Janet’S Magical Powers

Janet’S Magical Powers

Janet’s Magical Powers

In a big, beautiful town, there was a very special school called Daycare University. It wasn’t just for babies or big kids—it was for everyone, from preschoolers to college students! And at the center of it all was a kind, clever 5th grader named Janet.

Janet lived with her loving family: Her mom, Julie, and dad, Jacob, who were always funny and supportive. Her older brother, James, a goofy 9th grade gamer and nice. And the little twins, Jack and Jill, both in 1st grade. “Good morning, Mommy!” the twins said cheerfully. “Good morning, Jack and Jill!” Julie said. Until James, Jack and Jill were worried about Dr. Brown that he’s gonna do something to them, their mother gave them advice before they left for school, until they feel better and they eat breakfast. Janet’s best friend was Sally, the funniest girl in school. Every morning, Janet, Sally, James, Jack and Jill take the bus to school together, laughing and sharing snacks. But their school wasn’t perfect…

It had a big problem. A mean, loud, and nasty problem named Dr. Brown—the principal. At first, he was a teacher from the last five years, he was beating and abusing kids, until he got fired and he beat and kills the original principal (Dr. Smith): kind, funny and supportive, until he become the principal and he started to change the rules of the school. He stomped through the hallways, yelled at students, and even fired teachers for no reason at all! Last year, Dr. Brown burst into Ms. Anna’s classroom. Ms. Anna was sweet and told the best stories—but Dr. Brown didn’t care. “You’re fired!” he roared. The class gasped. Dr. Brown picks up Ms. Anna and kicks her out of the school and threw her things at her. One day, Ms. Bridge became their new teacher. She was just as kind, a story teller, and makes learning fun. Dr. Brown came back again. “What have you been learning?” he barked. One boy stood up nervously. “We learned spelling through a poem!”“Oh really?” mocked Dr. Brown. “What poem would that be?” The whole class sang:“Mrs. D, Mrs. I, Mrs. F-F-I, Mrs. C, Mrs. U, Mrs. L-T-Y!” Dr. Brown exploded and slammed the desk and said to Ms. Bridge… “WHY ARE ALL THESE WOMEN MARRIED?! YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO TEACH SPELLING, NOT POETRY!” “I’m just making this more fun, Dr. Brown” said Ms. Bridge. But Dr. Brown yelled at her again, “I don’t care, it’s not allowed in this school, moving on to math” Then, he asked a math question. “If Johnny has 3 apples and I take 1, how many are left?” “Um… one” “WRONG!” then he started to yell….”IF LITTLE JOHNNY HAS THREE APPLES AND I TAKE ONE AWAY, HOW MANY DOES HE HAVE LEFT?” “Uh… four?”“TO THE TIMEOUT CORNER!” he screamed, grabbing the student and throwing her into the corner. Dr. Brown was out of control. “Get me a glass of water!” he shouted at Sally.

But Sally had a sneaky idea…..“Hmmmm, I’m gonna put the newt in the cup” She placed a newt in the glass of water. “This’ll teach him!” “Here it is, Dr. Brown” winks at the camera. Dr. Brown took the cup and barked another question.“What’s 2 x 2?”“Four,” a girl answered. “Correct,” he said.

But just as he took a sip, SPLASH! He saw the newt and SCREAMED!“WHO PUT THIS LIZARD IN MY CUP?!” He turned to Janet. “It was YOU, wasn’t it?!” “Me? No!” said Janet. “I bet one of your friends helped you do it, right?” asked Dr. Brown. Janet can see Sally’s face of guilt, but she wasn’t tell on her best friend, so she said, “I didn’t do it and neither any of my friends.” Ms. Bridge stood up. “Janet didn’t do anything and not her friends!” Dr. Brown growled and

GRABBED Ms. Bridge by the ears. Ms. Bridge screamed, “Ow, that hurts” “I don’t care” Dr. Brown shouted. That’s when Janet had had ENOUGH and she got up to her sit.

“Janet, don’t……” Sally said. She was scared of what’s gonna happened to her or what Dr. Brown is going to do with her. Dr. Brown continued pulling and yelling at Ms. Bridge. “PUT HER DOWN, YOU STUPID, OLD BULLY!” Janet shouted. Everyone froze and gasp. Dr. Brown dropped Ms. Bridge in shock. “HOW ARE YOU? YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO TO THIS SCHOOL, YOU ARE EXPELLED…..” he continued yelling at Janet, But something strange was happening, Janet felt a spark in her eyes. A strange electricity. In her mind she whispered, “Tip… tip over…”The cup with the newt tipped on its own. The newt leapt onto Dr. Brown’s jacket—then his neck—then his face! “AHHHH! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!”

The class erupted in laughter. Dr. Brown threw the newt flew into the air—and a student caught it and gave it back to Sally.

Dr. Brown turned red. “WHO DID THAT?! WAS IT YOU, JANET?!” “That couldn’t been her, she was standing right there,” said Ms. Bridge calmly. The students agreed and murmured. “Hmph, Very well” he complained. “After you little go to lunch and do some fun teaching,” I’ll be watch ALL OF YOU! Especially you, Janet,” he grumbled. “Have a great four day weekend, you little munchkins!” He walked out and slammed the door. *school bell ring* “ok, kids, you may all go to lunch” said Ms. Bridge. The students went to lunch. “Thanks for not telling on me,” Sally whispered. “No problem,” Janet smiled. “Are you coming?” Sally asked, “You go ahead, I have to show and tell Ms. Bridge something. I’ll meet you there.” “Ok, see ya” Sally waved goodbye.

