SOUL CONNECTION

It started on a rainy night.

The kind of rain that soaks everything in silence.

The sky was dark, the windows blurred, and I dreamt something new...

sunrise light touched my face, and I found myself lying on my desk.

I blinked, confused. A paper was tucked loosely into pages of my old sketchbook.

it was still warm-like it had just been drawn.

I slowly took it in my hands.  the lines were faint, but sure. Like they had poured out of someone else's hands.

A boy.

I blinked, staring at the drawing. My fingers didn't remember making it.

But the feeling in my chest said something else.

I stared at drawing without blinking for what felt hours. That paper in the eyes made me feel something...That day i feel everything...off. The people around me moved normally, but I was stuck -staring at him -in flashes, in daydreams that weren't mine.

"𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐀𝐒!"

A voice shouted from downstairs.**

I jolted up, snapping back to reality like I'd just surfaced from underwater.

"Did you pack your things?" my mom yelled again.

My fingers lingered on the paper tracing his face one more time. I glanced one last time and answered my mom.

"Yes, mom I packed everything" I called back from my room. I slipped the paper into my sketchbook, held it closed under my arms, and walked downstairs.

We were moving to the city.

I traveled to city in silence with my thoughts deeper than the stillness outside, while the car passed empty roads and open fields...

My eyes are fixed on the passing view, but my mind keeps circling to the boy- that dream-the eyes I couldn't forget.

        | Why did it feel so real? why did he seem ... familiar? |

The image of him, the sound of his voice, the ache in his wors-it was all too share but to be just a dream.

...   | It's really a dream? |...

After hours of driving thought quiet stretches of highway, the city finally rose before us- a blur of noise, buildings, and people. The sky had turned golden by time we reached the apartment.

we began unpacking-cardboard boxes filled with the kitchen plates, boxes filled with kitchen plates, rolled-up bedsheets, and the old kettle mom refused to throw away. I moved slowly, my body tried but my thoughts still forgotten dreams. I came to my room just as the sky turned a deep shade blue, like velvet dipped in ink. The weight of the day pressed against my shoulder, and I didn't bother to change or switch the light. I dropped into my bed, my body heavy with exhaustion and I slowly closed eyes.

And I slowly opened my eyes-but it wasn't my world because I was standing in middle of lake.

In my dream, I was standing alone, surrounded by still water. The moonlight reflected like crocked silver on its surface. I looked around, slowly turning in place the lake was quiet, the surface still, like glass holding sky. Tress stood in the distance, their silhouettes glowing under the moon light. That's when hit me - this is a dream.MY breath caught as I looked up ...and meet a gaze.
