A bright beam of light from the shining sun in the middle of the morning, passing through the window, made of glass like trying to warm Hanabi's cold and sick body, yet only did almost nothing but to hurt his already suffering sight. Isolated from everyone to avoid the worse, his lying from somewhere in the orphanage where the sick only can accommodate. Can't open his eyes as it only worsen his condition, feeling suffocated, felt extreme coldness while having high temperature, barely able to even sit down just to eat his meal, even if he could, just from seating down he became dizzy. All he could do is to wait for an aid to come and visit.
Not to disappoint, the door gently opens and close back immediately, indicates that someone just came in. Hanabi can't use any magic due to being sick, and can only wish that it was Mother Lilith as even having a little something to think about gives him even a little stress already worsen his sickness. A cold, soft and mildly wet palm touched his entire forehead, telling that an adult is the one that was around, Hanabi can't risk looking as he fear it might worsen his condition.
"Do you feel any better?" a gentle voice of a woman talk to him, it was Mother Lilith, since Hanabi recognizes the sound.
"No" having to speak low and few, is the only best thing he can do.
As Mother Lilith is doing something, she knows well how worse the condition Hanabi is having at the moment, and she also know that Hanabi wants to know what really is happening to him.
"about your condition." as Mother Lilith opens the pouch she brought along.
"it was said that your fever is sever, yet not dangerous, so as long as you rest properly you will be alright soon."
For strange reason he's bit skeptical, not because he thought Mother Lilith was lying, but because Hanabi felt she said very little. Even though he knew mother Lilith talk with few words, he never remember she sounds too reserved was never that less informative, than she used to be.
Mother Lilith then proceeded to left, after she made Hanabi take some medicinal herb from her pouch, and said nothing else important. Hanabi was curious about the truth of his condition but can't speak much, and even if he try, the room is now already empty of her, living him inside isolated again.
A summer wind blows at the wide plains outside the orphanage, at the morning of the summer days, while the sky is almost empty of clouds making the scenery of the plains beautiful yet voiding and quiet. At last, the freedom has finally regained, after the days of nightmare rolls by, the one he thought he'd lost is almost finally he could able to retake. Almost!
The joy to be able go outside, serves as the testament of healing, yet he can't still become the child that he used to be. Walking outside alone made him felt slighty exhausted, his destination is to mother Lilith's office as he was summoned to be there as soon as possible.
Never as observing as he used to be, too cautious about his condition, unable to think like he used to, as it only makes his balance worse while walking, not to mention he can't even run as it only makes him dizzy.
As he reach the destination, as he opens the door after his knock, he came inside seeing Mother Lilith busy of her paperworks, despite her age Hanabi still amaze she can work almost tirelessly and all. Forget all what he's thought, he's too sick to wait for Mother Lilith's order to sit-down, which was she understandably allowed.
"I have come from your call, as I was told." not knowing what to do, Hanabi didn't wait for Mother Lilith to initiate the conversation.
Mother Lilith paused a second to but then proceeded to continue her work, Hanabi didn't care, as he already announced himself clear.
After a short while, out of nowhere, mother Lilith cleaned the middle of her desk and put aside the paper she's working on and took took a sigh and rest herself mentally. Despite having a fever at the moment Hanabi understand what mother Lilith is going through as he look at him in pity. shortly after, she open one of her desk's drawer and grab something, She then put it to the desk which Hanabi saw. It was a book that Hanabi perceives as a journal, too old, beat up and Weathered one. Hanabi shift his attention back to mother Lilith whom already about to willing to start the conversation.
"this book is a journal that once belong to a very good friend of mine." as Mother Lilith holds the journal tightly like not wanting to let go.
As sick as he is at the moment, Hanabi can only do is to listen at the moment.
"do you wanna know the story of my friends?" Mother Lilith ask.
Hanabi don't know if Mother Lilith knew she wasn't hiding her emotion, but he got curious, he thought, it's the first time he saw mother Lilith like this.
"Yes!! Please do." Hanabi respond.
"OK..... The story begins in one night..." Mother Lilith start her story yet to Hanabi, she sounded like not wanting all of it at all. Despite it, the story still continues.

"which then turned her into someone like you!?" Hanabi jokingly added.
"That's another story.. But yes." Mother Lilith answer.
"Where is she now, Mother Lilith?" Hanabi ask.
"She's now in her permanent rest." Mother Lilith answer.
Hanabi felt little awkward since he did not expect the answer.
"What with that book?" Hanabi ask wanting the gauche to end.
"I met by fate the boy long after her passing, we talk about her that made him decide to give me this journal as this served as the countenance to their friendship."
"what was written inside it Mother Lilith?" Hanabi letting his curiosity take over.
"not exactly sure. But base on what I thought about after reading this, they both discover a secret form of ancient magic."
Dumbfounded from the truth, Hanabi unsurprisingly got silence not knowing what to respond.
"yet unfinished, the book already has its basics for it to be learned." Mother Lilith then proceeded to put it close to Hanabi, meaning that she wants Hanabi to get it.
"why me?" Hanabi anxiously ask.
"I don't expect you to learn it soon. Perhaps, I'm giving you this now because I want to, as tomorrow I know my decision will change and not do this." Hanabi sensed Mother Lilith didn't answer him, yet let it go as he know this is complicated for her.
