Episode 4 : Why are you late?

A ne bustling day at Dafrin Green city. Cars are honking, the food is smelling delicious, there is a cat fight over the supermarket sale. And, oh my! there runs a girl getting late for school. She jumps over the cars as she breaks the signal, dodges the dogs who she had woken up. Climbing over the fences and walls, she finally reaches Josh Dafrin School.

But, the gates are shut. The middle aged security guard came out to interrogate the sweating girl.

"Reason for getting late again. Is it because of your neighborhood dogs, or the traffic or because you forgot you had school?"

The girl smirked,"This time it was because I forgot my homework. I had come very early today, Mr.Kasper." The guard sighed, "Nobody can stop you from coming to school. Come in, if not then you will climb over the gates."

"Wwaaiiittt ffoorr mmeeee!!" screamed a boy dashing into the front of the gates almost bumping into the girl. "Alex, has the sun risen in the west today, why are you late?"said the girl. "Frontier Junior, why the hell did you come late?" screamed Mr.Kasper. Alex, trying to catch a breath finally replied, " Lori, Mr.Kasper, phew, my childhood friend Ethan and his little sister Rose will be coming to school today, so I wanted to surprise them by picking them up but I learnt they had already gone to school and I realized I was late and came running here. My entire surprise was ruined. Brother is going to kill me"

After this, Alex had been panting frantically. Lori pats him and hands him some water. Mr.Kasper said, "Well, calm down you can still surprise them later, go to class for now. I got a call from the office saying that the Houstons had a family emergency so they won't be coming today. I was supposed to leave the gate open for them, but look at both of you. You would have been miserable late."

Lori smiled and dashed inside dragging Alex who would have continued chatting to Mr.Kasper. "See you soon Mr.Kasper, we are getting late for class now."

The school had three buildings, one was a small double storied building, for preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school children along with the school's rabbit house and greenhouse.

The second building was for middle school and high school students. It was huge and well-maintained. There was an indoor swimming pool, basketball court, and indoor games room in the third building. Outside was the school ground big enough for interschool competitions. There was also a baseball practice area and a mini-soccer ground.

Many schools were jealous on the fact that the school had an underground auditorium. It was one of the few best schools of Dafrin Green city.

Running across the mini-soccer ground and dashing up the stairs they finally reached their classroom. They jumped into their seats as they heard the teacher walking around the corner.

"You guys had a very close call today" whispered Jasmine. "Well, I know about Lori but how did Mr.Junior get late?" Alex kept panting and was abot to answer her when Lori stopped him noticing the teacher who had been staring at them.
