When Life Crosses Boundaries: Married to My Sister's Husband
episode 3
Malhotra Mansion – Bedroom
First night after the wedding. The silence is deafening.
Aarohi (fl)
Is this… my room now?
Arjun(ml)
No.
It was her room.
Now, it’s just a place with two strangers in it.
Aarohi looks around. Nothing has changed.
Naina’s perfume lingers in the air. Her scarf still hanging on the mirror.
The baby is asleep in the next room.
Aarohi (fl)
You didn’t touch anything…
Since she died.
Arjun(ml)
Touching anything would mean accepting that she’s gone.
That you’re here instead.
Aarohi (fl)
I didn’t ask for this.
Arjun(ml)
But you still said yes.
Married me. Took her place.
Why?
Aarohi (fl)
Because your son stopped crying when I held him.
Because I looked into his eyes and saw her.
Because I owed Naina… and myself.
Arjun(ml)
Don’t say her name like you understand what I lost.
You weren’t there when she was dying!
You didn’t hold her hand!
She kept asking for you… and you were gone! 😡
Aarohi (fl)
I wasn’t “gone.”
I was running from Ritesh.
He… locked me in our flat for days.
He said if I stepped out, he’d kill me.
Arjun(ml)
(pause):
I… didn’t know.
Aarohi (fl)
No one did.
Except Naina.
She begged me to leave him.
I was hiding in a shelter when you called about her.
Arjun(ml)
(quietly):
And I blamed you.
For not being there.
For not saving her.
Aarohi (fl)
I couldn’t even save myself.
Arjun(ml)
(bitterly):
Still… it had to be you.
The sister with scars and silence.
Now wearing her bangles… lying in her bed.
Aarohi (fl)
(voice trembling):
I wear them because I lost her too.
And because your son doesn’t care whose blood I carry — only whose arms feel safe.
Arjun(ml)
(steps closer, tension rising):
Don’t act like a martyr, Aarohi.
You didn’t save her. You didn’t save me.
Now you want to save him?
Aarohi (fl)
(defensive, stepping back):
Yes. Because you’re too busy mourning to see your son still alive.
You sleep with grief. I sleep with guilt.
We’re not a couple. We’re just two ghosts in one room.
Arjun(ml)
(angry, but voice lowers):
Then why does it still bother me…
when you cry silently and pretend you’re strong?
Aarohi turns away, her shoulders shaking.
Arjun stares — angry, hurt, confused
Arjun(ml)
(softly):
Go to sleep.
The baby will wake up soon.
Aarohi (fl)
(whispers):
He’s the only one who doesn’t hate me in this house.
The light switches off.
Two people lie on either side of the bed —
not touching, not speaking…
but carrying storms inside their hearts
That's all for today bye 👋👋👋
