families, but not with oppression - with equality and respect.
Yuna's parents had been no exception. Her mother, the Queen. Her father, the fierce Commander. Their love story was known across the Queendom. And now, their daughter stood as the rightful ruler.
Back to the present...
At the Military Academy, men and women alike trained fiercely. Hand-to-hand combat, sword duels - all essential despite their dragon powers. There was a reason behind this, a rule carved in stone:
"We must learn from history and prepare for the future," Queen Yuna had declared countless times.
True to her words, she visited the Academy regularly. Today, like always, she arrived dressed in black and blue attire - simple yet commanding. Even when busy with royal duties, she made time to observe her soldiers, sometimes correcting their stances herself.
By her side was her trusted Flamebearer, Jisoo - her right hand, her voice in her absence, the only one entrusted to relay her orders when she wasn't present.
Yuna herself had undergone the harshest training - those who once trained beside her now served under her, loyal and proud.
As Queen, she ensured her people were cared for - never hungry, never weak - but ready. Ready to fight, to starve if necessary.
"In war, soldiers either fight and survive or starve and perish," she often reminded them.
Her Queendom thrived - no one slept hungry. But no one was left untrained either.
"Separate the powerful from those who still need practice. Pair them accordingly. I want no one left behind. Everyone must reach the same level," Yuna commanded, her sharp eyes scanning the training ground.
Jisoo nodded respectfully. "Understood, Your Majesty. I'll relay your orders to Commander-in-Chief Lisa."
Yuna observed closely - no detail escaping her notice.
Suddenly, a voice called out, breaking the hum of training.
"Your Highness!"
A man approached, panting heavily. His uniform marked him as one of the high-ranking officials.
"Minister Park Bogum?" Jisoo exclaimed, turning towards him. "What happened?"
Yuna simply raised one eyebrow, waiting.
"Your Highness. Lady Flamebearer." He bowed low, right hand pressed to his chest. His voice trembled with urgency. "There's been an attack... on one of our north-east villages. Sunfield, in the state of Namsul few days ago. Our forces retaliated, but the attackers withdrew."
Jisoo frowned. "But didn't we already send the Queen's Whisper to investigate this morning?"
Bogum nodded quickly, still catching his breath. "Yes, Lady Flamebearer. But... we just got to know that they returned last night. Worse than before."
Yuna's gaze darkened, jaw clenching. Her voice was icy. "Explain."
"Masked figures in black struck after midnight. Many villagers... didn't survive. Over half our stationed soldiers are dead or wounded. We had only 400 troops in that area, and... Your Highness... they vanished. Into thin air. Whenever we struck back... they disappeared. That's all my spy told."
His words hung heavy in the air.
"What are your orders, Your Majesty?" Bogum asked cautiously.
Yuna took a long breath, her sharp eyes burning with silent fury. "Summon 1,000 soldiers. Ready them in the Royal Courtyard. We will leave immediately. I will handle this matter personally."
"There's... more," Bogum hesitated. "On my way here, I received reports - similar attacks occurred in other kingdoms."
Yuna's eyes narrowed dangerously. "I want a detailed report. Names, locations, everything. Monitor their responses. We may need to arrange an emergency summit with other Kingdoms."
Jisoo, reading her Queen's silent signal, nodded. "I'll alert Commander-in-Chief Lisa and the high officials to prepare."
Yuna's voice left no room for argument. "Everyone in the Royal Courtyard. Before nightfall."
Late Evening.
The Royal Courtyard buzzed with quiet determination. Soldiers stood in formation - confident, disciplined, prepared for whatever awaited them.
Only 1,000 of them - the best. Nobles and Ministers gathered nearby, some to accompany their Queen, others to witness their departure.
Then... she arrived.
With every step, the air shifted. The courtyard fell silent. Only the sharp echoes of her high leather boots rang through the space.
Head held high, shoulders squared, her piercing eyes scanned the courtyard, ensuring every soul was present.
In perfect unison, they bowed - right hands pressed to chests, weapons lowered.
"Long live the Queen."
Yuna reached the front. Her voice, powerful and steady, sliced through the silence.
"Stand tall... You serve no ordinary crown."
A wave of pride rippled through them as heads rose, eyes shining, resolve burning bright.
"You all know the situation," Yuna declared. "I want fire in your eyes and speed in your work. You have your orders. I expect nothing but perfection. Now... we take flight to Namsul."
Everyone was already assigned for their specific work like helping to build shelters. Helping the injured ones.
They would fly - the fastest route - keeping the situation concealed until it was under control. No rumors, no panic.
Lisa, her trusted Commander-in-Chief, and her subordinate Lee Jung Suk stood ready. The 1,000 soldiers - prepared.
Jisoo remained behind - Flamebearer, protector of the castle in the Queen's absence.
Yuna's form shifted, scales rippling into em into a breathtaking blue dragon.
With a mighty roar that echoed through the skies, she soared upward - a symbol of power and vengeance.
The soldiers followed swiftly, dragons filling the twilight sky as they raced toward Namsul.
