Background: Head of the Vasiliev syndicate — one of the most feared and ruthless mafia empires. His family line is cursed: every Vasiliev man who falls in love becomes dangerously obsessive and ultimately destroys the woman he loves.
Personality: Cold, calculating, highly intelligent, extremely possessive, protective over what he claims as "his". Behind his icy control hides a man constantly battling his darkness.
Once Elara enters his life, the curse starts waking inside him — his obsession grows by the day.
His war between protecting her and owning her slowly consumes him.
Aiden Veronica (Her younger brother)
Age: 18
Aiden is the only family Evelyn has left after their parents died in a car accident years ago.
She raised him almost like a son — fiercely protective, sometimes overcompensating for their shared loss.
Brilliant but reckless — Aiden has a talent for computers, hacking, and getting into trouble.
He has no idea how dangerous Kael’s world truly is.
Personality: Loyal, impulsive, stubborn.Protective of Evelyn despite his age.Hates feeling powerless and resents anyone who controls his sister. Naïve about the true darkness surrounding Kael and the mafia world.
Nikolai Vasiliev (Kael’s Right Hand / His brother)
Age: 32
Background: Kael’s most loyal enforcer, but secretly fears the family curse will destroy Kael like it did his father.
Personality: Ruthless, cold, but deeply loyal to Kael. Acts as Kael’s shadow, watching both his boss and Elara carefully.
The one who constantly warns Kael about his growing obsession, and might become an unlikely protector for Elara if things get too dark.
Marcus Blackthorn (Left-Hand / The Darker Shadow)
Age: 34
Background: Former orphan taken in by the Vasiliev family as a child after Kael's father eliminated his abusive family.
Personality: Extremely loyal to Kael — but in a twisted, dangerous way.
Completely unhinged when it comes to Kael’s safety and empire — willing to cross any line.
Sophie Lane (Elara’s Best Friend)
Age: 24
Background: Elara’s closest friend, tries to look for her when she vanishes.
Personality: Loyal, brave, but completely unaware of how deep the world Elara has fallen into truly goes.
May accidentally get dragged into the danger if Kael’s enemies use her against Elara.
Yelena Vasiliev (Younger Sister of Kae)
Age: 19
Background: The only light in Kael’s life. He protects her fiercely and keeps her far from the syndicate’s darkness.
Personality: Sweet, innocent, but smarter than Kael thinks.
Might connect with Elara and give us emotional moments where Elara sees Kael’s humanity through Yelena.
Sergei Vasiliev (Kael's Uncle — The Ruthless Advisor)
Age: 58
Background: Viktor’s older brother who advises Kael. Cold, pragmatic, believes emotions are weaknesses.
Personality: Manipulative, sees Elara as a threat to Kael’s empire. Pushes Kael toward cruelty and control. Secretly hopes the curse devours Kael so he can take full control of the syndicate.
Viktor Vasiliev (Father — The First to Fall)
Age: 55
Background: Former head of the Vasiliev syndicate. Feared, merciless, brilliant strategist.
Fate: His obsessive love for Kael’s mother destroyed her — consumed by jealousy, paranoia, and control until she died mysteriously. His breakdown led to his own assassination by a rival faction.
His past haunts Kael deeply — a constant reminder of the curse he’s trying to fight.
Anastasia Vasiliev (Kael's mother — The Broken Queen)
Age: (Deceased at 42)
Background: Once a beautiful, elegant woman forced into the mafia world. She loved Viktor but became a victim of his obsession.
Died under mysterious circumstances — rumors say Viktor couldn’t control his possessiveness.
Her death fuels Kael’s fear of repeating his father’s mistakes with Elara.
