Unknowns and Acidic
He turned by accident and frowned when he saw Lavínia coming towards him with a determined look and a half-smile, showing her skill.
"Ah... You're here? You found the room quickly. Why didn't you wait inside?" she asked, smiling awkwardly, staring at him with alarmed eyes, begging for help, while her friend watched curiously. Lavínia grabbed the young man's arm at the same time he tried to cover the phone's speaker.
"Are you crazy?" he said quietly, embarrassed.
"Just help me with this!" she whispered, getting closer to his face.
"It's none of my business, I'm busy right now!" he gritted his teeth, trying to push her away.
"Come on! I'm excited, I'm glad you accepted my invitation!" she said the last word with irritation, pulling him into the room. Zara didn't understand anything but shrugged and went back to talking to the other guy.
"What do you think you're doing?" he asked next, having no choice but to hang up the call, turning the doorknob to leave.
"No!" Lavínia pulled him in a panic. "I really need to escape from her."
"Pick another man to use. As far as I know, men like me don't disgust you?" he asked, staring at her coldly, leaving her confused.
"What are you talking about?" she smiled, embarrassed.
"That men like me are selfish and full of themselves?" he asked with irony in his voice. She then understood.
"And it seems like you also like to eavesdrop on other people's conversations behind doors." she said with disdain.
"I’m not to blame if there was no other bathroom but that one." he commented next, turning the doorknob again.
"You can't leave now." she pulled him, pressing him against the wall, even though he was taller and stronger than her.
"For someone who thinks I’m needy, you must be pretty desperate, huh?" he asked, while she swallowed nervously, embarrassed.
"How dare you?"
"You don't seem to be any better than those women in there. Besides, if I'm not such a big deal, you're even less. Not my type." he said, pushing her away. Lavínia froze, but laughed cynically, catching his attention, and he gave up on opening the door and leaving.
"Not your type? How arrogant, big deal."
"And you? Big deal too... Let me think." he commented, looking around disinterested, pretending to be impressed. "From what I heard, your friend threw this party for you, and now you're in this luxury room... And..." He stopped talking when he saw the graduation picture with Zara and Lavínia from a few years ago. "Ah... you're the poor friend of the rich friend, who gets to enjoy her parties and luxury apartment."
"Ah..." Lavínia lost her words, staring at him in surprise. "That's exactly it, so don't think I'm desperate, I just want to escape and leave." she said, stammering, making him laugh.
"From what I heard... the way she spoke, you must be pretty bitter. Do you really think you have the right to talk about things you don't know?" he asked, scolding her.
"Are you defending your depraved friends? Because most of them were dragged by them."
"I'm talking about myself! I don't care what they're doing, but I don't like empty insults."
"I won't take any word back, and as I said, I don't want you to think I'm provoking you or anything like that."
"Yes, yes, I'm not your type, and I'm not after an arrogant and boring woman like you. With that damn temper, I don't know what man would want to be near you."
"How dare you?" she said, raising her hand against him, but he grabbed her wrist before it could hit.
"You're hurting my wrist!" she protested, while he kept his eyes locked on hers.
"You tried to raise your hand against me!" he said between gritted teeth.
"Lavínia, are you okay?" she heard Zara ask from the other side of the door.
"I'm fine, I'm leaving!" he said, letting her go, but Lavínia pushed him against the wall, making a heavy noise that made Zara jump back with wide eyes.
"I'm fine. We're not leaving the room tonight! The party is over for me!" she warned, while she felt his hands involuntarily on her waist.
"I'm here in the hallway if you need anything!" Zara called out, excited.
Lavínia sighed with relief, leaning her forehead against his chest, which remained straight, staring at the ceiling. She then raised her face, staring at him. Her eyes shone with challenge, while she felt his firm hands on her waist.
"Am I boring?" she asked, as he lowered his gaze, meeting hers and noticing the sparks. His words faded.
"Can I leave now?" he asked, holding his breath as he felt her sweet scent, which intoxicated him, making the heat rise through his body, his hands tightening even more around her waist.
"I said we're not leaving tonight, neither you nor I..." she said with a calm and soft voice like a melody, invading his eardrums, and he eventually gave in when she stood on tiptoe, reached for his lips, and let out a muffled moan as she felt his fingers sink into her skin with force.
