Chapter 3: The Tragic Civilian in the Love Reality Show

“What’s wrong, Amin?”  Jiang Yi’s gentle voice came from the other end of the line.

“Yi Ge, that reality show director, he’s so clueless. I was just feeling under the weather and wanted to rest for a day, film tomorrow, and he actually told me to get lost.” Xiao Min’s clear voice had a hint of a sob.

“Okay, okay, baby, don’t cry, I'll help you solve this.” Jiang Yi gently coaxed Xiao Min.

Xiao Min flashed a determined smile.

Jiang Yu sat on the soft bed in the room, smiling as he read the text message he had received.  He was so happy that he almost rolled all over the bed. But then, he thought about the fact that he had to film the first episode of the love cabin, that he couldn’t leave early, and his beautiful brow furrowed in disappointment.

If anyone else saw this scene, who could refuse Jiang Yu's request? Who could bear to see such a beautiful face with such a sad expression?

But Jiang Yu felt like he was just an ordinary person and didn’t want to bother Director Wang and the others.

In the end, Jiang Yu could only harden his heart and reject Chasing Light.

[Sorry, something came up with the show.  They were missing a guest last minute and the director asked me to fill in, so I’ll be on set for the next few days.]

After typing that, Jiang Yu felt like something was missing, and finally, blushing, he added:

[Missing you.]

Jiang Yu closed his phone, looking at the small balcony outside the room. The sunlight was just right, shining through the white gauze curtains into the room. The glass door was slightly warm from the sun.

Jiang Yu’s heart felt a strange flutter. He pushed open the warm glass door and walked out onto the balcony, leaning against the railing, overlooking the garden below the villa.

You stand on stage and look at the scenery, but someone is also standing below looking at you.

Lu Bai read Ayue's reply with sweet anticipation, but he was a little worried that he wouldn't be able to see him again.  As he looked up, he saw the person on the balcony, a person of extraordinary beauty, a celestial being.

For the first time, Lu Bai lost his composure, he stood stiffly under the scorching sun, staring at the figure on the balcony. He didn't even notice that his black coat was burning under the sun.  Perhaps his gaze was too intense, and Jiang Yu’s eyes unconsciously turned towards Lu Bai.

In that one glance, just one glance, Lu Bai called out the name that had been on his mind.

“Ayue?”

“Ayue!”

"Ayue!!"

Lu Bai called out more and more confidently. This person was his Ayue, he loved this person, he loved him, he wanted to be with him for a lifetime. No, he wanted to be with him for eternity, even death wouldn’t be able to separate them.

His light, his god, his only truth.

Jiang Yu stared at Lu Bai blankly, "Who are you...?"

As if realizing something, Jiang Yu called out the name "Chasing Light." It wasn’t that Lu Bai hadn’t told Jiang Yu his real name, but this world had a force that prevented them from meeting.

But now, due to Jiang Yu's awakened consciousness, everything was different.

Jiang Yu stood on the balcony, a gentle breeze blowing through his fine black hair, revealing his clean and beautiful forehead.  One glance, and eternity was in his eyes.

He was attracted to Ayue, apparently during his thirty-two years of being single, he had been waiting for Ayue. Then why had he never felt so desperate to see him before?

Why, why, he had been in this city for so long, why hadn't he seen Ayue even once?

Something was wrong! Something was wrong! This world was wrong! Who was stopping him?!

Lu Bai's original brown eyes were now tinged with a destructive crimson.

[Alert! Alert!]

[World is experiencing a breakdown situation!]

[To stabilize the world’s balance, player points have been automatically deducted to repair the world.]

Wait, mainframe. No, those were my points!

[Objection overruled, points automatically deducted.]

Jiang Yu looked at the man below, feeling as if something important had returned to his body. His originally stunning features became even more radiant. Whether it was stolen or taken, what wasn’t theirs would never belong to them.

Lu Bai also calmed down, as if something had temporarily suppressed the doubts and anger in his heart.

He wanted to see him, to see him up close, to be able to hold him in his arms.

Wait for me.

Lu Bai silently uttered these two words to Jiang Yu, and ran towards Jiang Yu’s room.

All notions of elegance, gentlemanly conduct, morality, and shame were left behind, all Lu Bai wanted now was Jiang Yu.

His god, yes, that’s right, he is mine.
