The second bell echoed... not a sound of warning a summons.

nancy

(Whispering) Why did that light react to you?

shisu

I didn't expect it to... not tonight.

nancy

You're really calm for someone facing ghost corridors.

shisu

I've been here before. Just not as a student.

*They enter a dimly lit hallway walls lined with old portraits, all watching.*

nancy

Ugh... those pictures are creepy. Hey, why did you transfer in the middle of the semester?

shisu

Because something is awakening.

nancy

What... kind of thing?

shisu

A locked wing. Sealed decades ago. It only opens when the moon reaches its highest point.

*The hallway ends in a blackened door covered in glowing glyphs.*

nancy

Okay. That door is literally humming.

shisu

This is the Hidden Wing. And something inside knows I'm back.

nancy

(Backing up) Okay, okay, this is creepy-level ten. Do we... knock?

shisu

No need.

*Shisu raises her hand. The glyphs shimmer, then vanish like mist.*

nancy

Did you just-?! What ARE you?

shisu

I used to be a Guardian. A long time ago.

nancy

But... you look like us. A student.

shisu

That's what they want me to be now.

*The door creaks open slowly. Cold air rushes out. Darkness inside pulses like a heartbeat.*

nancy

This feels wrong, Shisu.

shisu

I know. But the moon called me back here for a reason.

*They step inside. The corridor beyond is broken, abandoned glowing faintly with magic.* yet

nancy

What is this place?

shisu

The Wing of Forgotten Spells. My memories... are sealed here.
