Chapter 4

Megan stood in her bedroom deep in thought, she just couldn't believe how a woman like Claire landed such a man like Alessandro.

"Meggie…" she heard her mother call as she entered the room

"Mommy don't you think this is strange" Megan turned to her mother who was now sitted on her hed

"What is?" Charlotte opened and magazine

"How come the De Luca didn't stop the wedding when the veil was lifted?" Megan walked towards her mother

"You're right sweetheart, do you think there is something wrong?" Charlotte raised her gaze to meet with Megan's

"What's even weird is that the De Luca chose to marry in a family like the Dior's" Megan fell in deep thought

"Darling you're right, even if the Dior's are rich, they're nothing compared to the De Luca" Charlotte closed the magazine

"The most important thing is how do I steal like Alessandro from Claire" Megan smirked along with her mother.

After spending half an hour with my mother I decided to hug her and leave but I whispered something inside her ear :"Since I'm no longer in the nest, you can leave easily. I'll talk with Christine and Cameron if you don't have a place to live in"

My mom only smiled as she walked me out where I found the driver still waiting.

"Why didn't you leave?" I asked

"I'm now your personal driver madam" he replied and it's only nodded as I entered the car

"Madam should we return home now?" the driver asked and I raised my head

"Can you please take me down town?" I asked and he simply nodded

"Uhh… what's your name?" I awkwardly asked

"Marcus madam" He smiled as I only nodded

I opened Wechat and texted one of my other best friends Diana. She texted back that she was home and I was greatful.

As I was about to turn off my phone, a message popped up saying :DON'T GO ADVERTISING YOURSELF ALL DAY, U'RE STILL MY WOMAN!!

How did he know where I was and that I was not at home?

Soon we arrived downtown and I directed Marcus to Diana's place.

"Wait here please" I said as I got off the car rushing upstairs

After she left, Marcus received a call from Alessandro.

"You're a bastard you know that right?" Alessandro said from the other side

"I'm just meeting my best friend's gorgeous bride" Marcus chuckled as he played with his phone

"Why did you tell her your name?" Alessandro's cold voice sounded

"Relax, in time she'll know that I'm not a driver and that I'm her jerk of a husband's best friend" Marcus chuckled

"You should be more like Ryder" Alessandro groaned

"Because Ryder gave you the idea of making her your own jerk" Marcus pouted before he heard Alessandro hung up

After I entered Diana's apartment, I found her sitted on the couch wearing a face mask, holding a bowl of popcorn.

"What's with the popcorn?" I asked as I approached her

"I'm getting ready to hear the story of why you ended up as De Luca's bride instead of Kim" Diana gave me a mused smile

"Gossip much" I chuckled as I sat beside her

"Oh you know I'm the gossip master in the friend group but I'll never in my entire life gossip what goes in our friend group" she said while I dipped my hand in the bowl

"You should have made chips" I mocked as I tossed some popcorn in my mouth

"Are they not giving you food in the De Luca family" She mocked back as we started to talk with me telling her everything besides Alessandro knowing my true identity

"Wow… that's wow…" I stared at her as she remained speechless

"I still don't know why Kim ran away" I sighed in dilemma

"Claire… I too don't know but I'm here for you. Best friends since kindergarten and till forever" Diana pulled me into a tight embrace

"Thanks" I muttered

I spent the entire day with Diana watching movies and even having lunch with her. I even listened to her gossiping about people and celebrities and my so-called husband.

I checked the time it was around 04:30 pm, my gosh I had spent so much time with Diana that I didn't realise it. I felt bad for leaving Marcus all alone downstairs.

"Didi… I should go. What would the De Luca think of me?" I said as I gathered my things

"Let me walk you out" Diana said as I stood staring at her, she only wore her tiny cute puppy pyjamas

"Let's go" She pushed me and when we arrived Marcus got out of the car smiling and I turned to Diana who was staring at Marcus like he was a celebrity

I couldn't blame her Marcus was pretty handsome, he would come second to Alessandro though. Maybe he should have taken modelling or acting rather than a driver.

"Diana this is Marcus and vice versa" I introduced as the exchange greetings

"Madam, master has been trying to contact you" Marcus said and I turned to my phone

"How come I didn't…" My words trailed off as I stared at the number of missed calls and messages on my phone

"Oh shit… Diana I'll see you soon" with that I rushed into the car along with Marcus before we dashed back to the mansion.

When we reached the mansion, I was scared to get off the car but I gathered up my confidence and got out.

When I entered the mansion, June rushed to my with a worried expression.

"First master is waiting for you" She said quietly while I just nodded

I nervously began climbing the stairs, a million thoughts ran through my head. I had barely been married for a day and I was now in trouble gosh! As I approached the bedroom door, I found Alessandro standing by the window smoking.

"Why didn't you answer my calls?" His deep voice resonated across the room

"My was on silent" I replied as I stood by the doorway

"How did your family respond to our marriage" He asked as he crushed the cigarette on an ash tray

"That's non of your concern" I decided to be bold, I had no idea why people feared this man

He gave me a devil like smirk as he pocketed his hands in his gown as he approached me slightly bending to my side.

"My wife… my concern…" he whispered his warm breath radiating softly on my ear sending shivers down my spine

"This isn't a love marriage" I managed to say while he brought his face in front of mine

"Do you hate me darling?" His voice was deep and husky making me feel a wierd sensation

"Do you think I'll love you?" I asked instead causing him to smirk

"If I love you why can't you?" He asked his eyes boring into mine

"I don't even know you, this marriage wasn't between me" I said before I heard him chuckle

"Get used to it, you'll forever be my wife" with that he crushed his lips onto mine, I managed to pushed him off but he gripped my chin fiercely kissing me until I was out of breath

"Never disobey my commands, you don't want to see my dark side"
