You cry out in frustration while trying to drag your trusted Stallion that had collapsed due to hunger and exhaustion, through an abandoned road.
As far as you could tell, you had been walking without rest for over a week now, and the last of your food and water supply ran out 3 days ago. Your belly was grumbling, your legs were aching and you wanted nothing more than to turn back and run to the nearest village or town.

Why don't you do that then?
You know full well I won't stop you.
The same annoying voice that you had been in your head ever since your rebirth into this world jeered.

Did we not agree that you would not read my thoughts without my permission Cassandra? (You try as much as you could to keep your voice neutral)

First off we never finished that discussion and second are you really trying to avoid my question? (She said in a singsong voice)

Even though you couldn't see it, you could clearly imagine her rolling her eyes.

Because even if I choose to stop "somebody" will still possess my body and make me walk all the way there anyway. At least this way I have some choice in the matter.

That was not a satisfactory answer, but you knew Cassandra well enough by now expect anything else.
Abandoning the horse you decide to go the next few miles on foot and after a while you began regretting your decision.

You continued with a resolve to keep walking for as long as your legs could carry you, and you were surprised that despite how tired your bones were you did not collapse like your horse did. You suppose you have Cassandra to thank for that.
After a long time you came to the middle of a very large but abandoned town with a very tall and good-looking Castle standing in the middle of it.

Yes. And if you value your life I highly suggest you take serious care.
(She said bluntly)
Rather than question her reasons, you decide to simply obey her command and you carefully walked through the town and entered the Castle through its open doors.

Shouldn't a castle of this magnitude be better protected? And are you sure it is okay to just walk into someone else's property like this?

The Castle has been abandoned for over thirty years Vladur. The only people in it are already dead.
Refusing to take her at her word, you mustered the last of your strength to pull out your sword and cautiously entered the Castle one step at a time. Once inside you were forced to your knees as an unexplainable energy began to fill you faster than you could even breathe. By the time you could stand all your fatigue had disappeared and your body was glowing a faint gold.

Bane cast my dear. (She said in ecstasy). Raw unfiltered bane cast. Why else did you think I asked you to come here?

You dragged me all the way out here simply because you wanted to feel raw bane cast
(This time the anger was clear in your voice)

Calm down my champion. Even I am not so callus.

I'm serious. If I wanted to feel raw bane cast that bad, all I had to do was to kill you and refine the bane in your body. That should have been enough to keep me going for a week or so.

There are some things need to tell you, and I you need to be in top form if you are to listen.
Surprised by seriousness in her voice, you slowly removed your armor and began exploring the floors of the abandoned castle.
You have to say for an abandoned castle, the place was not only well maintained and cleaned but it also had every considerable thing that you could expect from a real castle. There were coins in its treasury, beds and blankets in its bedroom and armor and weapons in its armory. But perhaps the most surprising of all was that when you opened the dining room the food in it still looked as good as the day it was made.

If this place was abandoned for as long as you said it was, how is it that the castle is so well maintained.

I made sure that nothing in here went bad just as I made sure you were here to see all of it.

Not much. Only they started as humble Fae shepherds in the northern mountain who eventually they learned how to tame dragons and this helped them built an Empire 1 DE that dominated the continent for over 400 years.

All of a sudden your head began to ache you in such a way that you felt as though your skull was being split into two.

All I know is that at the height of the empire some rouge mages performed a dark ritual that unleashed an ancient evil into our world. This brought about a long disastrous war that lasted for a decade. Finally, at the final battle of Ash mark the Fae defeated the great evil at a costly battle that cost them the lives of nine out of ten of their entire population. When the other Nations saw that the Sumerians had been reduced by the great war they all took that chance to assert their Independence. What is more they all banded together against their former masters and on 416 DE the grand alliance launched a five-year campaign against the old Sumerian empire. In the final battle the last Sumerian King burnt his entire castle to the ground rather than surrender to the enemies.

Just like that your body stood up from the dinning and began walking towards the throne room on its own. It walked into a room with a silver door and in their you saw a large King sized bed on it was something you thought you would never see again ever since you were reborn in this fantasy medieval world.
