chapter 2: The girl/aspen

2 WEEKS EARLIER

Aspen was sitting in the darkest corner of her room with her hood up throwing knives at the wall across from her. She had locked herself in her room after killing a neighborhood bully "Stacy", her entire family and all of her neighbors, the only time she would leave her room was at night, so she wouldn't get caught

sometimes she would come across people but she would simply kill them as well, Aspen lived in a semi large city in Idaho called Post Falls, it was a strange city to the other residents, people going missing at least once a week. Obviously Aspen knew it wasn't the city but her who had caused the people to go missing sometimes if she was hungry enough she would eat the remains of her victims, every night she would search for her next victim but would never go past the skatepark because, of the cameras they had set up nearby, Aspen was on her nightly search when she saw a group of search lights around the corner, she quickly hid behind a nearby tree, she was surprised by the search party none had ever been near her neighborhood "their catching on" she thought to herself "im gonna have to move, but to where?" she watched carefully not to be seen as the searchlights passed the tree again they seemed to have gone so Aspen dashed back to her house hoping no one would see her.

The night passed quickly Aspen was deep in thought sitting on her bed when she got an idea she would go to school, she was always homeschooled so no one would know her

it would get her off the radar for at least a couple weeks she would have to think of something else later, she quickly hid all her knives, changed out of her bloody clothes, took a quick shower, and gathered school supplies from upstairs Aspen double checked the mirror and made sure she washed out all the blood, she made sure no one was around and headed to the school.

Aspen made sure she was in class before everyone else so she could have the back corner seat, she put up her hood as the students entered a larger kid walked up to her "that's my seat" he said trying to sound bigger than he already was Aspen let out a low growl while simultaneously flashing a knife into view from under her sleeve so only he could see it, he backed up immediately, Aspen could read people very well and could see the fear in his eyes as he spoke " you know I didn't want that seat anyway" he said "I'll take this one" he sat down at the farthest desk from Aspen. Aspen realized that the whole class saw her growl and make the boy back off apparently his name was Steve and he was the school bully, everyone saw how scared he was which made them scared as well, even the teacher seemed a bit scared, it was like that for a while, but as time went by their suspicion grew Aspen could see it and decided to go on a victim search that night.

Aspen sat in her room as it got darker, she changed into some ripped jeans and her last hoodie, her least favorite it was pink and said sweet in white letters, but what she hated lthe most was that it showed the bottom half of her stomach, but it was what she had.

Aspen was on her search and was coming up to the skatepark, she saw someone leaned against the wall she readied her knife but as she got closer she saw it was a boy about her age maybe a year or two younger, she saw blood on his hands, face, and clothes, she crouched beside him and put the knife away she shook the boy awake his hood shaded his face all she could see was his beautiful chocolate brown eyes she was panicking and started to ask about the blood and how he got here but he didn't seem to hear her, he just stared at her until he passed out again.

Aspen didn't want to kill him and she also didn't want to leave him there so she scooped him into her arms, he was surprisingly light as she carried him to her house.

At the house she set him down on her bed in her room, she searched around and found a bloody hoodie and some ripped jeans she took the blood from the hoodie and wrote "to cut" across it and set the clothes at the foot of her bed.