Alone with Ms. Bridge, she said, “Ms. Bridge, I have to show and tell you

something. Watch this…”, With a glance, she tipped over a cup. Ms. Bridge’s eyes widened and speechless. “I move it with my eyes, am I strange?” Janet asked. “No, it’s amazing! How did you get those powers?” asked Ms. Bridge. But Janet don’t know how to explain it. Ms. Bridge gave Janet an advice, after she did, she said, “after school, you should practice more.” “Yeah, thanks for the advice, Ms. Bridge.” said Janet. “See ya later, Ms. Bridge” Janet waved goodbye to Ms. Bridge and went to the lunchroom. After school, Janet, Sally, James, Jack and Jill took the bus home.

Sally said, *sigh* “I’m so glad that we’ve get a four day weekend.” “Yeah” Janet agreed.

“Same here” James agreed. “Us too” agreed Jack and Jill. “Yesterday, when Dr. Brown came to our classroom, he punch a kid in the face and his face bleeding and he has to go to the nurse, then he went home.” said Jill. “Yeah!” agreed Jack. “Also, Dr. Brown said a few cuss words in my classroom and sane with the college students, on the third floor” said James. “That scared me” Janet comfort him. The bus stops at Sally’s house, “there’s my house, see you guys” Sally waved goodbye and Janet, James, Jack and Jill waved back to her. After Janet ate dinner and doing her bedtime routine, she wanted to tell her mom about something. “Mom….” called Janet.

“Yes, Janet!” answered Julie. “I have to show and tell you something, I have telekinesis, watch this….” She tipped over a cup to prove it. Julie gasped. “I had powers too… but lost them. Dr. Brown yelled at me once too.” “You did?” asked Janet.“Yes.” answered Julie. Her mother gave her advice and tells her about how did she get powers.

“I used my powers to trick him just like you, but I didn’t get him fired!” “I wonder if I can try to fired him, too” Janet thought. “It’s not going to be easy, Janet, but you can try to do it” said Julie. They hugged. “Goodnight, sweetheart.” Julie said and kiss her on the forehead. “Goodnight, mom.” said Janet. Julie turns off her lights and close the door. At 11:00pm, she couldn’t sleep. She had nightmares about Dr. Brown yelling at her.

So she quite sang from Matilda the

Musical…..until she drifted off to sleep. The next morning, Janet practiced every day during the four-day weekend. When she was done, she said, “I’m ready for you, Dr. Brown.” Then at night, she fell asleep and thinking of getting Dr. Brown back. Then came Friday—the last day of school. “Attention, everyone come to the auditorium, NOW” Dr. Brown gathered everyone into the auditorium. “You’ve all FAILED!” he announced. “Your teachers taught you WRONG!” “What? We’ve been working hard” said one of the students (blond hair boy). Dr. Brown started to get furious, “No! Why would the teachers taught y’all fun stuff, if they don’t followed the rules? Nobody should do fun learning, it’s against the law.” “That’s not true!” said one teacher. “We helped these students grow!”

“Right!” said one of the teachers (shirt and a skirt). “How is it illegal? Ok, listen people, can we just talk about how STUPID this guy is right now? This is not how school should be like it use to be, like Dr. Smith didn’t abuse children or fired teachers, he’s a great man and I know who killed him, it was Dr. Brown because I saw the camera footage…..” (Dramatic music). Everyone gasp. All of the students and teachers started to complain about it to Dr. Brown of why did he killed Dr. Smith? Dr. Brown slammed the desk, “I’VE HAD ENOUGH!” Dr. Brown yelled. Until the room got silent, “YOU’RE ALL EXPELLED! YOU’RE ALL FIRED!” Dr. Brown continued yelling at the students and teachers…..Janet was ready. She focused hard… and a piece of chalk floated into the air. “Look, Look, the chalk is moving” said one of the students (in pigtails).“It’s about to write something” said one of the teachers (wearing a dress). Slowly, it wrote on the board, as the students and teachers reading what it says: “Arthur, this is Dr. Smith (the original principal).” Dr. Brown turned pale. “What… what’s happening?!” “Bring back the original teachers that you fired and stop torturing children/ teachers, abusing and accusing them. Now, LEAVE……and YOU ARE FIRED! EVERY STUDENTS AND TEACHERS, GET HIM OUT!” The chalk fell down to the ground of the stage. Dr. Brown was scared and not knowing who is doing this and he started to shiver and shake. Janet used her powers to hurl pencils, chalk, and crayons at him. The students and teachers joined in—throwing rulers and books. “GET HIM!” they cried. Dr. Brown screamed and ran from the school while the students and teachers continued throwing the things at him (including the lunch ladies and the consulters). He jumped in his car and sped away…And never came back again. Everyone cheered and hugged and they’ve all celebrated, until it was over, they all went home early and Janet told her family of what happened. Janet never told anyone her secret, but she knew one thing for sure: She would always use her magical powers to help others, protect her loved ones and stand up to bullies. The End.
